    I was denied because of my student loans reporting not being able to pay. It’s very hard even if you have a good credit many RUclipsrs have expressed this as well so it’s not just me. I applied some time later on and I was approved for 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁$200😂 Yep, Apple just gave me $200 but I was super appreciative, because I’ve been working super hard on my credit. Two years in and now Apple increased my account to $550 and that’s an improvement. 😊

    I’ve had Apple Card since the beginning. Recently I tried a travel credit card but I felt that the time and energy I spent trying to min-max my points cost more than the simplicity of just receiving cash back from the Apple Card so I switched back to Apple Card and I’m very content.

      Same. What’s funny is if you get an Apple Card number swiped, even after it’s been changed, you still get to see all the places they attempt to use it. Not really sure who’s dumb enough to use a stolen card for DoorDash lol but apparently that’s a thing.

    Definitely makes sense for those Apple purchases! I’m right there with you for using credit cards to earn points and miles for travel - and the Apple Card certainly plays a role for the right person that values simplicity and cash back.
    Thanks for the shoutout in the description!

    Apple Card has been a solid secondary card for me for places that don’t take AMEX. Unfortunately, the point bonuses with AMEX are far better than Apple Card preventing it from being my primary card. The 0% fee really makes it a no brainer for a secondary card, assuming you automatically pay it off each month.

    The high yield savings account is why I moved to the Apple Card. Have the daily cash payment go directly into savings. A KISS solution for this old man.
    Like most normals I do not travel on a regular basis so this is the main card I use. 🐬

    🐬. I just got it a few days ago. The credit limit I received is at least 20% below all of my other cards. Do they automatically raise the limit with use? I don’t like for my credit utilization to get above 20%, below 10% preferably. Does the 3% back on Apple products only occur if you purchase through Apple (I assume so)? You can often get Apple products much cheaper through retailers like Costco, Best Buy, and Amazon. Also, if you split the Apple purchase into payments, do you still get 3% cash back or do you have to choose one or the other? Thanks for the timely video! Also, interested in the link for the video on Apple Wallet. I use it all the time but there may be some tricks I am missing.

      I’ve had my Apple Card since 2020. From my experience Goldman Sachs is very conservative when issuing credit limits. My Apple Card has the lowest credit limit out of all my other cards currently at $6750. and this is coming from someone who has an average of 790 credit score across the banking apps that show me my credit scores and credit cards with an average credit limit of $10,000. I started out with $2000 as my credit limit and about two years into it I started asking for credit limit increases. Each time I was the one that reached out. You only get 3% cash back when you buy Apple products at the Apple Store or on their website. Other merchants like Costco and Best Buy don’t count. When you finance an apple product you buy at Apple you get 3% cashback regardless if you finance or pay upfront. Hope this helps.

  • @shapeofsoup
    @shapeofsoup 2 месяца назад +1

    A couple of corrections. I love my Apple Card though, to be clear.
    One, 2% cash back isn’t rare for zero fee cards. There are several that offer 2% or better, including Citi Double Cash, various Chase cards, Wells Fargo Active Cash, Amex Blue Cash, and many others. That said, what these cards don’t have on the Apple Card is that Daily Cash or the integrated UI, which are both pretty nice.
    Two, just a heads up on the 0% finance options for large Apple Card purchases: it’s either that OR the 3% cash back. So choose wisely.

    Is the credit card what triggers ability to have the Apple Savings account? Bc I think ppl are missing that the savings acct is FDIC insured (in the USA) AND the interest rate is between 4.4% to 5%, which is better than terms of most other banks (for small deposit balances) and none of the restrictions of a CD. And your daily spending cash back can auto deposit into the savings account. I’ve earned a fair amount of money in that savings account. 🐬

    I’ve had my Apple Card since 2020. I don’t use it much other than for financing stuff at Apple and for places that give you 3% cashback, currently Uber, Uber eats and T-Mobile is where I use my Apple Card. Having the titanium card is great but I never use it since if you use your card physically you only get one percent versus 2% if you use the Wallet app. Definitely a good card to help you learn the ropes of the credit world but there are far better cards You can get, especially if it’s your first credit card. Also only when you finance an iPhone do you get 24 months financing. Not sure why they don’t offer 24 month financing on their computers since they can get more expensive than iPhones real quick.

    What if I don’t use my credit card much? Could it negatively impact me?
    I have two credit cards, but I mostly use one. However, I’m interested in the 2% cash back on the other card. I would ideally want to move to a card that gathers mileages. Any suggestions?

    • @Mr.VladCruz
      @Mr.VladCruz 2 месяца назад

      @@CasperMile not using your credit card does not negatively affect your credit score. Having over 30% of your limit used does. What I would recommend if you have this card is have one or two revolving charges per month. For example, if you’re subscribed to Apple One, use the Apple Card as your credit card for that.

    Great no fee card for people deeply integrated into the Apple eco system. Family sharing is the best perk in my opinion and the simplicity of the HYSA built right in…. No intro offer so it’s not seen as a flashy pick by most content creators, but under rated for the right consumer

    My Apple Card is my least used card. Wish I never got it really. I get much more cash back using my other credit cards. I didn’t even use it to buy my last three Apple products, because at Amazon I got 5%, 6%, and 7% cash back on those purchases. In addition, the products themselves were a few hundred dollars less than at the Apple Store. Only thing the Apple Card is really good for is paying for built-to-order Macs that are only available at the online Apple Store, over time, that’s it.

    I have an Apple card for a couple years now and rarely use it. I got mainly for the discount on new Apple products, but has only been useful for small accessories. For some reason the Apple card set my limit below what I usually spend when buying an Apple computer. What's stupid the bank card I pay my Apple card with I then use to buy the computer a minute later it goes through instantly. I tried to get Apple card to increase my limit and end up with some AI chat thing that what a lot of it said made no sense like it really didn't understand bands and credit reporting companies. I kept trying talk to an actual human being and never could. So Apple card for me is pretty useless and then trying to talk to Apple about it was waste of time dealing with a AI chat bot not a human.

    My limit isn’t very much because when I got it, I was in huge debt so I was glad I was able to get it but I hate that my limit is low. It’s only $7K. It must have gone up after I because debt free at some point. I thought it was lower. Maybe around $4k or lower because I thought I couldn’t max out a MacBook Pro and use the card. I do use the HYSA but I wish it was more than 4.40%.
