i guess im randomly asking but does someone know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me!
Very cool! Inflatable SUPs seem terrific, just for the lighter weight itself. I don't think I'd ever own one anytime soon, but they make a lot of sense. I do like the idea of being able to keep it in a corner of your garage somewhere out of UV rays. Also great solution for someone who maybe lives in apartment.
Yes, they are very cool and make plenty of sense... I'm actually maybe liking it better than my hard Kahuna. Time will tell but I'm thinking there is a chance an inflatable may become my primary craft!
At 02:20 you were right. There is a selector switch on the pumps. I do double stroke pump at start and finish with the single stroke selector option to get the last bit of PSI. That is the way my inflatable board is. Great vid Trip you will love inflatable sups I think. They are SO LIGHTWEIGHT.
Gotcha Justin! Yes, I do think I will love them.... I was very impressed and I'm looking into others to use long term on my overnight trips. Congrats on 20k BTW ;)
Thanks for this review! My husband and I are actually going to buy a couple of inflatable SUPs tonight. We live 1/4 mile from the river and want something easy and convenient to use a couple of hours at a time. We have never been paddle-boarding before, but I am really excited now!!
I'm on my second season with my inflatable SUP and here is some wisdom: 1. There is zero concern for loss of air pressure once inflated. I go weeks without needing to top off the pressure. (I SUP about 3-4 times per week.) 2. Just because it can deflate, doesn't mean you have to deflate it. If you can rack it, do it. Pumping it up EVERY DANG TIME gets irksome very quickly. Plus, it's better for the vinyl not to be folded/creased. And you can use your pumping energy for paddling instead! 3. Repairs are way easier than with a hard board. 4. Inflatables are not that much more inefficient than hard boards. Almost imperceptible for anyone but hardcore SUPers.
thanks for the video. You are making me look at touring kayaks and paddleboards too! I really appreciate what you are preaching! If more people got "out there" then we would be a happier world!
I have a Jimmy Stix ISUP I bought at Costco in San Diego spring 2017, I love that thing, great quality and easy to use. I went to Tower and picked up a electric pump, just a little quicker but I can get other gear ready while it’s pumping.
That's awesome Pete! yea, I like using a compressor as well. typically I just leave mine inflated at least partially then top them off when I'm going paddling.
Recommendation from a certified freediver here. Don’t dive with the snorkel in you’re mouth. If you were to blackout you’re jaw will clamp around the snorkel and water will flow in. But if you don’t have a snorkel in, the water will stay out, giving you more time to be rescued.
I really liked this video. I recently moved from a crowded area of West Coast to more chill area w ponds, lakes, rivers and have felt so active & in element. Kayaks, SUPs, but now u make me want to snorkel too. Very nice vibe to this video. Think this is answer for this upstairs apt dweller w no garage or roof rack. Will subscribe.
As someone with a two-seater coupe and an obsession with not tying stuff to my roof where it and ropes can scuff my paint, inflatable anything is literally the only way I'm going to take a boat with me. I'm in the market for a SUP like that one. LOVE the $90 Amazon inflatable yak but I'd love to, you know... stand up. $600 is steep to me but it did seem very firm. I'd be interested in a long-ish term review video and / or some camping vids with this thing. Keep it up mate.
Well Eric, I'd vote for a SUP over a kayak ;) They have a less expensive one that's like 10'2" and is only $370! Check it out - amzn.to/2LEuFA5 I plan on doing a camping trip with it this weekend so we will see how it goes ;) Should be an adventure!
Great video! That water is amazing. Can’t believe it is so crystal clear. Definitely enjoying all of the spring fed spots you’ve been filming at recently.
Aside from the gear reviews, which have influenced a lot of my gear purchases. I really enjoy watching the locations you go to. I’m centrally located to most of them here in Panama City. Hoping to get at least one overnighter in this summer. Paddle on Trip!
This would fit the bill for me. We have a camper and a canoe, the kicker, no rack on the truck for the canoe. So this would go great in the back of the truck. When boondocking near a lake, it would be handy to carry this down to the water's edge for a little exploring. Thanks for sharing.
