I am 68 and came across this group years ago. When I was dating Mr.Wonderful we found out both of us loved the group. Nineteen years of marriage and we still talk about them. I did not know who Jeff Lynn was, so my husband.filled me in on his own group, the ELO. As for Roy Orbison, who sang Pretty Woman, he opened up for the Beatles in London. He recieved 11 standing ovations. When the Beatles came to America for the first time, they asked Roy what kind of clothes to wear. As you probably remember, the clothes matched their talent.
**LEGENDS** Blonde with hat - Tom Petty - Singer/songwriter since the 70's First Singer - George Harrison from a "little group" called The Beatles. Guy with the bushy hair, shades and beard - Jeff Lynn - From the group "E.L.O" or Electric Light Orchestra. Producer. Other Bushy hair guy - Bob Dylan - world renowned singer and prolific songwriter since the early 60's - Nobel Prize winner and activist. Empty Rocking chair with the guitar and the photo - Roy Orbison - world renowned singer songwriter since the 60's, who passed after the song recording but before the video was made.
I love this song (and "Handle Me With Care"). This song is made even more poignant with the passing of Roy Orbison (in 1988), Tom Petty (in 2017) & George Harrison (in 2001), all of whom have reached 'the end of the line'. Roy Orbison had passed by the time they filmed the video. Thanks for playing this & your comments.
This was all filmed in a studio with the illusion of a train. I wouldn't expect you "youngsters" to realize or appreciate that the individual rock stars in this video came together for the pleasure of creating something special. This supergroup= Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne + (now deceased) members Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Tom Petty. The drummer was a well regarded session musician Jim Keltner. The empty rocking chair with the guitar + the photo shown remembers Roy Orbison who died after the audio recording was made--but before this video. The end of an era--another "end of the line".
Oh yes! We remember when this album came out. So sweet and especially bittersweet since Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Tom Petty died. Such a tremendous talented group.
Everybody in this band has already become a legend and is already in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by the time they formed the band accept Jeff Lynne react to Handle With Care by the Traveling Wilburys
Blonde is Tom Petty. Every guy in there was already famous on their own. They all got together once. The rocking chair with the guitar was Roy Orbison. He died before the video was made. George Harrison the Beatle. Bob Dylan. Forgot the rest!!
Tom Petty Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers George Harrison from the Beatles Jeff Lynne ELO Bob Dylan a legendary songwriter he won the Nobel Peace Prize for literature Roy Orbison passed away before this video was made but he was singing in it react to him singing oh pretty woman
One thing that is not stated enough. How Blues musicians had such a huge impact on these artists. Robbie Robertson from The Band. Canadians mostly. South blues. Led Zeppelin. All came out of American blues. U2 said it best. Three chords and the truth.
Thanks, guys -- "Traveling wilburys" are a "super group" - that started with George Harrison - wanting to support Roy Orbison.. and then pulled in Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne (if you don't know, JL is the genius behind ELO) -- anyway.. they bolstered Roy to a hit song: "Anyway you Want" -- and had so much fun, decided to form their own group.. made a great album.. including this song.. "end of the line".. sadly, Roy didn't last that long (see the rockin' chair with his guitar, and pic on the table...)... I hope you listen to more "Wilburys" -- b/c each of them had features.. and Roy was amazing in some of them..
If you review music, you should have known who these people are. The "blonde"? is Tom Petty (jeezus). There's Dylan, Harrison (you know, George of John Paul George and Ringo?) Jeff Lynne of ELO and Roy Orbison is with them in spirit.
5 legends
Every one of the guys in that video are SUPER HUGE music stars!!!!!
Tom Petty, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, and Roy Orbison. Greatest supergroup ever.
RIP Petty, Harrison and Orbison. I have to say that all of these dudes had huge super hits and were some of the best in the world.
All legendary
R.I.P. George R.I.P. Roy. R.I.P. Tom This song still brings me to tears, because the music world lost three talented musicians. ❤❤❤❤❤

Jeff Lynne formerly of ELO is dude in sun glasses.
Roy Orbison passed away before this video was made. During his vocals, they show his photo, and guitar in the rocking chair.

"Youngsters" who review music should know who these men are, no excuses.

This song puts me in a good mood. I kind of think the 'End of the Line' means the end of life. It's a philosophical song.
Super group alert!!!!! Great and famous musicians
Jeff Lynne was the leader of ELO and if you heard a song in the 80s-90s chances are he wrote it.
Everybody in this band has already become a legend and is already in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by the time they formed the band accept Jeff Lynne react to Handle With Care by the Traveling Wilburys
Jeff Lynne of ELO was just recently inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
This is my funeral song! My husband has a list, and this one is last at the grave site !
Blonde is Tom Petty. Every guy in there was already famous on their own. They all got together once. The rocking chair with the guitar was Roy Orbison. He died before the video was made. George Harrison the Beatle. Bob Dylan. Forgot the rest!!
Super group is an understatement
Jeff Lynn with ELO--the great session drummer Jim Keitner.
Oh, i really like this!
Handle with Care is awesome too. Can't believe you didn't recognize any of the members!
End of the Line was the final song played in the last episode of Parks and Rec.
Tom Petty said Roy's funeral was the day before they made this video. He also said that Roy was the only person he would let call him Tommy.
How can you not know who they are!
Imh They are the greatest super group!!!👌👍✌😁
A tribute to Roy Orbison who passed.
100K SUBS IN 11 moth! Amen!
❤❤❤❤❤
3 of the 5 are gone to heaven, so I guess it’s the end of the line.

The blond is some little unknown guy named Tom Petty.
I hope you were joking!
Only two of the original TW are still alive--Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, and George Harrison are all gone.
Have you heard of an Irish Band called 'The Undertones',my favourite song of theirs is 'Wednesday Week' among' most of their songs.
🎶🎶😎😎🎶🎶
Give a listen to their song Tweeter And The Monkey Man.
One thing that is not stated enough. How Blues musicians had such a huge impact on these artists. Robbie Robertson from The Band. Canadians mostly. South blues. Led Zeppelin. All came out of American blues. U2 said it best. Three chords and the truth.
And Robbie is ingenious Canadian. Native Canadian. ruclips.net/video/Yt1DAMecaWA/видео.html
And because I like to bug people. Thunder Bay Ontario is a sister city to Duluth Minnesota. Bob grew up in Duluth.
When Dylan wen electric they would boo him. The Band.
The band photo you have in your video thumbnail is not the Traveling Wilburys. It’s of some tribute band.
The name itself is a pun , travelling will burys , aren't we all .
Last Night, Not Alone Any More, and Handle With Care are some more good songs they recorded.
