Thanks for the review Andy. I agree, I like the Caviar. Wasabi gets the majority of the rave reviews and best ever but i really didn’t like it at all. I really liked the firmness and control and spin out of the caviar. I also like that it comes in 3 different gauges, I opt for the 116 or 120. I use an Ezone 100 and it helps tame the power and gives a nice sound.
That’s some good hitting Andy. Also the extra length for 18x20 is crucial….. especially now a days. I’m going to have to try some of this string, your ball path looks enticing!
Thanks so much Cory. I’m pretty confident that you’d enjoy it. It gives similar bite to your tourna big hitter silver Tour but without the metallic feel/discomfort that you get with alu power replicas. It’d probably go well in your vcore pro hd.
Great review! been trying the strings with a 2022 Ezone 98, wondering if you've experienced the same: Wasabi: comfortable but quite powerful, feels as though it can launch the ball Caviar (17 & 18 gauges): full bed it has insane bite and control. Could feel the 'action' off impact and helped tamed the power of the Ezone Tried adding Enso, Wasabi X as crosses but all too firm. Unfortunately tension loss and notching makes playability a little short I find it odd that Caviar is mentioned as a stiff string but in my experience it's the softest out of the other lines i've tried
I just tried out Ytex Quadro Twist. Think you should do a review of them. It’s my new gamer and I have been doing multifilament hybrid with mains like Technifibre X-One Biphase 16 G mains or NRG 2 17 G and a soft poly like Yonex Poly Tour Pro 16L or Top Spin Cyber Blue on the crosses.
Quadro twist is a solid offering. I used to use it a bunch ~2014 in my head Graphene radical and it paired well. It was very crisp and had excellent top spin. I felt at the time that the touch wasn’t so good at net but my game and preferences have changed since then. I typically like strings at net where the ball sinks in and I can feel the thud in the volleys (rounder softer polys).
Makes sense. Depends on the players play style too. I am a serve and volleyer and found them a bit powerful at the net. Overall its a great string. @@tenniswithandy

Wasabi is amazing. Haven't tried Caviar yet.
I have to try Wasabi pink in full bed. I liked the kpop hybrid but didn’t like the pro hybrid as much, a little too stiff for me.
I’m loving Caviar in a full bed in my Percept 97s. Contemplating crossing it with Enso or Wasabi-X. Have you tried crossing it with either of those?
I have only tried wasabi X. It played a bit firm as a cross and would help probably in adding some control to a Caviar (main) setup.
thanks for the great review! by the way what was tension?
It has been awhile. I think it was around 50 lbs. thanks