I think they would make things easier for lots of people which would make them Get Out There more often. You're welcome! Hope you get one and enjoy it as much as I do!
Good to see this. I think I might pick one of these up, looks like a fun change of pace from my kayaks. Might try some fly fishing on it. Thanks for the video!
It certainly is "fun" and easy.... I think they would be perfect for fly fishing as there isn't much for your line to get tangled up in. Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome!!! I need to get the camera set up! I just purchased a sup board so stocked to try it!! Thanks so much for this video it’s going to help me out!!
I think for the casual paddle boarder (like me) the only downside is getting the board inflated enough! Pump for 5 minutes, check the psi, its only at 13.... pump for 2 more minutes, its only at 14...
Your welcome Nate! I'm actually seriously considering using an inflatable for overnighters.... From what I've been learning they are pretty trustworthy
This is awesome. I just got my first ISUP this week. I have never done it before.. so watching this was good. Looking forward to getting out in the bay and giving it a go now
Hey Trip, thanks for the video. I know I asked you last fall about these and I am glad to see you followed through with a video. I was looking at ISUP to put in the camper so I that I wouldn't have to haul full size kayaks or boards along with the camper. That is just more stuff to load up when it is time to head out. Knowing a guy that uses a regular board likes these makes it a little easier to decide.
You betcha Mitch! Yep, I had really been wanting to test them out. Glad I did! Man, I wouldn't hesitate to tell you to get one... I'm really shocked at how well it did and I'm seriously considering making an ISUP my primary vessel.... Get one and Get Out There!!!
Great Video! Ive been looking at getting a SUP to take up as a hobby, im from ireland and there are so many lakes and rivers i want to explore but also dont have a lot of space at home so the compact design seems like a great option for me! Thanks for showing what the setup process is like with one, very helpful!
How did you leave the board when you went snorkeling? Did u tie it up? Thx! Lol! I guess I'm so used to a current that losing the board was my first thought!
Great vid! Thus is one of my favorite places for a short paddle. Reedy Creek comes in across from the boat ramp. Its a nice paddle up the creek if you can get between all the trees before it opens up.
Hey thanks Steve!!!! Ah, never tried Reedy Creek but I remember seeing it when the water was lower on past trips Out There. I guess I'll have to check it out next time I'm there when the water gets back to normal. Thanks for the info!!!
Thankya Roman!!!! Yea it's pretty nice Out There.... But it was actually pretty murky compared to how it is normally. So I'll just have to go back to get some better shots ;)
A little late... But... On amazon there is an amazing inflatable kayak for 57.00. I had it forever but eventually bought a real one. 👍 hope you got your yak.
Please keep on making your videos I love them and now I can't make it out there because I had surgery on my arm so I'm stuck at home but enjoying your videos thank you for sharing
Thanks for the review of the SUP. I was interested to see how rigid the board is. I am a windsurfer and due to saving space that SUP looks brillant! Have you ever used a Packraft kayak? Sally in Wales...UK
You're welcome Sally! It was surprisingly rigid... They have some inflatable windsurfing sups as well that look pretty sweet over at Red Paddle Co ;) I haven't but I'd love to!
OK ... I just got a Sea Eagle FS 126 (12 ft 6 in long) board made for fishing 500 lbs complicity. I got it pumped to 7 PSI and was very stiff. This Sea Eagle FS 126 also needs 12-15 psi. You don't want to over pump these things or they may blow up, plus threw out the day if it gets hotter then air inside gets hot and the pressure will go up. So you may want to pump it to 13 or 14 psi only depending on the time of the day and how long you'll be on the water. Anyway, I'm pumping and pumping for about 10 min it gets very stiff and there no pressure registering. So I disconnect from the board, take off the hose (pump similar to yours) and put my thumb on the hole and push down on the plunger to see if I can get the needle on the gauge to move. After a few tries I finally get the needle to move. I connect it to the boat and its now registering about 4 psi. I pump some more, another 2 -3 min or so to 7-8 psi, so I'm thinking I got a bad gauge and I don't want to over pump it. After watching you now I'm thinking there nothing wrong, but do I want to risk a $1000 investment? NO way! I think I will go get another separate $9 gauge and if nothing wrong with the gauge means more pumping. I also ordered an electric pump, I can set the psi and it shuts off when completed. All that pumping wore me out and I'm 63 years old and it looked it did you in at the end there, but being much younger you recovered much faster ...
