Complete tour dates can be found on the triple vinyl 7inch of "Do you believe in shame. This gig is absolutely on fire as they always have been. Ive been a fan since 1981 and have seen them 35 times over various tours, met them loads to, Really nice guys. Once a Duranie always a Duranie.

@@xerilaun I grew up in the 80's with DD's music playing in heavy rotation on the radio and MTV. Loved their transitions through the 90's and into the 2000's. They were always able to re-invent themselves. Huge fan. Sadly, I never actually saw them live. I kind of regret that now. There were many good bands back then, and financially it was just not possible to see them all. And going to concerts in later decades (like sporting events) became a complete rip off, where you were scammed with venue fees, convenience fees, parking fees, outrageous concession prices, etc. These days, attending a single concert, your'e in it for several hundred in the cheap seats, if you're lucky, all costs factored in. Oh, and taking your family to enjoy the experience? Forget it. You could easily surpass a thousand for a few hours of enjoyment. I can remember going to see acts like Blondie and Cheap Trick in '82 for like $17 dollars a ticket. Even seeing Van Halen live was an absolute bargain compared to the scamming going on today. Those were the days. Sadly, this is the long dark journey that capitalism takes all countries down, until inflation and greed eventually suck everything out of the general population where it gets concentrated into the pockets of just a tiny number of the uber rich. We are seeing this now in America with its growing wealth gap, but that's a whole different story. Anyway, DD will always be one of the prolific greats in pop music.

@@privatename3621 Thanks for posting that, I love hearing peoples perspective on those days. I used to go to be able to go to a show and buy shirts, drinks, no problem. A couple times a month sometimes. It cost about what the movies do now.😂🤙

@privatename3621 Agreed.Just look at Taylor Swift, her concerts are selling for £700 a ticket to see her in Liverpool at the famous Anfield Stadium in July and that's the cheap seats.Who can afford that kind of cash now, not me that's for sure.

