You can always feel many older Indian film songs carry a divine mystical aura.. Because the core tune melody used to be based on traditional Raag and singers of great calibre while portraying the feel of the lyrics also travel without distorting the nuances of Raag implied - bgm used to be enclosed with or wrap it with western classical orchestration touches along with Indian classical instruments like tabla, sarangi, shenoi and so on ....

Yes you are right. 😂the director told them both to just walk on roads and behave as naturally as they can as a couple in love enjoying the rain. But for both it was a traumatic experience as they were wet whole day while shooting this song. And I think mousumi Chatterjee caught cold fever too because of this🤭🤣

This reaction of song reminds me of its female version now (I totally forgot). I'm a fan of its Kishore Kumar version, where he sings a bit slowly when compared to Lata! Yes, it's possible if you go to a site and start impromptu shooting (before people starting to recognise the stars). Big B was weak as an actor while performing romantic scenes, which is palpable here! Probably, this is why he created the angry man image for himself.
In spite of his so called weakness in romance scenes he was still better than any actor..past or present..

Rainfall recorded in Bombay is among the highest in the world. Depending on your life situation, the 12 weeks of monsoon can at once be romantic and depressing.
The song video used has a slightly higher tempo than the original which is causing the pitch to go higher and the voices of the singers also are higher than actual version. I have noticed this problem in a lot of older Indian song videos on youtube which have been uploaded in recent years. The older uploads (which are mostly unofficial) usually have correct tempo.