Side note about Morrison: I've been to Morrison Springs three times since they redid the boat ramp several years ago, and every time the water hasn't been much too clearer than it is shown here. I wonder if it's all the swimmers (because it's so commercialized now) and boats churning up the water too much? Two of the three times there was visible oil in the water, and I know others have also complained of it. What a terrible idea to the planners who thought adding a boat ramp next door to a fragile ecosystem spring was a good idea.
Interesting point about the boat ramp being so close.... But there weren't many boats there this day, I think I saw 2. There are quite a few swimmers though... I have been when it's been super clear so who knows?
I have seaeagle inflatable kayak. You would like that. Very fast kayak. It goes very easy against stream. (Rocky creek, Turkey creek, Boiling creek, Econfina....) a lot of cool stuff around here 👍
Just did some looking around at those creeks.... Would you mind terrible shooting me an email, I'd love to get some more info on those spots if you have something to share ;) There is a contact form on my homepage - tripsmith.live/
i've been thinking about one of those inflatable sups .. thanks for the vis.. you need to put vance or one of the other guys on it on your next river adventure
So im looking at either an inflatable kayak or an inflatable sup to just mess around in at the beach or in a harbor. Which do you think would be better, more fun, better workout faster etc. (ive also never tried either before)
Not to get off subject but I had a kiddie inflatable boat , roughly enough size to hold an average weight 4 foot tall kid , that I used to tow a cooler with ice , a backpack , two fishing poles, and a 5 " cast net while wading for roughly a year . Three months during that year it hung in a tree . When I no longer couldn't go fishing for lack of transportation I got rid of that mildew sun faded inflatable boat . It was still inflatable when I got rid of that $12 inflatable boat .
How compact would you say is when its deflated and bagged up? Im trying to see if I could put this in a trunk of a mustang. Seems compact, but looks can be deceiving.
You're welcome Miriam! I think it's very much worth buying an inflatable.... Here is another video where I compared a few different brands - ruclips.net/video/IhNBGxzMoVM/видео.html Definitely check it out as it will help answer your questions.
Ever thought about bringing dive gear and making a dive from your kayak or paddle board? I have dove there. Its a nice relaxing dive. A lot of inflow from the cave.
apply liquid soap or shampoo to inner goggle lens and gently rinse out to prevent fogging (use baby shampoo if u have sensitive eyes). unfortunately u have to repeat each trip but it is easy to do...just carry a small bottle of the liquid in the bag holding your goggles. most all goggles eventually start fogging up after the factory coating wears away
i only apply a small dab and gently spread it around with a fingertip, and then dunk the goggles a couple times in the water to rinse away the runny soapy water
Yea, we would do that when cave diving years ago in these springs. It worked pretty good, I should probably start packing some with me... Thanks for the info!
Ummmm depends. On this video I just tied it off. I have rarely used an anchor though. I have one that I used once just to see how it did.... If I were in more open water though I'd use one. I like the Cooper Anchors, they are plastic and work REALLY well. I use them on my larger boats and they have a small kayak/SUP size one!
Always enjoyable watching someone who is absolutely ripped, Get absolutely wrecked pumping their board. Wondering about the strange heat lines? waves? in the video?
Trip Smith Yeah, but that guy who died at blue spring park in Deland, fl. Gator got him and drowned him. But I know you can’t live in fear. Also I think he went in the morning before many people were out.
Thanks Trip for your fantastic journeys- the underwater vision is really interesting to another olde diver - best wishes from peter allen VK4LLE and VK4HOY Australia 73s
Wow crazy to think you made Morrison Springs famous😂...I work there in Ponce and love it there! It’s a hidden gem bc the town is so small. I just hate how cold that water is!
