they royally fucked them up the main theme is muffled and weak and the drums are too loud as a result overshadowing the theme itself so describing them as unrelenting is accurate, it's unrelenting garbage

When they can turn one of my least favorite gym leader music into something I enjoy, it's a sign that they do something right. Also, it's unbelievable how the gym leaders got so much personality just because they got new throwing, commanding, and losing animations for them. Gardenia is irresistible for me now.

Overall this track surpasses the original but the only complaint I have about it is the sheer lack of prominent bass it has. The original has such a catchy bassline but in this version the bass is virtually non-existent. Still a wonderful improvement on the original track though
The dppt gym leader battle theme is one of my favourite themes of all time and i was so scared that with this remake they'd butcher it. But it pleasantly surprised me actually- it's still as intense as i can remember!

I think this is definitely a better version or remake of this theme than the original. The original felt pain but with this one it feels like there’s more to it. More sounds, instruments, it’s louder in it feels exciting.
To me Sinnoh was the last region to have its gym theme feel like a moment of truth. Even for the earlier gyms. Also, 2:30 gonna tell my kids this was Naruto

This is cool! I like the music But the thing about Diamond and Pearl is that I feel like too many gym leaders are too easy. Only Maylene was hard and I had to battle her around 13 times, but except for Gardenia (I battled her 2 times) all the other gym leaders I only battled once which was not so fun and not really a challenge :( Please don't take this offensively and I'm really not trying to be mean because I really like this game. Maybe the battles were easy because my Pokemon were around 3-7, mostly 5 levels higher than the gym leader's Pokemon. I fought every leader once, they all took out a couple of my mons but I always did them first try, I think they were well done, just easy.

They're kids games after all.

@@nothingmuch02784 It didn’t at all lol. I mean they are kids games they sell really well with a younger audience and they’re made around that. Doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them though, they are good games, just not super tough to beat.

My brother swept the first two gyms and Maylene's first two Pokemon then Lucario started destroying everything, to win he had to get Lucario Paralyzed then Destiny Bond with Houndoom
