I know the debate for dry vs wet. The main reason is because wet food is NEEDED for hydration because most cats aren’t really drawn to water, so they get most if not all of their hydration from wet food. I also totally get that wet food is more expensive. My two kittens are currently being fed both, dry food one day, wet food the next and so on. I also would recommend adding water to your cats kibble if you’re going to kibble route. A cat being dehydrated can slowly kill them, and really destroy their kidneys. Kidney failure is the leading cause of death in cats, especially younger cats.
Also, please get rid of those cat bowls. Those deep bowls can cause whisker stress to your cat, and be painful for them to eat out of! I know they are cute, but you need to get shallow bowls for him! I say all of this with love and and understanding, and I am also a new kitten owner (I have a 4 month old and a 9 week old kitten). It can be a lot of information overload! I know you will do the best for your kitten, but pls get rid of those bowls!!!
To add onto this comment, please be careful of the ribbon toy! They can actually rip it off, and ingest the ribbon which can either be a VERY costly vet bill, or worse. It’s so hard to find toys without string/ribbon, so I just cut it off the toys. I also want to add that your baby is adorable, and this will be such a fun new adventure!
DONT USE THE LASER cats can get anxiety when the light goes away so it's the best fore your cat to not use it✨

Why’s so much people saying “I would never feed my cat dry food” like let her be and sometimes cats can be really picky and if they are used to sry that is what they will most likely eat it instead of the food they are not used too. I would do 2-3 cup of wet food and 1-3 cup of dry food or whatever you use this is a more affordable option
Exactly, I can't afford a full wet food diet. I use a good dry food and mix in a bot of chicken broth and it works

dry food is really bad for cats. raw food will help them live longer and better lives. thats what they are designed to eat. they need moisture from their food. imagine thinking a carnivore will live a good life eating highly processed food that are 30%+ carbs

See I heard dry cat food was great for them to help with keeping tarder off their teeth. I add 1 teaspoon of pumpkin to her food to help ❤
@@emilyramos8967 you’ll hear anything on the internet or by vets because they are not educated in nutrition. That’s like someone saying eating pretzels and Cheetos will help make your teeth strong and clean. Makes no sense. All it takes is common sense and knowledge on the biology and evolution of cats. They have short acidic digestive tracts that are made to digest raw meat and raw bones. Real food will ALWAYS be better than processed food
I lost my lil dog last year and BOY has it been difficult. I love all animals, and I’ve been considering adopting a shelter cat or kitten. As much as I would love to have another dog, I have to think about my work schedule as well as having to go to my mom’s house (her husband doesn’t allow pets) and cats top the list ❤🐈

hes a pretty boy, i will be getting a rag doll some time this year also, we saved a kitten who was abandoned and had an infection in his eyes and chest that is now all cleared up. hes now almost 4 months old and is the smallest 4 month old kitter iver ever seen. hes about half the size of your cat....it either has a form of drawfism or a thyroid problem that was flared up by the infection. hes the sweetest feral kitten ive ever experienced or seen

As obligate carnivores cats cannot thrive on dietary carbohydrates it can cause cat health( BTW dry food is good for cat teeth)