Great video and review. Was wondering why you only have 1 fin installed ? MinI has 3 (1 large in the middle, 2 smaller outer fins) and it tracks wonderfully. Would like to hear about deflation on a 3 day trip. Heck, just take the pump with you as you’ll be carrying camping gear anyway.
Glad you enjoyed it! Well, there comes a trade off where you can have more fins than you need and more fins create more drag. I guess it really doesn't matter how many you have. It performed well with the one large fin so I didn't feel I needed the extra drag of two more. If I were in a really shallow area though I might take it off and just run the two short fins. I didn't deflate much. I did take the pump with me on a 3 day trip which was no problem. They do make small pumps that would be perfect for this though. Watch the adventure here - ruclips.net/video/p6nOuOue1Y8/видео.html&lc=Ugy-gwCnMd-lJaJLwbR4AaABAg
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Ummmm, I would check out this one here - irockersup.com/nautical-106-standup-paddle-board/?acc=182be0c5cdcd5072bb1864cdee4d3d6e
That one is Leader Accessories - I'd highly suggest a Blackfin though. Check out this video of mine where I compare and go over inflatables ruclips.net/video/IhNBGxzMoVM/видео.html&lc=UgyGXPI9hpnZEnr2jiF4AaABAg
It was good to meet you last weekend. I was doing a Coldwater excursion trip to a spring and you were there with your family. Too bad I don’t make it in a video haha. Next time you’re in Arkansas (if ever) you should do a float trip on the buffalo river in northeast Arkansas.
Hey Seth! Yea man it was great to meet you to man!!! Unfortunately for you I wasn't filming that day, just doing the family thing.... Oh boy, the Buffalo is certainly on my bucket list... Pretty high up there ;P
Thanks. I would love to hear more about this board. I’m on a tight budget for a paddle board but I’m really wanting to get me and my kids involved in the sport. How do feel about this after owning it for a while?
I have nothing bad to say about it and I even used it on a 3-day camping trip as well. These are actually out of stock at the moment... I would suggest a iRocker board next. It's a touch more expensive but you really get more for your money. A much better bag, better pump and just better quality. Check em out - $630 amzn.to/2Ac9HqF Or this Peak board is very similar to the Leader Accessories board at $550 - amzn.to/2NMUTAy
Another awesome video brotha!! Your editing and cinematography is superb that diving sequence was UNREAL!!(= I just bought a couple packrafts cause they're way cheaper than SUP boards but that's what I really want hopefully soon I'll get a good quality board, stay safe&happy😁✊🔥
I watched your other video comparing inflatable boards and you favored the board that was middle-of-the-road, the Blackfin. The board you are in in this video is on the lower price point. Did you like this board? I just ordered the Freein Explorer SUP Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board ISUP 11" Long 33" Wide with Sport Camera Mount Package because it’s really more in my budget and before I watched your videos. Do you think my board will be good for a lower price point? It seems well constructed, but it hasn’t arrived yet. I’m a novice at paddle boarding and used to paddle board on rivers. Now I’m living in Japan and want the ability of the inflatable because I have a small car and will paddle in the ocean now, which is very different from fresh water.
I'm sure the board will work just fine. Personally I'd prefer one with more handles, a better pump and better bag to store it in. Also, the paddle looks like it may not be of the best quality. But it will get you on the water and that's what matters!
Man I am glad you did this video! I have been tossing around getting a regular bote board or an inflatable one. The inflatable one is like $700 cheaper! But I had no idea if it was tough enough or felt the same and all those other concerns you mentioned. Great question that was also in my mind was the one you had about it saying inflated on 3 day trips. If it doesn’t that’s a deal breaker. I’d just spent the extra money I guess. That pump is enormous! Nice job Trip!
