- Here is a short video of me finding a really cool Civil War Spencer carbine from the American Civil War. It was on the river bottom, fully exposed and begging to be found.

I'm Native American and up on the Reservation my Dad's from in South Dakota, there's evidence of where the old US Cavalry set up camp. I've found bullets and such next to a tree where a soldier carved his name. Pretty cool if ya ask me.
Very cool Zypher.
That’s really cool!
How is life in South Dakota? Covid has me looking at other areas!
ZYPHERGHOST I've thumbed up all the comments please get back with us about the soldiers name
@Hello Mate and your not Australian
You are the first person to touch it since the last person dropped it there over 150 years ago. It is so cool to think what was happening when it was left. Great find.
Someone else couldve touched it
rex if they did they would have grabbed it and took it home with them.
@@butterfunger5081 not always the case.
@@rex02244 Difficult?
If I lived here I'd get a Blu2 dive unit and comb thru those rivers with some buddies...would be fascinating😅
Its crazy to know that at one point in history somebody else fighting in that war carried that gun, fired that gun, mabye even died with that gun, CRAZY!!

I was a soldiers in the army back in 1973-86.
It took me over ten years to get my head back on straight. Made no sense and all the negative waves really freaked my mind out.
@@lestermiller2717 thank you for your service
Wonderful relic you found Beau, those types of finds don't come everyday. I am sure you are enjoying the moment, and are over the moon. Well done on saving another bit of history.
imagine 200 years from now some kid finds an m4a1 in a creek lol
Haha lol
What if they found a gatling gun
you mean ak 47?
+Scooter HD that is the best comment I have ever seen I'm not kidding
+corp twinz hahahaha
Watching this one for the umpteenth time. This was one of the first videos where I had a mixed reaction. Wanted to throttle you for the teasing and had a grin on my face as your eyes told us you were pretty sure already it was something good. Thanks, Beau.
Like they say: "If only it could talk"
+Troy Cox Civil War Carbine "I saw lots of fish..."
+Vault Boy hey brother
I'm Jared Fogle....
lol
"I got carried by some yankee and then he dropped me into the creek"
From what little I know, this was one of the top of the line rifles of the civil war, who would of thrown it in a river 170 some odd years ago?
Your Smile says it all Beau, grinning from ear to ear you can tell how excited and elated you are. Super super find, All the best stay safe continued success.
It's cool to know that this stuff is still being found today
Thanks for sharing your finds for those of us that can't get out in the bush
Your videos are a real treat
Thank you
150 years cold and wet.... the Aquachigger saves another piece of Civil War history. You are somethin' man, lol, wow!
i have learned alot about metal detecting from you, sir. but i often find myself just watching your videos and enjoying just coming along on your adventures. its easy to see that you are a nice person, and that you truly enjoy the hunt, and its inspiring. thanks, and keep the vids coming.
WOW! What an awesome find!
You are the relic whisperer...lol
What a fantastic find...It makes my head spin when I see something like that, wild to think of a man holding that in the Civil War ..how it was lost, what were the circumstances , so many things we will never know about the person...And then to think that it is quite possable that you were the first person to touch it since the day it was lost.... In New England it is hard to find reclics from the revoloution....every thing has pretty much sucumbed to time...We find the odd button or coin that can't be read..What you have is a real touchestone to history....Thanks for bringing it back....
Great find Beau! Would you consider doing some videos on cleaning and protecting/preserving this gun? I would love to see what you do with it besides electrolysis.
I just love going on your water hunts with you...thanks for taking us along.....
Hi Aquachigger! Oh the stories it would tell! Great find! 👍🏻
What a find! It is amazing to think the last person to have touched that rifle was a Union Soldier and the circumstances in which it was lost...
Rendezvous Carbines were mainly used by Confederate soldiers.
Calvin Spencers were mainly used by the Union Cavalry, Confederates did use them but they were used only in limited number because the Confederates couldn’t produce ammunition for them
@@francoisdesaintpierre3881 correct my friend
@@francoisdesaintpierre3881 they also took them from dead union soldiers or union soldiers who had switched sides also had them
@@calvin3230 "carbines" were and always have been carried by CAVALRY. The Government produced over 106,000+ rifles and carbines for the Union in the war, the Confederates didn't produce them.
All you would find in UK rivers would be Netto shopping trollies and broken prams.
Yeah your probably right,I mean nobody probably ever dropped anything from the Palaeolithic onwards in the UK.........You dork.
Well in Germanys big Cities its the same... there is so much garbage in the water, that it totally buries the goodies... I mean common, when i go fishing in Hamburg almost every time I real in I have a plastic bag on my hook... i am not even kidding.... when you find things here they re most likely not lost, but thrown in on purpose, cause they re either garbage or useless.
Well, you're both wrong, actually. At least two medieval broadswords and I think more have been found in shallow creeks in the UK in recent years, one by a boy of around 12.
Super find Beau, I am a fan of ACW here in UK and love watching these recovery films.Keep up the good work.
Super find! Mega-cool&awesome! Congratulations, Want to see cleaned!
GL&HH!!!

Very very nice Beau. Really can't wait to see it cleaned up.
You are my hero! killer find. I cant wait to get back into detecting!
I am intrigued by that big eye-bar forging next to the carbine!
Looks like rolling-stock shackle from way long back Rail-road.
Greg, to me it looks like a breech plug wrench...I could be wrong though.
Me too!
Awesome! That is an incredibly cool find! Congrats! Good luck at the new spot!
That is Absolutely AWESOME Beau!!!! Congratulations!!!!
Great find mate, really great find....you stopped grinning yet LOL.

