As a person that has done an engine replacement on a JD 977 I appreciate the clarity on this video. JD could learn something on their tech videos for their warranty work, Of course it did not help that the engine I replaced was among their first that had failed for that particular reason.
I have been circling around a Ventrac and the close quarters maintenance issues and no dealer network near me are an issue. Also, while Ventrac makes a bit of a big deal with the all metal body panels, I fear rust build up over time.
Have you seen my 2005 Ventrac 4200? Over 2,000 hours, many of those hours in Northern Maine and no rust! Before my 4520N, I had a 4500Z, also used in Northern Maine before moving back to South East Pennsylvania and no rust of that either.

Thanks! It can be difficult to record instructional videos with good visuals. I've come a LONG way with my camera angles and editing over the years
Well done
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by!
I need to check my starter heat shield
I'm not sure why mine failed so soon but it cracked and made some rattling noises. It was still doing it's job of protecting the starter though
Ok
And just think about it; you did not have to change-out the OE button head hardware for your hex bolts.
They see a good idea and incorporate it into future designs

Rust has not been a problem for me either., but this is not a machine I would store outside.