Happy to hear that! I saw an inflatable BOTE the other day at another spring. Looked pretty sweet! A few things I've learned about inflatables recently. You get what you pay for.... I'm looking hard at the Red Paddle Co SUP's as they seem to be the best out there.... Plus they have mounts on them for scotty and ram mounts! Also, I've spoken with someone from the company asking about them holding air. They said they have left some inflated for a whole summer before! They also shared a link with me of a small pump you can carry with you just in case that's not as big as the main pump. You should see the tests they put the Red Paddle boards through.... You've got to see this - ruclips.net/video/jJiCVw6UCF4/видео.html
That is definitely a bad boy... I'd love to try one out for sure. Looking at the specs, that thing is a big BOTE. 38" wide is WIDE and 45lbs is fairly heavy as well for an inflatable. It would be a good fishing machine but I don't think I'd want to paddle for multiday trips much when they have the Traveler which is 30" wide and 30 lbs.
THEN you have the Red Paddle Co Voyagers. The largest of the two, the 13'2" is 30" wide and 25lbs. Also it has a batten system in the sides that makes it quite a bit stifffer from what I've learned. So you get more length (which equals easier speed) and lighter weight plus a few other design features that would help it paddle straighter as well like their runner fins on the front and back to improve tracking. Something else I learned is that the Red Paddle boards can be inflated up to 25psi compared to most boards at 15psi or so (not sure what BOTE board are rated at). The higher the PSI = the stiffer the board... I'm sure any of them would be AWESOME boards though in the end......
I love that you can do so much with it and carry a bunch. It’s that big. It should be a lot easier to deal with that the kaku that I was originally considering and I don’t need a better rack on my fj.
Thanks boss! I really appreciate that comment as sometimes it's tough to do a lot of overnights. Headed out for a three nighter tomorrow though! Should be a good one!
Hi, Trip 👍🏻👊🏻 I have always wondered about inflatable SUP,s if they really perform and hold air if your going to be on a long day or overnight camp adventure. I enjoyed watching your video taking a little short paddle adventure always a good time. Thanks for sharing, enjoy and have a Great Friday !!! Danny
I've wondered about them just the same Danny. After using it this past weekend for 3 days I found that it's a very realistic option for multiple reasons. It held air pretty well. The first morning waking up I checked the pressure and it lost less than 1.5 PSI so I topped it back off to 15. Then the next morning I checked it again and it hadn't lost any... still at 15 so that says a lot.
Thanks Bob! Well, I will let you know in the next adventure that starts this weekend! Doing a 3-day trip and I plan on taking the inflatable ;) Should be exciting and I'll probably leave the chest at home. I find I enjoy less and less as time goes on...
I got my ``Certification`` There too ,,, and offshore in Destin Memorial day weekend 1983. The cave is Spooky. Crazy cool Video as Always. Thanks Trip !!! ***cheers*** =)
Nice! Facebook.... and create something unique and different that will make people want to be part of the group. Geocaching? Trash cleanup? Wildlife touring? Racing? Moonlight paddles? Bring something different to the table ;)
Very beautiful waters & awesome sup, again I’m new in the paddle board scene & wanting to do some diving as well, are there good flippers you would recommend that are affordable but reliable? I had some I believe like $25 pair a long time ago but they were so generic they ripped. A mistake buying those & not asking someone that knows first lol.
THanks!!!! I would suggest Cressi fins.... I have been using my same pair for 15 years probably.... Jump on Amazon amzn.to/4502uTP and read the reviews and see which pair is right for you.
6:03 can we just take a minute to apreciate that smooth hopping on board scene?? wow..
Lol absolutely. The secret is the paddle placement 😎👍🏼
i guess im randomly asking but does someone know a way to log back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow lost the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me!

Thanks for clarifying some questions I had about SUP boards!

Very nice stuff ;)

dougdevine27 thanks for that info. I’m still undecided as to whether I want an inflatable paddle board or not.
We bought a rigid SUP 4-5 years ago and never use it. I think the portability of the inflatables is a huge benefit.
Yes, that is a big deal. If it's to hard to transport you won't use it as much. Get a ISUP ;)
thanks for the video. You are making me look at touring kayaks and paddleboards too! I really appreciate what you are preaching! If more people got "out there" then we would be a happier world!
