  • Throttle Minimum is the minimum throttle power the ESC will apply to the motor when the user induces a throttle application. If you want a stronger initial throttle and higher motor start up RPM, use a higher value. Use a lower value or 0 to have a softer throttle and lower motor start up RPM. For Spec racing, higher values will increase the punch feel.

Nice easy one to change how abrupt the motor starts up!

I always thought if the throttle minimum was increased, what you did was actually increase the throttle resolution.
I mean, for instance from 0% minimum, half of the throttle movement would make for [100%/2=]50%, whereas if you start with, say, that 15%, you're only using [85%/2=]42.5%, which gives you that 7.5% better resolution, for that same amount of throttle movement, which helps you control your car better, especially at faster tracks, where that lower end of the throttle is barely used.
Why would you only care for this setting to line up for the start which is something you only do once in a race??
If the setting is as I've understood in this video, it would make no sense to have the minimum adjusted to anything other than 0% minimum, as why would you want to reduce your actual max/full throttle?

All it does is change the throttle percentage the ESC starts at. Throttle Frequency will change the resolution though.

@@TekinRacing Thanks for the reply, but I still can't make sense of that reasoning for tuning this option for any competitive adjustment.
With regards to frequency, I would think it should give you the amount of pulses per second the signal it's sending, so it could affect the feeling of resolution and as a parallel side effect, but not necessarily as the main reason for what frequency is actually doing on the ESC, as per the explanation in the video.

It lets you start the motor 'quicker' and makes a stock car feel more punchy. Ask stock class racers, most run it turned up.
Frequency we do offer from 2kHZ to 12kHZ, which lets you change how aggressive the throttle behaves. Plug into a HotWire and check it out.
