Sashas last was misinterpreted it was Nico as for Nicolo but in Japanese it sounds like niku which means meat and that’s is why the translation is like that it is a subtility of the Japanese language. Sashas last word was about her lover and not food

Armin saw his changes early on but the scene where they fought was just too personal to look at it from a more levelheaded point of view. Eren said hurtful things to him too and Armin is already very insecure so it's easy for him to think that what Eren said is true while Jean saw how Eren treasured them and he couldn't accept it that easily. I really wish Armin, Mikasa or someone else would've talked with Eren from the moment he started acting weird instead of Hange making it look like he was going through a phase but even then i know they just didn't know how to handle him. But when we realize Eren was laughing for different reason, the scene with her last words would be useless. Niccolo's nick is supposed to be Nicco, while meat in Japanase is Niku. Coincidence? Really? Why Niccolo isn't named i don't know... Albert? Mario? Joe? Whatever any different name? Isayama is really smart, and even detail like this, he was planning before. He likes to foreshadowing in the anime, more than in manga. For example the song in ending 3, the lyrics, gets whole different meaning when you rewatch it after you saw Aot ending. Or Eren's head heating out, in episode 3 after he hit ground by his head while training with 3D manoeuver. Armored and Collossal titans's identity was revealed in Attack on Titan Junior High, multiple times before season 2 in orginal aot even started, without anyone noticing it. “Meat” was all Eren needed to hear to confirm that the future he saw truly was bound to happen. At that moment, any doubt he had about what he was doing vanished. He confirmed there was no other way but to keep moving forward. That is the reason for his laugh.
Its absolutely incredible that the japanese artists know how to draw dead people even with their eyes closed... its disturbingly accurate. Look at sashas eyes, theyre not just closed, they're sunken...

He actually thought that he was too useless and weak to save peoples who he loved, he laughed at himself and was thinking about the good old days with Sasha. Not only that, but he laughed the same way when Hannes died. He was laughing at himself for not being able to do a single thing to save them. (spoilers) That's also one of the reason for him starting the rumbling and trying to smash everyone else but Paradis, the place where he was born and taken cared of, where there are peoples who he loved. In order to save them, he doesn't care how many peoples he kills, he just wants to save them. Even if it cost him his life, nor it cost him the whole world. So basically, saying Eren is bad is something that isn't true. There was no good in Attack on Titan to begin with, he is just one of the bad. Everyone on attack on titan are bad. It's a war, what did you want from a war between the world vs one single country? In order to win, you have to kill the ones on the other side.

Knowing he has essentially seen the future when he kissed Historia's hand, this scene hits even harder. Eren was basically having a mental breakdown because he realized what he saw was the actual future.
His laugh was haunting, imagine being told the exact thing your visions of the future were. Eren had no reason to believe that his visions of the future were actually true until this very moment, Connie confirming Sasha’s last words also confirmed the rest of the horrible things that will come to pass. Eren now knows that his fate is sealed, and there’s no stopping the war or the many atrocities he must commit in order to save his people. The pain and suffering is only the beginning.

But when we realize Eren was laughing for different reason, the scene with her last words would be useless. Niccolo's nick is supposed to be Nicco, while meat in Japanase is Niku. Coincidence? Really? Why Niccolo isn't named i don't know... Albert? Mario? Joe? Whatever any different name? Isayama is really smart, and even detail like this, he was planning before. He likes to foreshadowing in the anime, more than in manga. For example the song in ending 3, the lyrics, gets whole different meaning when you rewatch it after you saw Aot ending. Or Eren's head heating out, in episode 3 after he hit ground by his head while training with 3D manoeuver. Armored and Collossal titans's identity was revealed in Attack on Titan Junior High, multiple times before season 2 in orginal aot even started, without anyone noticing it. In that anime, Levi wore bandage around his head and right eye also before season 3 even ended.

Sasha died because that one guy didn't go up yet because he was scouting if any were trying to follow or shoot them. The door required to be open for him to get back in later.
“Meat” was all Eren needed to hear to confirm that the future he saw truly was bound to happen. At that moment, any doubt he had about what he was doing vanished. He confirmed there was no other way but to keep moving forward.
That is the reason for his laugh.

Eren now knows that his fate is sealed, and there’s no stopping the war or the many atrocities he must commit in order to save his people. The pain and suffering is only the beginning.
