@@user-wt8im2ro1p …Houston traded pitcher Josh Fields for Alvarez in 2016. Alvarez was just 19 yo. Dodgers had no idea what they had. Astros developed him in their minor league and in 2019 he won AL Rookie of the Year. And now ALCS MVP. Alvarez is a HOF in the making.

I think it's amazing that Yordan is finally getting his shine. Dude's been one of the most underrated hitters in the league the past couple of years.

@@rhuytrser9389 AAA doesn't mean anything really. There's a tons of talent every year that perform amazingly at the AAA level that plateau there and can never flourish in the league. Also, it's not uncommon for some players to heat up for a stretch like the playoffs - look at a guy like Corey Seager, incredible playoff runs but is otherwise just a decent daily player that hasn't been an All-Star for years now.
I'll give Yordan some time before considering him overated/underrated. He doesn't even have 1000 major league PA to judge from.

Seriously having Yuli, Aledmys and the other Latinos must have accelerated his growth. Could not have been this good so early on the Dodgers.