No problem! Lol Just preaching my findings :) INdeed it would be!

Lol Matt, I feel ya. I have an adapter that allows me to hook to an air compressor which is nice. If you have that option, go for it!
Thanks for this video. I have thought about getting one of these for just day trips but had some concerns. Cleared up a lot of questions I have had.
Your welcome Nate! I'm actually seriously considering using an inflatable for overnighters.... From what I've been learning they are pretty trustworthy

Nice to see it fit back into the bag once deflated..always a concern with tents, chairs etc...
I know it! I was happy to find that it was really simple to put back lol
Thanks for the info!!!
really cool seeing other people enjoy paddleboading like I do!
Yes! Paddleboarding is awesome!
Pretty cool. Looks like it worked way better than I was picturing! Nice video!
Yep, it worked better than I expected as well! Thanks!
Great video Trip! Those underwater shots looked great. Beautiful.
Thankya Roman!!!! Yea it's pretty nice Out There.... But it was actually pretty murky compared to how it is normally. So I'll just have to go back to get some better shots ;)
Trip you're getting me pumped for my vacation to Florida!
Awesome! Enjoy it!
I'm glad u had a hard time pumping it too LOL I'm nowhere as fit as you and struggled a bit haha! Great video :)
Haha! It's all worth it once you're on the water!
I found a inflatable kayak at a thrift store, it came in a backpack with a paddle, wasn't sure if it would hold up. Now i want to go back and buy it
I'd jump online and research it first. Some of them are better than others ;) But at a thrift store if the price is good enough it doesn't matter!
Go get it! That’s how I started
Blake Hurst there’s probably a reason it’s at a thrift store
A little late... But... On amazon there is an amazing inflatable kayak for 57.00. I had it forever but eventually bought a real one. 👍 hope you got your yak.
Amazing video, thanks for making it look and feel so peaceful! Tomorrow will be my first trip, I can’t wait
You're welcome! Hope you enjoyed it.
Since we have a Jeep Wrangler with soft top, I really appreciate the review! We actually stumbled upon these Springs just last year!!
You're welcome! What a great spot huh?
Please keep on making your videos I love them and now I can't make it out there because I had surgery on my arm so I'm stuck at home but enjoying your videos thank you for sharing
Will do Cristina! Hope your arm gets better soon so you can get back Out There!
Trip Smith I can't wait to see a video with your family going out there with you
Well. I’m late to the party but I’m super excited to try out my new inflatable SUP tomorrow morning!
Hey no worries! Hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the comment!
@@TripSmith As it turned out nothing wrong with the gauge. Got me a OutdoorMaster Shark electric Pump ... so much better ...
florida is an awesome place! it's got all kinds of great places to play in! try the Sanibel island area! great place for a paddleboard!
It really is.... I would love to get down that way one day...
When you dive when using your snorkel how do you avoid water going into your mouth? Is it the snorkel? Im just getting into the hobby
Love Morrison Springs! I’m only about 45 mins from there.
Ever find out what that red thing attached to the pump does ?
One of my favorite fishing holes over the years
Really? That's awesome!
Awesome, I think I’m sold, great video
Wonderful Claire!
Searches paddle boards. Saw abs. Stayed for beautiful springs.
Haha! It was a win win Amy ;)
I have seaeagle inflatable kayak. You would like that. Very fast kayak. It goes very easy against stream. (Rocky creek, Turkey creek, Boiling creek, Econfina....) a lot of cool stuff around here 👍
Yea I really would like to try one.... I've seen one in person and I was impressed. Turkey Creek is high on my list ;)
You're welcome! Oh yea! that would be a good time!
A basic air-mattress pump works great. You will want to keep the hand pump to top it off though.
Yea, I plan on bringing a electric pump in the future. It would save a few minutes....
So im looking at either an inflatable kayak or an inflatable sup to just mess around in at the beach or in a harbor. Which do you think would be better, more fun, better workout faster etc. (ive also never tried either before)
SUP....... But I might suggesting renting one somewhere first just to give it a try.
