I am a homeowner in Germantown and although the taxes are higher, I pay them willingly because the school district is phenomenal, the police presence is comforting and my neighbors are awesome!

Germantown will pull over even in Memphis city limits. I’ve seen them as far as I-240 by Ridgeway on my way home

Love Germantown, but big con is rent, and house prices. If you can afford it then you will be happy.
