    If you started new application and the trick doesn't work, I have a SOLUTION
    Clear your browser cookie and cache and preferably try a different browser and the first time, the trick described in the video works flawlessly in my experience!

    Likely what happens is the new application start, creates a cookie and from then on, this stupid website just forgets the existing receipt and give you hell

    Thanks for the video it helped me. So guys if you are trying to claim the receipt using payment confirmation number and payment date and it does not show payment credited, as shown in this video just select any payment method and submit. On next page it shows credit.

      This video and your response @HasmukhDesai-sl3zg saved immense potential frustration. We never received the Payment Receipt. We had paid the MRV ( via credit card ) but could not get slots in the local VAC. Hence had to change the VAC for which we had to create a new DS160 and in USAVisaScheduling close the current application and start a new application. The portal had a "Claim Receipt" button on the following screen that asked for the receipt number and date to be input - we did not have the receipt number. Based on your advice, proceeded with Payment Options and just selected Debit/Credit option, and voila the next screen showed the receipt number. Hopefully, this info will save others in the community from potential days / weeks of wait, no response and/or endless frustration.

      @@rajnishxkapur Hello, Even I'm kind of in the same situation but i do have the receipt no, so if I close & start a new application as I need to update my ds-160.Are you sure i will be able to claim the receipt (This is for B1/B2 Visa)?

      @@curious-me379 if you have the receipt number then you can input that in the work flow when asked for. If you have not taken the appointment I think you can transfer the paid MRV to the new DS160 and appointment. It does not matter if it is a B1 B2 visa

    Thank you very much, dude! I had the same problem and made a payment, but it was not reflected in my login portal. I created a service request, but no luck. I just went on RUclips and saw your video, which was really useful, and now the money is reflected in my portal.

    Dude you are Savior. I was in tension from last one week and was clear that i will have to pay the fees again (my case USD 370 for my wife and daughter). Just wanted to tell that i have closed the application and start new application. I was not getting reference no. (may be because I paid through Credit card.) but after selecting any payment option i was able to activate fee receipts and now scheduled the appointment. Thanks a ton

      @@pratapghogare6656 you dont need reference no., you can select any payment option and if you have paid it will reflect and you can schedule the appointment. we can have remote session if you need any help.

    Thank you for your help!! I closed my old application and opened a new one and your method still worked! The reference number wasn’t visible but I anyway went ahead clicking on any payment method and it populated my paid receipt. I was able to book my slot post that. Thank you!

    I have added an application but it had an error so I clicked on "Close and start new application" option.
    At the final stage, it was showing that I need to make the payment for the visa fees. However, I followed your video and my previous fees receipt details got populated automatically and the issue got resolved.

    For my minor son, I paid the fees in Dec 22 and got appointment for Aug 24. Can I claim my Receipt or do I have to pay again? Below is answer from support portal. Please guide.
    In response to your question, we would like to inform you that your MRV fee receipt is expired against which you have scheduled your appointments.
    Additionally, As we see that your appointments are already scheduled. We request you to kindly proceed ahead with your existing appointments.

    Thank you Mr Maruthi Reddy. A combination of your video and Saumya Suhagiya's video, I was able to get the payment receipt updated. We made our payment on August 8th, a week later the payment details was gone, now we got the payment receipt and the appointment showing up. Is there a way to get the drop box appointment? We are going for B2 renewal. Any information is really appreciated.

    Hi there, I closed and started a new application for a K1 visa but I paid the fees on the old application and talked with customer service to claim the fees & on the scheduled IVR appointment now but the fees are not reflected on the dashboard & also slots are not available either for Mumbai. does this mean, we are good with the fees part and when slots are available then it's good to go to pick a date?

    I had applied for tourist visa in August 2022. The payment was made in August 2022 and I had an appointment date confirmed for 28th October 2024. However, when I login to the new portal now to reschedule the interview, it shows that payment is pending. There is no response from the customer care.