After using the inflatable paddle boards, what is your preference between that and a kayak for a weekend trip?
ISUPs for sure. I have 5 now ;)
Not to get off subject but I had a kiddie inflatable boat , roughly enough size to hold an average weight 4 foot tall kid , that I used to tow a cooler with ice , a backpack , two fishing poles, and a 5 " cast net while wading for roughly a year . Three months during that year it hung in a tree . When I no longer couldn't go fishing for lack of transportation I got rid of that mildew sun faded inflatable boat . It was still inflatable when I got rid of that $12 inflatable boat .
Lol nice! There are always ways to make our time Out There better! Good job
How compact would you say is when its deflated and bagged up? Im trying to see if I could put this in a trunk of a mustang. Seems compact, but looks can be deceiving.
It will fit
Oh yea, it'll fit!
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm new at paddle board. So.. Is worth to buy the inflatable one. ? Vs. hard board. ? do you recommend a brand?
You're welcome Miriam! I think it's very much worth buying an inflatable.... Here is another video where I compared a few different brands - ruclips.net/video/IhNBGxzMoVM/видео.html Definitely check it out as it will help answer your questions.
@@TripSmith awesome! Thank you! 😊✌
@@miriamdayana7047 You betcha! 👍🏻
What a energy ❤ Loved so much.
Haha! Glad you enjoyed it!
Ever thought about bringing dive gear and making a dive from your kayak or paddle board? I have dove there. Its a nice relaxing dive. A lot of inflow from the cave.
I've thought about it but it's kinda a waste in my opinion.... I used to dive the cave there years ago, many times. Great spot!
Always could dive like that on one of you ocean trips. PCB? etc...
whats the difference between using the one fin and putting on the other 2?
Maybe slightly better tracking but slightly more drag..... not much difference. The two small ones would be good in a real shallow creek though
apply liquid soap or shampoo to inner goggle lens and gently rinse out to prevent fogging (use baby shampoo if u have sensitive eyes). unfortunately u have to repeat each trip but it is easy to do...just carry a small bottle of the liquid in the bag holding your goggles. most all goggles eventually start fogging up after the factory coating wears away
i only apply a small dab and gently spread it around with a fingertip, and then dunk the goggles a couple times in the water to rinse away the runny soapy water
Yea, we would do that when cave diving years ago in these springs. It worked pretty good, I should probably start packing some with me... Thanks for the info!
omg. What a beautiful place. You are so blessed.
Yes I am!
Do you use an anchor when swimming off the SUP?
Ummmm depends. On this video I just tied it off. I have rarely used an anchor though. I have one that I used once just to see how it did.... If I were in more open water though I'd use one. I like the Cooper Anchors, they are plastic and work REALLY well. I use them on my larger boats and they have a small kayak/SUP size one!
What an amazing place to be able to swim in and be able to see so much under water.
Oh yea! And it was actually pretty murky compared to normal ;) So I'll have to go back and do some more filming for ya.
What kind of a mount were you using on attaching to your paddle board for recording the video?
Just a mini manfroto tripod gear tied to the front handle.
What did you use to mount your camera to the front of your sup???
What are the other two slots on the bottom for? Looks like more fin slots
Spots for two other smaller fins if you want them. They would be good to use in shallower water instead of having the deeper fin.
Always enjoyable watching someone who is absolutely ripped, Get absolutely wrecked pumping their board.
Wondering about the strange heat lines? waves? in the video?
Haha! The lines are the auto focus on the cell phone I was using..... I don't use it any longer.
@@TripSmith we have a tower adventure 2. And more recently a blackfin v. Greatest toys ever.
Easily get a few miles off the coast. Then notice it deflating. What do you do?
Paddle quickly lol
Thanks for video! What is the brand fir the dry bag you liked (or you have)
You're welcome! My favorite dry bag is my OUTXE dry bag. It has a zipper top closer and three pockets on the outside 👍🏻
Trip Smith thanks for such a quick reply :) do you really enjoy iSuP? Still figuring out solid or Inflatable question ☺️
Really good video . Do you worry about gators 🐊 when your diving ?
