Wish I knew you were headed to St. Augustine, SO many places to pull up on the boat. North to South Caps on the Water Aunt Kates Kingfish Grill (Comanche Cove) Beaches Vilano Conch House (personal favorite & you were moored up a few hundred yards away) City Marina (paid) Asado Life St. Augustine Fish Camp
That’s my marina where you refueled, and the stretch of water from there to St Aug is my local water sport playground. A few miles south of that marina is Nocatee Landing, it has some sandy areas to pull up a boat, a bathroom and some picnic tables. It’s a convenient place to hang out at. A few miles north of St Augustine on the east of the ICW is Guana River park. It also has some beautiful sandy beaches and picnic tables. And then as you go under the bridge into St Augustine there is a public dock and pier that’s a with an easy walk to some restaurants and a Publix. I think it is a free dock. That’s a great little loop you did, I definitely want to do it sometime.
We own a C Dory 23 venture. Love watching your adventures. Trip. Have you ever gone up to Montgomery on the Alabama river? And is it possible to do in a C Dory. I know there are quite a few locks. And the river gets low doing the peak of summer.
Your channel is inspiring.. you frequent areas I feel I belong in bc my parents are Alabama/ N Florida natives that moved to Virginia early in my life.. there are so many water ways here you would enjoy just as well..

Hey Tripp, great trip. Lol You went flying right past my marina in Palm Coast. I tend to go to the Matanzas Inlet at Ft Matanzas. It gets busy on the weekends. I'm trying to use the argo app but it isn't good. It's SLOW and not user friendly if you're used to traditional navigation systems. First annoyance to me is no selection between track up and North up map orientation. That's a deal breaker for me. Navionics has an issue that you can select the option but it won't stay in track up. So I don't us that app either. I guess for me it's expensive stand alone units like Garmin. Enjoy
Thanks!!!! I had a little trouble with argo using it to actively navigate but for routes, I had no issues. They all seem to have their issues don't they? I guess I'm just trying them and one day someone will get it right. Although Argo is actively working to improve things, maybe they will!

Tenacious would be my description. lol He sends me email help. lol He did show me how to do the track up verses north up feature. But still for me, Argo is trying to do to many things and I'm a simple person that needs easy intuitive features. lol I don't even try to set up routes. Its a good back up to my Garmin but that thing is to smart for me too! I need a simple dumb version. lol Thanks for the recommend. Oh and Ft Matanzas Inlet this weekend was full! Probably 300+ boats and people everywhere.

I did the Ellie Rays launch trip up the Santa Fe to To Rum Island past blue springs and Ginnie and spent sometime in the inchentucnee until I got into the park. Unfortunately that is a no motors zone and I got skunked on the part of the trip since I was planning on diving those springs. I called the park and they said no trolling motors either. Now I know. 4 days 3 nights in the Gheenoe. Get back out there so I can keep copy catting your trips. Saves me the planning phase.
Great trip! I live in Orlando and am thinking about doing this in reverse. Question, I have a center console KW 21 ft boat. Sleeping on the boat in an open cockpit, I'll wonder if bugs/mosquitos will be a major issue. Do you have any insight? Many thanks.

St. Augustine is unique in that it was originally a Spanish Land grant city so the city owns the river bottom and can force people to pay for anchoring in the city. They make you pay for the use of their morning balls. You can go south of the 312 bridge and anchor for free. You can also tie up to the municipal dock and pay to spend the night. Comanche Cove and The Conch House also has dockage.
Sunsets are better with clouds. Not thick dark clouds, but partly cloudy normal cloud cover. When you get the different colors hitting of the clouds covering the whole sky
Well... Carbs are necessary.... So I consume low to no carbs generally and I have tons of energy. Carbs being the primary source of energy for the body was just some bologna that was spread years ago under ummmm, false information. I could go on and on but will hold my tongue. Would be happy to share more though!
It's to encourage nasal breathing which has many benefits over mouth breathing. Sometimes at night my facial muscles can relax and I may start mouth breathing. I sleep much better now ;)

Unfortunately no..... It's not loopable on anything, no matter how skinny. My boat only drafts 8" so it doesn't get much skinnier 🤙🏼

It's basically just ground beef with a little tomato sauce, italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Ground beef made to taste yummyer....
You were close in Ponce Inlet but you you missed Disappearing Island which has crystal clear water

Great trip! I live in Orlando and am thinking about doing this in reverse. Question, I have a center console KW 21 ft boat. Sleeping on the boat in an open cockpit, I'll wonder if bugs/mosquitos will be a major issue. Do you have any insight? Many thanks.

St. Augustine is unique in that it was originally a Spanish Land grant city so the city owns the river bottom and can force people to pay for anchoring in the city. They make you pay for the use of their morning balls. You can go south of the 312 bridge and anchor for free. You can also tie up to the municipal dock and pay to spend the night. Comanche Cove and The Conch House also has dockage.

How are you able to have so much energy without any carbs???
Well... Carbs are necessary.... So I consume low to no carbs generally and I have tons of energy. Carbs being the primary source of energy for the body was just some bologna that was spread years ago under ummmm, false information. I could go on and on but will hold my tongue. Would be happy to share more though!

It's to encourage nasal breathing which has many benefits over mouth breathing. Sometimes at night my facial muscles can relax and I may start mouth breathing. I sleep much better now ;)