  • @greatwhite61967

I still love this band all these decades later & the library of songs they have recorded is amazing plus add to that they are going to be in The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame , 4 decades & 15 studio albums later , with the latter being " Future Past " being their 15th Studio Album released just year in October 2021, & its about time they were or will soon be inducted...
I try to see them Live when i can & i mean no disrespect when i says " Its not to go back & be or feel like my younger self in the 80s " as i see many comments like this & fair play to them but around the world & especially in the UK the 80s was a horrible time to be but we were fortunate enough to have great solo acts & bands from all over the world that would get us through each day as i clearly remember the 80s & i'd never want to go back to that time in history...
Ok the movie " Hot Tub Time Machine " almost makes me want to go back whenever i see it as its just fun seeing how bold we were & we couldn't care especially the men if they wore make up...
Simon has a grear voice but its always very difficult for any singers to run about all over the stage & try & deliver a great performance but even if he didnt always hit the notes perfectly Duran Duran were always about having fun & if it wasnt for John Taylor i would never had swapped the drums for the bass guitar & though he's not using them (at the point im up to on this concert & time) as he wouldve been using his Kubicki Ex Factor Bass Guitar but thode Matsomoku made Aria Pro II SB-Range of bass guitars delivered a sound i couldnt get enough of & though John would predominantly use the Matsomuku made Aria Pro II SB1000 bass guitar when playing Live he used a few other models on those first 3 albums & for me the SB1000 became like the Holy Grail of bass guitars to buy as you saw it on every concert or video of Duran Duran up until the " Notorius" Album...
But as what normally happens daily life gets in your way & you've just got to get on with it but for decades i always said " 1 Day " will i own an SB1000 but it nevet happened until last year i swore i'd track one down this year & buy it & eventually i got to speak to a very helpful Japanese Seller by the name of Ryu & i bought the Matsomuku made Aria Pro II SB1000 bass guitar off of him about 5 weeks ago but since Japan was where they came from & for what i could see you had more of a chance of getting an original Matsomoku made Aria in Japan that anywhere else i tried...
4 decades of saying " 1 Day " & i still dont know why i just didnt just go straight to the main source in Japan but i guess it was that old adage of " Everything Comes To Those Who Wait "
I swore to save enough for this price of 2 vintage bass guitars just incase that scenario happened & sure enough 7 days after buying the original Matsomoku Aria Pro II SB1000 bass guitar i got the chance to find an even a more rare Matsomuku Bass being the Aria Pro II SBR-60 Bass Guitar as they were only made in a limited amount until they stopped making them & then moved on to what their next New Matsomoku made Aria Bass Guitar along with their great range of Lead & Rhythm Guitars was going to be...
Just for those who are not bassist or are wondering why i keeping typing Matsomoku in first is because this is where the original Super Basses where made but sadly the Matsomuku Factory closed in 1986 & i think they tried to keep it running in a limited capacity through into 1987 but the official date that i keep seeing is 1986
I say Matsomoku because whoever bought Aria all these decades after it closed decided to launch the Aria Pro II SB1000 Reissue Bass Guitar in 2012/2013 & though they looked identical & stunning bass guitars to look at they didnt quite capture the original Matsomoku made Aria Pro II SB1000 sound & hence why when you see someone type in Matsomoku in a comment about these bass guitars its because they are the original SB1000 versions , as lets face it although Jack Bruce/Cliff Burton & Sting all feel for their sound it was John Taylor who was the unofficial poster boy for Matsomoku made Aria Pro II SB Range of Bass Guitars as they must have sold millions just from his use of them...
But unfortunately once the original Aria Company closed down many (rightly so) who had bought them & loved their sound then they held on to them to the point they have almost become a collectable item but for anyone wanting a Matsomoku made Aria could see a long wait buying from anywhere all over the world & once the internet was up & running but more so when online internet stores became a regular thing any that showed up on them soon sold & hence why when i spoke with Seller of my now Matsomoku made Aria Pro II SB1000 bass guitar i knew i had the right Seller..
Some owners of various Aria Bass Guitar Models have said they got it within 3 days when sent from Japan but im guessing shipping products can take longer to clear as it took 4 weeks to find out it arrived at a UK depot 2 weeks earlier & was waiting on clearance but i eventual got it & its been worth the money & the wait as any bassist will tell you certain bass guitars have a very distinctive sound that makes them more appealing to buyers & the 70s bass players in successful bands were making their bass sound quite dull/heavy with a lot of bass but the new kids on the block (by the end of the 70s) wanted a brighter sound that still delivered a great bass sound but you could hear their sound better & hence why the 80s had such great bright sounding bass lines...
All these decades later & they are just as popular & many of the younger talebt want to work with them so obviously the Music Critics especially in the UK were wrong & theu have proved time & time again that tgey are willing to take chances & are always up for working with various Producers & as far as i can see Duran Duran will keep going until they physchically cant do it anymore as its great to make & have hit singles & albums but i like millions have seen how much they love playing Live especially John Taylor as he has a look of someone who just loves playing Live & may the Trio have many more years of playing Live together...
In light of this still ongoing coronavirus & its variants stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world...

Fantastic,so you met Simon Le Bonn and Nick Rhodes, fantastic memories for you.Where are their houses,I bet they live in a posh part of London like Chelsea or something, don't get me wrong I aren't jealous. How many artists would you find walking around Harrods, these days, not many.As they would be scared some nut may try and kidnap them or harm them or something, they would send someone on their behalf to Harrods these days or order online.

Man it's a Monday Morning I have never seen this, but the new guy drummer is dragging the whole time and killing me. This would have perfect if he led the way like Roger used to, it helps everything and Roger matches Simons Energy.
In 84 it was repeat of British invasion in Seattle from 1964. 5 black stretch limos passing the space needle on way to stage. I hope someone filmed the heads turning outside the coleseum but they were smart to go way around the block and fast so nobody got out of the 60,000 line outside on a rare sunny evening.
That was my first of about 6 concerts inside and out. Most enjoyed outdoor at Marymoor Park in a suburb outside Seattle where I had decent seat standing and an outdoor pint. Favorite guys ever so positive.

    Buen video!

Has anyone possibly got the full "Villa Park gig" for MENCAP in 83 that they'd maybe very kindly upload at some point coz i do believe the original song "Seven & the ragged tiger" was premiered its one and only time at this gig, Also, Does anybody know what tour DD played in april 1981 when they played Hammersmith And covered an Isley Bros song called "Tell me its just a rumour"? I know they played again the same year in Dec and its not from that gig. Thank You & Greetings from "LIVERPOOL" England.