That SUP is really nice 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it! Nah.... They worry about me ;) lol Yes it is! Love the inflatables!
Thank You Peter! I love the underwater stuff..... Love it! Take care down there!
Trip Smith you should try treasure hunting under water
Wow crazy to think you made Morrison Springs famous😂...I work there in Ponce and love it there! It’s a hidden gem bc the town is so small. I just hate how cold that water is!
Haha I guess it is kinda cool? Yes, the water is certainly cold!
Some great shots Trip. Nice work brotha!
Thankya!
The SUP looks amazing. Any upcoming trips soon where we can see it get some real use? :)
It really is! One day I'll have everyone converted ;) Yep! I plan on taking on a 3-day trip this weekend! Should be interesting...
Great review and video ,what would you suggest under $400 for a starter inflatable paddleboard?
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Ummmm, I would check out this one here - irockersup.com/nautical-106-standup-paddle-board/?acc=182be0c5cdcd5072bb1864cdee4d3d6e
I tried one of these inflatable boards on my holiday I Sweden, it was very fun
Awesome Lasse! I love the inflatables....
where did u get the ascend sup ? looked online cant find them ur link takes you to a different brand
That one is Leader Accessories - I'd highly suggest a Blackfin though. Check out this video of mine where I compare and go over inflatables ruclips.net/video/IhNBGxzMoVM/видео.html&lc=UgyGXPI9hpnZEnr2jiF4AaABAg
awesome !!! I was looking for inflatable paddleboard these days.. where i live in is james river pretty much rocky river in VA.!
Hey cool! I think a ISUP would treat you well there.
Bought myself the blackfin xl model and it is awesome and a half, got it during a black Friday sale and it came with everything
Oh sweet! Glad you got yourself a fabulous board and a good deal at the same time. Enjoy that sucker!
Trip Smith
Thanks man. That helps me with my decision.
Nick Jones You're welcome!
Thankya! Glad you enjoyed it! Hey whatever gets you on the water!
Did you ever make a follow up video on this?? You said you would be back lol. Went out today for the first time on my sup. Shaky but had a blast!!!
A bunch of them ;) ruclips.net/p/PL-fvZ7RpVpmkcx9rSHYXSjs3RALcIfKrB
Trip, I was thinking about this bad boy right here!
ruclips.net/video/4WNFJ7-zjjA/видео.html
Probably you do know by know that you can use your pump for deflating board. Much easier for packing in backpack.
Yes, that works really well ;)
Nice video trip. If you can't do a overnight we still love any content you can put out. GET OUT THERE!
Thanks boss! I really appreciate that comment as sometimes it's tough to do a lot of overnights. Headed out for a three nighter tomorrow though! Should be a good one!
11’ board is good for beginners?
Yea sure. Great size, but I usually suggest around 12'
Which gopro stick/pole are you using for underwater?
The exact one I have isn't available any longer but this one is identical I think - amzn.to/2LPcbR3
I used mine yesterday for first time but only had 5 psi, no wonder I couldn't stay on the thing
Yea..... You need lots more lol
Thanks for being honest about how these boards inflate. Now I know I will buy an electric pump when I buy a SUP.
There ya go! You're welcome!
Love the video! Now, how does it handle under load? Say 3-5 day river trip? With and without ice chest?
Yep! Wow, mine was back in 2006 or so I think.... Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey brother, just got an Isle inflatable and have been hitting King's Landing at Wekiwa in Apopka, Fl. Trying to start a group. Any ideas?
Nice! Facebook.... and create something unique and different that will make people want to be part of the group. Geocaching? Trash cleanup? Wildlife touring? Racing? Moonlight paddles? Bring something different to the table ;)
great, I hope you upload more videos with the paddle board, a greeting from Spain
Thanks Jesus! I hope I do too and thanks for the input!!!!
Awesome, thank you very much. I’ll check into that.
