Google VPN in Australia is so fast it doesn't affect my speed like others. I own a pixel so I already accepted Google will have my info. I also have active subscriptions to Nordvpn and Surfshark for comparison.
Yeah I live in the us and have had PIA for the last 7 years and I have 3 more years paid for, but was looking for a VPN to simply keep my employer from seeing what I'm doing on my phone while at work on work wifi. Plus to protect me from my co-workers who also use that WiFi. I'm not sure if I should still be scared of pineapples.
This VPN is just a bonus feature but a full fledged VPN. Also, I would argue that most people use a VPN for privacy as opposed to accessing Geo locked content. Or maybe that's just me.
@@gregamania1327 Well it is a VPN however it's a very basic one because it's essentially a free bonus service you receive with your cloud storage subscription. Comparing it to dedicated VPN services is just dumb... It'd be like ordering Spaghetti Bolognese then trying to compare the ground beef with a Rib Eye at the next table! 🍝🤷♂🥩
You really can't say it's not meant to be a vpn subscription when it's called Google one VPN. They are not a big enough player in the space to change the meaning of the term. The concept of VPN at its foundation is platform agnostic. Now here's the kicker.... it's a VPN by definition. You can't cite country selection as a core VPN function. That's a feature you like and you've become accustomed to. Does it have useful features compared to its competitors? No. But it is a vpn
Well, technically it should hide it from ISP and third parties, like every reputable VPN. I just don't trust this one enough 😆 You could also use Tor browser

I mainly use Google one for the storage though, the VPN is a nice bonus.

One like to this video my friend 😊 good work
So it's good for hiding your IP from hackers, but it doesn't help you circumvent international geo restrictions.

it's not meant to be a vpn subscription it's a cloud storage with a bonus vpn, so stop comparing it to vpn service company
They advertise the feature as a VPN.

You can choose if you want a location further to you. The VPN is free with online storage... You are salty mate.
They're taking it away crazy ain't it mate?
If you all notice even when using Google VPN and watching RUclips or any website you will still get the same local ads !!!.......hmmmmm , interesting.
it doesnt cost anything...and me speeds dont change
It's crazy they are taking it away!!
So it's not a free vpn?! Then why put it into the phone
if you buy a pixel phone you enjoy all google perks
The Killswitch doesn't work
What a joke. Why even have a VPN if you are going to use this? Use a third party vpn or nothing.