Amazing as usual. ..and congrats on another addition to your vast collection of history...gregg
This is awesome!! Well done Beau. All the best, Rich.
Man u have a lot of knowledge about arsenal... Even by having a casual look on a rotten piece u figure the make as well as the era to which it belonged...that's very remarkable!!! Hats off...
Beau your the greatest. When I was 12 I explored the woods alot and tended to find cool stuff there. I found a carbine rifle pretty similar to yours and treasured that thing forever. I also found a gear from a ww2 tank
Dude you are amazing! The stuff you find is too cool! Congrats on the Spencer! HH!
That is so COOL!! Couldn't have happened to a better person!! Thanks for the video!
Hi Beau, exellento find!!! well done...cheers,G:)
Nice! Looking forward to seeing what else you find in that area.
Ya see the 132 year old Winchester found under a tree vid? Very cool.
fred lybarger yeah I saw that wasn't laying upright against a tree? Did you see the antique road show where this guy had a old gun, older than the civil war? I remember right before they broke before commercial the appraiser said the first thing I can tell you about this gun is that it is military issue,. Then the first thing that comes out of his mouth with a big smile. He says this is the fourth one of these to surface, I almost dropped over, they're were only 13 of them ever made, they were a congressional issue firearm, meritoriously issued to 13 Virginia farm boys who stopped a division of red coats from crossing a bridge! Ha ha yeah! That's no shit, the value was estimated at 365,000 dollars 15 years ago! it had a revolving cap fire mechanism on it! Super Cool.
Eric Underwood you got a link to that video
dopeless hopefiend sorry I don't but I sure could better myself by becoming a dopeless hopefiend I. was almost there, let my guard down and got off of that bus of hope now I'm back in the damn gutter. hopefully I won't miss the next bus that comes along takes effort
I don't know the link , all's I can tell you is it was on the road show, best wishes and I mean that
@@ericunderwood6728 do you have a link to that video? Wanna check it out.
Great find Beau,..I'm gonna look forward to seeing it after you get it cleaned up. You are gonna have one Hell of a wrap-up Best of 2014 video this year!!
Very cool, Beau. Congratulations.
Man o man...that is probably the coolest thing a person can find, besides a hoard of gold. I know your happy as can be. Great find! :)
Love to see a video of you restoring it. To find so many weapons in streams, I wonder if they were discarded captured weapons.
I bet Garret Loves you! You make them look good! Awsome find man!
OMG! Unbelievable! You are THE MAN! I'd be beside myself if I ever found something like that....what a story it could tell you if it talked! Maybe get it xrayed and see if the magazine tube is loaded! I also see you mention Nugget in answer to a comment.......he seems like such a nice young man and I keep hoping he'll find something totally cool like that Spencer...although he did find a bunch of more modern machinegun parts recently! Congratulations on your find....you work for it!
Congrats Beau!! What an excellent find.
Awesome find Beau!!! Congrats!
I see slash is still hanging around showing us all his ignorance once again! That's a great find Beau, love it.
This dude is so cool. Seems like a really happy person and his videos are interesting.
Damn dude! You just got me jealous! Conggrats on this great find!
That is absolutely the coolest thing I've ever seen someone find! I collect firearms and I have two civil war era guns. That Spencer was very sought after due to the fact it was a repeater. GREAT FIND!! Good luck and happy Hunting! I hope you find a Henry Repeater or maybe an old Colt or Winchester!
I've been watching civil war documentary and those lever carbines were privately purchased by soldiers at around $60. That was alot of gold if they were union dollars
I love history and I find this stuff the most fascinating thing ever. So cool how someone held that 150 years ago
man thats one of the coolest things ive seen you find beau good job man
Your adventures are awesome to watch.
Paved would be cool! All that time and it still has the wood, unbelievable find B!
WOW.....great find!!! Good for you!

Amazing relic Beau! Congratulations
Awesome Beau! Congrats!!
That is a very Cool find Beau....great build up and camera work on the vid mate :)
A school close to me is on a civil war battle site. (By close, I mean when you are driving in to the school, you are less than 50 feet away from the battle site.) A TV show actually filmed there, and they were metal detecting, and found a cannon ball where an artillery piece was set up. You can clearly see the mounds that the Union and Confederate soldiers built. They found bullets, a bayonet, and even a shotgun shell! They didn't go metal detecting at a few other artillery spots, though. The coolest thing about this site is that the only signs of recent activity is an old barbed wire fence, so it's pretty untouched. I plan on metal detecting where the other guys didn't very soon. I'll make sure to upload some footage of the metal detecting. Anyway, nice find!
Great video presentation...looks like some pro TV video !
Very nice!! Congratulations.
That gun could have had multiple owners over the years but it is cool to think about the soldier to whom it was issued and the circumstances that put it under water. Thanks for sharing.
Really enjoyed you finding that gun , awesome find!
congrats thanks for sharing your finds with us.
WOW I live on the West Coast--OREGON so we dont get Civil War things. You are very lucky.Today I found at the goodwill a Micronta 4001 and the other day I found a 4003.They are shity Detectors but for 10 $ its cool to take and use in the water and not worry about breaking them.I like watching the big dogs like you and it gets me ready so when I take my Good Detector out I know what im doing.THANK YOU for all the cool Vids.
