I want to add a 4 or 5tb 2.5in drive to my mini ITX build which has very limited space. I was hoping to see the dimensions of the Seagate drive. Thanks for the video.
hi, thank for the video! Do you think that p10 has drive with standard sata connector inside? Like that Seagate. I ve seen some external drives which have non sata interface just stright plate with usb 3.0.
Hello , sadly the P10 is like you described with no sata interface , just opened it up again as I have not seen anything like this . So Segate is the way to go if you need the drive inside , I was thinking trying to put this inside Xbox or Playstation , not sure if is enough space tough
@@constantech4342 "I was thinking of trying to put this in Xbox or PlayStation". I'm sure you've already tried it by now, but for anyone else reading this later, the Seagate drive wouldn't fit in a PS4, I believe the maximum height of a 2.5" SATA HDD for PS4 is 9.5mm. The 4TB & 5TB Seagate drives are 15mm tall. So 2TB would be the maximum capacity for a HDD in PS4, for more you'd need to go with an SSD. Cost-wise it would probably make more sense to go with a 1TB or 2TB SSD internally and use a larger external HDD like the Seagate or WD drives in this video. Best of both worlds as you get the speed benefits and can easily move games back & forth. Personally at the end of 2020 I swapped into PS4 a 1TB Crucial MX500 SSD and moved my existing 1TB HDD into a Orico USB 3.0 enclosure (now in use as 'extended storage' for games).
