Things are coming together on my project . Yesterday my paint finally got here , I was getting ready to call Ebay and see what happened ? Today I got a impact driver from HF and used a monkey wrench to put pressure and the door hinge screws were no problem! I had more trouble getting the door stop pin out. I am going to sand blast the inside of the door on the bottom is where I see some rust . Then I will etch it and prime it with some Rustoleum self etching . I found the clips at Bus Depot and I going to order the rest of the stuff from CIP 1 . Last time I ordered the parts on Tue. and Fri. they got here ? I just hope I do not break any windows. I am replacing the brackets and the rubber that bolts to the regulator. Your Safari fits darn nice.! Good Video.!
I know they are more expensive but I like the Creative Engineering windows. Correct double-walled frame and the correct exterior profile to the frame like the factory windows that fits the rubber much better, preventing most (not all) leaks. Their frames are also made out of AL so they won't rust. creative-engineering.com/product/1955-67-splitscreen-front-safari-kit-primered/

Good choice of safari windows .Coming on very nice !!
How about getting a set of window hinges just to use as a hole drilling template or make a template out of wood?
OK, I was wondering why you were doing this before paint. Makes sense because you need to fit and weld those brackets.
Will that gap, and the way the rubber doesn’t match the curve of the windshield frame. Cause leaks, or allow water to seep in?
Nice. Can't wait for the other panel to come in so you can finish installing them both.
I realize Im quite off topic but does anyone know a good place to stream newly released series online ?

Do most Safari Window kits come with detailed instructions, for us first-timers?
I'd say he gave a pretty detailed instructions
I prefer Mike's instructions and how he tells us WHY he is doing what he is doing...put this screw over some, and to look for the 1/8 all around.
