I breed my own rats too and man do I love these kind of stores 😅 there’s a store called peavy mart near me and I can get supplies for dirt cheap 9$ for a huge brick of kiln dried pine shaving and 10$ for a huge bag of hay and I will do two layers of bedding thin layer of hay followed by another layer of pine and my rats love it. And for food I use a cheap dog food 50lb for 20$ and I’ll also give them a lot of treats seeds and pasta also bread.

I'm starting to breed rats... and of course have extras and would like to sell them to cover costs. How much do you sell yours for. Pinkies, fuzzy, pups, weaned etc. Just subscribed!
@@kyledutton7796 got a place in dallas tx thats about the same. Trying to breed my own got everything set up for it just having trouble finding adults to breed.
wow man that hog food is way more inexpensive than 6f...I have a tractor supply near me as well. Looks like I am switching. I use the same cleaner as well. Thank you bro for saving me some money!!!!! I have local kiln dried pine for $4.50 a block so that isn't to bad
What carbon filter and inline fan is that? How do you have it set up to draw the smell out threw filter first that out fan. Or threw fan first then out carbon filter?
I have both. The one I have on my window is just blowing out. I also have one just sucking through the filter. I put an Amazon link below.👋😀 amzn.to/2wiBtjL

Dog food and Rodent block are the only stuff I found that won't fall through. I have a friend I talk to on a reptile forum regularly. He has been using Doggie Bag dog food for 2 years now. I didn't ask Tractor Supply about kent, but I did ask the Co-op here in town. I will give them a call. Kent seems to be a midwestern brand. They did tell me no on the Mazuri when I asked before.
I only buy my Mazuri Rat & Mouse from Tractor Supply for my ASF rats (25lbs) I have to go to are local Co-op for Mazuri 6F. I buy that for my ASF rats for the high protein.
I heard about doggy bag as well, it’s really that bad smell wise? I was hoping to be able to try it due to my lack of 6f availability. But noted that it’s not a good idea
@@MrBiga0787 I didn't see any health changes, but they ate twice as much any they defecated way more and it made the tubs stink faster. Thx for vid. I have 14 snakes. Just looking to feed
Really I also seen, that you can use the doggy bag dog food from Tractor Supply. I looked at the nutritional value, it is fairly close.
How it work ? I’m scared to switch my rats on it
