I am always blown away by how huge your plugs are every time I see them! Also, do all of your wall plugs have on/off switches on them? That is very funny looking to me. Of course you probably think our North American plugs are so small and wonder where our plug switches are... hint, look in the electrical panel...
Hah, yes I forget how big ours are compared to the rest of the world. Most of Europe's are smaller too, the UK just likes to overcomplicate it I think 😆. Yes all of ours have on/off switches too (and some will have separate 'fused switch units', for example if it's a group of kitchen sockets). Ah that makes sense re moving it to the electrical panel, there's definitely some pros and cons to the UK approach 😬
That is useful... and I need to download/check out the APC software from the sound of it 🙈 (Well my UPS is only a year old so I haven't worried about this too much, but I keep meaning to check out the software and putting it off)
i think computer power supplies well the expensive ones do come with surge protection and my pc is already connected to my home ups so i guess im good.
Good point, some more expensive hardware will have a certain level of surge protection - although tbh I don't know how good this is compared to a surge strip, for example 🤔 And that's great about a home UPS, yes that'll help for sure. I'd love to get a home UPS, they sound really useful.

those strips do not hve surge prtection.
Which, the APC UPS one or the others I shown? Both have some level of surge rating.
