    What about health insurance? Why is that not considered here in monthly expenses?

    • @durdamscatalogue
      @durdamscatalogue  Месяц назад +1

      @kartikbali5098 Because that's automatically deducted from your salary every month and you don't need to worry about it.

    Hi, for a TV-L E13, 65% contract in Halle, how much should I expect as my monthly salary? Thanks in advance

    My gross salary per month will be 2722 euros, so how much net salary after tax should I expect in TVL-E 13 - 65% category?
    I will be staying in Dusseldorf city.

      Approximately 1600 to 1800 euros based on taxes and insurances.

    Is every phd position with working contract?

    • @durdamscatalogue
      @durdamscatalogue  2 года назад +2

      Not every PhD comes with a working contract. Most of the times funding comes from some Research project grant. Working contract is a situation when you work in a non-academic institution and that institution has collaboration with a university, then you can register in the university as a phd student.

    Can a PhD student work part time for more savings in Germany or in other Europe countries, so as to support their family in India

    • @durdamscatalogue
      @durdamscatalogue  9 месяцев назад

      As long as you don't work in a competing industry, it would be okay. You also need to take permission from your PhD. supervisor. Bit honestly, there is not much time left after the Phd. work.

    I get a 65% contract, but the net income after tax and healthcare insurance is 1360 euros. 🙃

    • @durdamscatalogue
      @durdamscatalogue  2 года назад +2

      This is a little bit strange. For 65% contract 1360 euros as net income is low. You need to check what is your Gross salary and what deductions they are making to bring it to 1360.

    hi , for a phd contract of 75% of TVOD E-13 i Hamburg, how much should i expect to get as net salary if am single , thanks!

      Very interesting question.
      If you open the link below, you would see an approximate calculation of your salary, how much you will make with a 75% contract of TVöD E-13 payscale.
      About 1950 - 2150 range but you can explore the website more and it a depends on your insurances. But the range that I mentioned would be close.

    What about salary tax

    • @durdamscatalogue
      @durdamscatalogue  2 года назад +1

      The amount that I talk about is the net salary. This is what you get after deduction of all taxes.

    For PhD students which would be the best, by salary and savings, either DAAD scholarship or 65% TVOD E-13 pay scale salary ?

    • @durdamscatalogue
      @durdamscatalogue  Год назад

      65% TVöD E-13 is a salary pay scale which increases every year. There are 6 levels in the E-13 payscale. However, with a scholarship it pretty much stays the same amount with minor increments. The overall amount is also less in DAAD
