Hi Dan I’m fggmarky sorry if I didn’t reply sooner but I was busy this week with school I had got on for a bit and didn’t see your message but I’m try to contact you to fix the problem
@@devilmayclarify666I don’t think sns would be considered a strong weapon imo also. It’s more of a fast and inf combo type weapon. The listed weapons in the comment here have a lot more dmg output. As for sns it has low(compared to the listed) dmg but fast movement speed
CB will forever be my main because my scatter focus brain really likes juggling all the mechanics simultaneously. Only problem is I like using all the mechanics, which is objectively worse than building for and using Savage Axe or SAED spam only.
NGL I’ve slept on S&S forever, until I forced myself to play it for the last 3 weeks. It’s a brilliant weapon. And I’ve changed my tune about it for sure
Played SnS for 200+ hrs and It is my main weapon now. Took me way to long to use the slinger burst into perfect rush combo. Little clunky to use on keyboard but super worth it. Extremely underrated weapon IMO.
Greatsword will always be the strongest weapon, for it was made with the intention of not hitting the monster all the time. So if a Hunter can hit a Monster all the time with GS, it becomes overpowered. That is, if not counting oversights like HBG though.
As I always tell my hunting partner, hammer's range is so short that I'm only really effective if I'm inside the monster's mouth. So, really, I'm a dentist. Paging Doctor Bonk, please report for emergency tooth removal.
Bow is obscenely strong that is true, but it isn't the strongest weapon. If we are talking about kill times and DPS then the actual objective strongest weapon in the game is Heavy Bowgun. It's not just the strongest by a little bit either, it's not even close. That being said I don't like using the bowguns. I am more of a melee player and I much prefer bow. But yeah bow is not objectively the strongest weapon in the game. Anybody that knows anything about MHW solo speedruns knows HBG is uncontested. Luckily for us though this game isn't about just picking the strongest dps weapon. Hunting Horn is love, Hunting Horn is life.
@@viterio5410 Yeah but using it wrong just means using it without rocksteady lmao. I love swaxe but not giving it any defensive options in mhw:I killed the weapon for me early dlc.
As a bow and sns main for sure these weapons are slept on. Ok well maybe not bow I genuinely think it’s the hardest weapon to use after trying all of them out. But they’re definitely way more powerful than people give them credit
Not including either of the bowguns is insane. Really the list ought to have all three gunner weps due to how obscenely overtuned specific guns and ammo types are.
I understand dual blades may not be the strongest weapon in the game but it's the most consistent weapon in the game with the ability to constantly deal damage while being quick on your feet and allowing you to reposition yourself very quickly and with only a minor dash juice addiction you can spin to win and beyblade monsters to death
@@LightItUpDan DBs are also really good at cutting tails and there is the additional bonus of absolutely annihilating huge monsters like kulve, Safi'jiva, xeno'jiva and some other monsters to lesser extent with the LONG beyblade spin destroying their entire spine I've once managed to break safis wings by just beyblading over it because I can't reach the wings otherwise
As someone who has not used a different weapon than GS for longer than an hour whos looking for a new weapon to use, what would you recommend? (No heavy bowgun and suchatron)
As a Hunting Horn, main, one of the coolest animations to me is seeing Hammer players using the clutch claw and then spin to win to the monster's face.
@silentnature95 After you do the level 3 attack with the Hammer (not the one where you spin horizontally), hit L2 to initiate the clutch claw, and you will spin up to the monster's face.
Sns is a very good weapon and it become my main weapon after i was bored of CB. How can i prefer SnS over CB ? Try it yourself, if you like fast, jack of all trade but very strong weapon able to do as much as others top DPS weapons, you will understand why we love SnS !
there are "strong weapons" and then there are the strongest two DPS dealing weapons. they are spread HBG and bow. there's a reason why most of the speed runners use those two.
Me watching showcases of the 14 weapons before buying the iceborne 😂😂.. and I chose insect glaive and it didn't disappoint, I really felt it's for me..
It's all about letting average player to experience game fully without wasting 600+ hours learning the weapon and monsters I mean don't ever say words like "positioning" and "timing" near average player. They "won't get your words, funny man"
Longsword is just overpowered You can kill any monster without any single dodge when you master timings and monster attacks Not mentioning it is just a criminal Yes i agree it is hard to master but its the most fun weapon to use according to me ❤
So I’m one the few that uses all 14 weapons an I mean all i think they all are great an shine in different areas an are great against different monsters but down Side is the time spent understanding all 14
I'm personally not a fan of tier list and "strongest weapon" type stuff for something like monster hunter. Everyone uses everything because that playstyle suits that person. IMO there is no best weapon. Just whatever is best to you
Change my mind: Switch Axe is really not that powerful on it's own and needs ZSD spam to be cool. When monster doesn't allow spam (alatreon) - weapon is lower than ever
I am a noob (105 h in world) but I might as well try: ZSD is cool. However, I feel like the coolest thing of SA isn't that, if the coolest thing was the explosion, one would play Gunlance. To me, the cool thing of the switch axe is the possibility of fairly constant offense through fade slash, transforming slash axe to sword forward and transforming slash sword to axe backwards. This weapon is meant to be attacking the monster as much as possible, as indicated by the i frames on those moves and the timed amped switch axe gauge, but unless you are hunting a great jagras, you will need to be smart about it, constantly morphing from axe to sword, both to regain gauge and for the inherent differences and circumstances in which they are useful. The axe on its own is boring. The sword on its own is boring. But finding the right way to mix both while keeping good dps and choosing the best moment to ZSD? I consider that very entertaining and cool. Then again, my two grains of salt. Of course, all weapons must look for the right openings, but the switch axe feels a bit more diverse about it, or at least that is how I feel, and gives you quite good options to retreat or advance as needed. If it makes any sense, to me the switch axe is a bit of a fencer? Always in one lane, more often than not advancing or retreating. A more advanced player might be able to put it into better words, but that is how it feels to me
@@georgelongcoal1117 You worded it quite nicely I think! I'm also not a pro by any means, but I agree. It also really comes down to playstyles and not all of them being 'meta'. I feel like with the power axe in Icebourne you can do a lot more than ZSD spam on any monster out there! Sure, some matchups will be more difficult, but almost every weapon has bad matchups for their own playstyles. It's just that Swaxe has a lot of intricate movements and requires quite some monster knowledge just like GS for example.
@@Side_quests_Simon honestly the biggest advantage sns has is the sheer amount of versatility. Positioning and maneuvering around the monster is so fluid, you can clutch onto the monster or mount the monster with built in moves, and it has way more combos than just perfect rush. Gameplay for me usually consists of making great use of the mobility of the weapon and its backstep and block to keep damage up even while enraged, and then wall banging, mounting, or tripping the monster as frequently as possible to get perfect rush combos on the parts I’m targeting.
@@nyalan8385 making great use of the “mobility of the weapon” should be the case with whatever weapon you pick, there are a few weapons that have blocking as an option, clutch clawing or mounting the monster is a feature in allot of other weapons as well, keeping damage up while enraged is what you should do with whatever weapon you play, same thing with wall banging. @@rougphantomMost HBG builds that can possibly exist are pretty bad, but just look up any meta build on youtube or reddit or anywhere else, in particular a shield spread HBG build, and you've unlocked MHW's equivalent of "just the story" difficulty.