    Hi there , i applied from Melbourne to usa for B1/B2 visa . what happens if i select B1/B2 visa type in DS-160 form and Selected B2 visa type while paying fee in application portal while scheduling the appointment. Does that gona be any effect in my visa and also i am not able to book appointment it does not take me to calendar no matter what . I am really stressed.     Sir, visa fees paid in previous portal,but appointment not scheduled.But after logging in new portal,only close and start new application was visible.Clicked on that, profile info got filled.Then clicked on payment option- EFT VFS.The fee got claimed but amount is wrong, 380 $ instead of 200$.It is a single applicant.Was able to click on Schedule to see slots.
    If the fee amount is wrong will it matter?Please advise.

      As long as ur name is visible and appointment dates are visible ..ignore the fee amounts

    i can see the appointments booked but it says a notification as "One or more receipts have expired. If you cancel this appointment, you will not be able to schedule a new appointment until your application is paid in full" but i paid the fee in August 2023 only so it should be valid till Aug 2024 but why it is telling this? how to resolve this? what to do to cancel the appointments so that i could close the application and start fresh application, please guide & help.

    Once we have attended VAC & VI and If Visa is Rejected... In the new Portal I see that for F1 Fee payment is showing in the Dashboard . Why ?
    it will be still active after Visa Rejection also.... I hope For the next Appointment we need to Pay the Visa Fee correct ? Then Why in the new CGI Portal it is showing like that and in the side left panel it is showing the Appointment confirmation But No Date is Mentioned.... Can you let me know How to fix it....     I already had my ofc and consular appointment scheduled in May 2024. I was trying to add my dependent in my application and for this i clicked on close application and start new application. And while at it I got an email that my existing appointment has been cancelled
    Now my appointment is lost, my money is lost, their support team is not helping as they are saying that if you click on close application then your entire application gets closed, even your appointment.
    What should I do now?? I didn't cancelled it, i got no msg saying it will get cancelled. Plz help. I am helpless

    I have a more complex issue, i am able to see the reciept number but it results in an error and it results in attempt exceeded as well. In order to get the same option again, i need to close the application and redo it. The only rdifference with profile of an old portal and new portal is a difference in my username. Not sure what to do next.

    Sir, I have been refused earlier in July 2023 when fee amount was $160. However, i booked the date for the December 2023 again and I got the visa confirmation receipt without paying the fee amount of $185. And it is showing the the old amount receipt of $160 and appointment confirmation of both OFC and interview in December. What should I do now and will that affect me in the future?
    As I want to pay the genuine fee amount but portal doesn't let me paying the amount.

    After paying the visa fee, I closed the existing application and submitted a new application in the CGI portal. The visa fee payment will be reflected. I initially panicked when it showed a new payment reference, but when you hit submit, the payment reference number will change to the old payment reference. So, no worries, you can close the application and start a new one

    After the Visa fee activated, I could two options - Schedule appointment & “close and start new app” ….
    I have some errors in my ds160 and I need to update the da160 reference before I book the appointment.…
    Would it be possible at this step? Or should I “cancel and start new app” then will it provide me an option to give new ds160 and will the fee be activated here ?

    Hello sir, I created profile in the new portal for my parents b2 visa renewal. I paid fees and claimed receipt of payment and it took me to schedule appointment page. However I did not see any Dropbox or interview waiver confirmation for them as I think they are eligible for Dropbox. I might have answered one of the interview waiver question incorrectly. I need to correct the answer to see if that will give them interview waiver confirmation. Will closing application and starting new one cause any issues? Will my fee payment transfer over?

      U can go to close and start application and answer the questions correctly ..fees will reflect back

Someone told me that if we close and restart the application more than 3 times, the profile will be locked. I already closed and restarted the application 3 times in the past as i had other issues with adding dependents etc. Do you know if there is an issue like this with profile locking up?

    Hi sir, i booked an appointment by using old CGI portal and the Mail ID which i have used for this is not working now so after login into new portal with new Email ID there are no details showed. so, how can i update new mail id already tried calling customer service but no one is responding.

