    Stravinsky really does great stuff with double reeds. Always loved the orchestration on this part of the firebird.

    Although Julien Hardy makes it look easy, it is much more difficult to play and get a good sound out of a French bassoon than a German bassoon. What a magnificent musician

    I'm certain they've timed it right and all, but,,, when it first started to play my immediate impression was that it was too fast. They're excellent, of course, but, I don't know, maybe it's me, but I always think that the absolute slowest speed with which this piece can legitimately be played is best because it adds dramatically to is mysterious and beguiling nature/effect. Oh wow, it's cut way to short, here, as well.

      @@snowm6472 Look at the score (but i doubt you can read music) , Mr. Stravinsky took the time to put a metronome mark....I loathe you tube experts, your opinion is meaningless.
