Great video. I've been using Snapseed for ages and I absolutely love it. The curve option, I always had trouble with so left it well alone. Thanks so much man, you explained that so well. Cheers 👌
Thank you very much. Curves in Snapseed, or Adobe Photoshop, is not an intuitive tool. This is not something that you are likely to figure out on your own without a little guidance. I am glad that you found this one helpful because once the interface makes sense Curves is so powerful!
This particular tutorial was truly appreciated! (But would love a spoken walk through of ALL of the individual tools!) Thanks a ton for your time in doing this for all of us novice
Thank you! These videos are excerpts from my complete Snapseed from Google training course at www.focusphotoschool.com/mobile-photo-editing-snapseed/ In the complete course, I cover each tool and feature in Snapseed one-by-one.
Thank you. Curves is a super powerful feature in Snapseed, Adobe Photoshop, etc but definitely not a tool that makes sense without a little guidance. I am glad to hear that this one makes sense for you now and using it will dramatically boost the quality of your mobile photography!
great video! I love how u use the greyscale bar to demonstrate the point. Genius!!! One question tho, since the curve does the same thing as some other tool (contrast, shadow, highlight), what advantage does it offer over the others? In another word, when should I use the S curve over the other tool?
Thank you for the kind words on this tutorial. You are absolutely right that Curves and some the other tools in Snapseed overlap. I think that the difference comes down to control. When you just want to make the whole image darker, or add more contrast everywhere, then one of the other sliders is a fine choice. When you need real precision though, when you want only a certain tonal range to change, or want to darken one set of tones more than another then Curves really shines.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely the clearest explanation and demonstration of the Curves. I now understand curves, but still a long waay to go to be adept. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!

Curves finally explained perfectly
Thank you very much. Curves is a complex tool in Snapseed from Google but it is so powerful once you understand the interface.
Another great lesson! Each one helps me improve my 360s.

Thank you for this tutorial. Now I understand the curve’s features. Before this, I tried messing with it but I don't understand how it works.
