I truly recommend anyone who likes tool to see them in concert. I've seen so many bands in concert and alot of big names. iron maiden, slayer, Metallica, etc and the vibes at a Tool concert are unexplainable. by far the best concert I've been too between rap and metal(those are the 2 genres I listen to). they're a band truly worthy of listening to. Maynard is a class act. hes always hiding in the back so the audience doesnt focus on him and pays attention to the other members of the band and granted he pretty much takes off the second the concert ends. he even did that with his other band(perfect circle) when I went to see them. Its such a diverse audience when you see them. I had like a 70 year old couple next to me and my mom and they where going word for word with every song. truly recommend seeing them if they're playing local to you! out of any of the concerts I've been too they where by far the best and the energy in the arena just hit different compared to the others

@@MaynardsSpaceship it IS church. I saw them a year ago for the second time, first time completely sober. I cried from beginning to end and it was the closest thing to a religious experience I've EVER had. Especially since I was holding the hand of an angel. Someone who taught me what love is. When Pneuma came on, and I looked at her and She looked back, I saw the face of God.......Love.

I find myself doing that and have to remind myself against my will to take a break and play something else for awhile. You can never ever take away that inner smile and happiness that comes the 1st time you hear those open power chords and that double cymbal crash followed along with those masterfully placed drum fills. Good lord it never gets old. Tool is not a band, there a full on orchestra. This song is a lesson in music appreciation. Every note, lyric and utterly impossible percussive expression. So thankful there are still artists left who have the patience and courage to rip there guts out like this.

Tool musically are quite simple but extremely fucking solid. When I say simple I mean technically not amazing but song structure and ambience, etc. Absolute masters, all of them, at creating a mood that is lyrically and musically head and shoulders above everyone else. The success of Fear Inoculum, in my opinion, cements Tool as one of if not the most infuential bands ever.

Even when the set list never changes, you’ll still want to see them 3-5 more times 😂 (on the same tour haha). Listening to just the set list is a mistake imo. The albums themselves are complete experiences like the songs. Each song is like a scene in a movie and some songs (especially in later albums) seem to only exist as a musical transition from one song to next. Start with the most recent album since that is most prevalent in their set list.

Imo, Sweat is the best Tool song. It's 1st on Opiate, their 1st official album, because if you're not ready to Sweat, just leave the Tool in it's case, child. It's just over 3:30, and is chock full of hints at everything they've grown into. It's the best Tool song, imo