    I was rejected for f-1 visa on dec 5, 2023 an i tried to start new application i am not able to pay the fees second time it showing confirm to get receipt but after submitting it is redirecting to slots page without paying fees. Pls help

    Sir I had made payment 2 days ago I received the payment receipt also on email
    But now their no option showing for schedule appointment only showing continue application and if I click on that then also the page that you have showed on this video is not appearing

    what if there i no reference number at all like how you got it?
    I paid visa fee in old portal, the new portal says two receipts are ready to claim but there is no reference number or receipt number. Now we do not even have old portal access, there seems to be no other way to claim the receipt number.

    Hi Thank for video, I am having booked appointment in old portal which is not been seen in new portal. i tried your method for claiming the fee receipt but on clicking continue application it goes to delivery option which i choose and update and it just comes to home page. I am not able to view the payment option page. Is there any solution for this? I written in feedback portal but have no answer from past one month.

    Hello, thanks for the video. In my case however, when I am selecting the 'Continue Application' option its going on loop and its showing the homepage. I had the appointment scheduled before the new cgi portal too, but I don't see any details in the new portal. Any suggestions?

    Have concern when signing up the new cgi portal but i have already have an old account and when i open it i accidentally click the start application.. and now when i log in i cant see the manage application? Any idea how to retrieve so my details will appear?

    I want to make a new payment. But my old payment is reflecting. I have emailed the customer service to cancel the old payment. But nothing seems to work. I have started new application but then also the old payment is popping back up. Can you help me here?

    Actually im having interview dates on 28,30 .. later i tried to reschedule my appointment at that time it was showing like 1 ofc and 2 consulates one is at chennai and another one at Delhi....later i tried to reschedule it was not rescheduled...one of the agent told to cancel appointment and the money i paid is to retrieve for new application if we mail to embassy vut they were not responding..... now im trying to full fee for my appointment but it showing error....what i have ro do now please help me out with this.....please it was very emergency 🙏

    My issue is little different than what is explained in the video, just writing comment here, if anyone has faced same issue like I am facing please let me know the solution if any. Its been more than 24 hours after paying the visa fee thru NEFT, still when I login into the portal, i don't see the scheduling option there, also when I click on continue application, it takes me to the specify document delivery page and after clicking on update, it takes me back to home page, so looks like I am stuck in a loop and I never see the payment option or scheduling option. Did anyone faced similar issue ??

    I have already paid fees in old portal but dint book a slot...now when iam opening portal iam seeing schedule appointment but not contiinue applicaation so does it mean my fee got updated,but below fee details fees is not shown..
    And whenever iam clicking schedule appointment directly consular post is shown and no slots available ...plz help me sir

    Firstly thanks a lot for this video, you are really god sent! helping others stuck on this notorious portal, however despite following your steps when i click on "Visa Application Home" it still shows "Continue Application" instead of "Schedule Appointment" as in your case, if i do continue application, i can reach and check the slots, select them, but there is no submit button to secure it, am kind of stuck hanging nowehere, any help from you or fellow applicants is highly highly appreciated!!!

    సార్ మా అత్తది చేశాను కానీ కొత్త గా అయ్యాక డిపేడెంట్ యాడ్ చేసే ప్రాసెస్ లో అది contuine వచ్చింది ..ఎమ్ చెయ్యాలో తెలియకపోతే ఒకరు క్యాన్సల్ చేసి మళ్ళీ ట్రెయి చెయ్ అంటే చేసాము..application..!! అంత వచ్చింది కానీ ఇప్పుడు బ్యాంక్ పేమెంట్ నెంబర్ కొడితే could not find receipte number ani వస్తుంది ఎమ్ చెయ్యాలో అర్థం కావట్లేదు దయచేసి ఏమైనా సలహా చెప్పారా సార్.. కాల్ సెంటర్ కి చేశా ఫలితం ఎమ్ లేదు...plz plz sir..

    I got the same problem, what ever you did same thing i did and submitted but at that no slots available. After some i opened again to see slots are available but the same problem has arrived but in a different way what ever i did in 1st to submit now the reference number also i can’t see. Can you help me from this.
