Barry is the oldest. Next are fraternal twins Robin & Maurice (pronounced Morris or he went by Mo). Robin is around 30 minutes older than Mo. They had another younger brother Andy, who had a solo career but he passed away at the age of 30. Barry has been married to his wife for over 50 years. She said he used to practice his falsetto while he was in the shower.
Lordy, every time I hear this song, I am 15 years old and skating my heart out on Friday night at the skating rink. We danced and skated for hours and hours to Bee Gees songs. Life was great back then, with no cares, no worries, and enjoying friends and school. thanks for the BEE GEES. Love Them. !
Yay! You should be dancing live with youngest brother Andy is fire 🔥 and to love somebody. Maurice is the 3rd brother 😊Great reaction and Peace out 🙏 ☮️ ✌️
You must listen to Fanny, Be Tender With My Love (with video so you know which ones are singing) and Nights on Broadway on the Midnight Special. All of their songs are incredible!! Their best songs were before and after the disco period in my opinion.
The Bee Gees discography crosses over 50 years, including songs they wrote for other artists and their younger brother Andy. Their style changed over the course of time but their constants were their harmonies and the quality of their music. Check out the video for Fanny Be Tender for range and layers. They could never perform it live because it was so complex. As someone else commented, the live concert video of You Should Be Dancing with Andy is just downright fun and will illustrate just how insanely popular they were! So many jewels, but you have you have to start somewhere.

🌸 so I will give you a recommendation if you want to see little brother Andy perform with these guys there's a live version of a song that they do called" you should be dancing" and baby brother Andy is on stage with them
No autotune, simply one legendary vocals Sir Barry plays in one league with Elvis, MJ and Freddie Mercury - the best falsetto of alle time - quote Paul McCartney about Barry Gibb - when you can sing like a woman - you achieve singing in perfection
They started performing as very young kids. Barry, Robbin, Maurice & they also had a little brother Andy who passed when he was young that also would perform with them and solo career as well.
I'd like to suggest watching documentaries on The Bee Gees and how they first started out. Barry was born in 1946. Robin and Maurice the fraternal twins born in 1949. Andy was born in 1958. Their older sister Lesley born before Barry. Only Barry and Lesley are alive. You know they were born singers and come from a musical family. The brothers at the ages of 9 and 6 were singing. They were close and would share a bed because times were slim. They harmonized perfectly with no training. They would often say that their best places to practice singing would be bathrooms because of the acoustics. Robin back home in the UK would get into trouble. He liked starting fires (nothing major) he was nicknamed "The Flame) A copper caught him and brought him back home and told their parents about it and he hinted that they may want to seek moving to Australia where at that time was a great ticket to go and that's where they were discovered. How they got their name was the disc jockey who heard them sing at the car race track over there was Bill Graham, their Mom was Barbara Gibb and then Barry Gibb so the initials of BG went on to be the Bee Gees. The documentary goes into all sorts of cool info about them. You know I grew up with them as a young teen in the early 70s as the radio played their songs. They at one time in their career had more hits in the charts breaking the Beatles record which was a feat. They also loved kidding around with each other. They had some of the funniest senses of humor which if you look at interviews you can see. Andy too had a good career with Barry getting him started. I could right a manuscript on all I know but in your spare time maybe check out videos on how they began. Another great music video was made in 2000 called "This Is Where I Came In" which hearkens back to their beginnings and the childhood bed they shared as the video starts off with all three laying om a bed to start off and then goes from there. It's a cool song too! I have many favorites of theirs but one in particular is called New York Mining Disaster which wasn't as popular as their disco stuff. They were such prolific song writers, arrangers not only their own music but for other artists. The movie Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta most think the Bee Gees had written all the songs for it after but no, they had already written and recorded all those songs on an album and then got a call from movie producers asking them to write the soundtrack but when they heard their new album, all the songs just happened to fit perfectly.
The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. All 4 brothers are just natural musical talents. All of them dropped out of high school in their early teens and none of them could read or write music. All their compositions were created completely organically. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1967. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced). From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too ruclips.net/video/7niXSh7vWRI/видео.html Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: ruclips.net/video/WH_j90fCIk4/видео.html, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out ruclips.net/video/vfHUS5Mf00Q/видео.html. From their Still Waters album, Smoke and MIrrors: ruclips.net/video/MT9vRHSWNbk/видео.html. From the 1960's I've gotta get a message to you ruclips.net/video/CA4CInDnTk8/видео.html. And from the 1990's the simple song Blue Island live in an accoustic version: ruclips.net/video/162GlAEpfrY/видео.html. Andy was kind of Barry's mini me, about half a foot shorter and 12 years younger but they were the only lefties of the family. However, his voice was nowhere near as broad in range or as strong as Barry's. As producer Alby Galuten said in the book "Tales of the brothers Gibb "Andy's falsetto was nowhere near Barry's." Andy had a lower, huskier, sound to his voice and his range was not as big as Barry's. I personally always thought his voice was much better suited to songs of his first album, Flowing Rivers. Andy died of myocarditis - which is an inflammation of the heart - on March 10, 1988, 5 days after his 30th birthday. His heart had been weakened by his drug addiction over the years which, by the way, was also the main reason for his split from Victoria Principal. He also had a congenital heart problem that was later also discovered in Barry and Barry's second son Ashley. Try listening to the song Dreamin' on ruclips.net/video/-KdBVKcSSSw/видео.html which is kind of a duet with Barry. And here are the 4 brothers live on stage in 1979 doing You Should Be Dancing ruclips.net/video/_6MR-E_Qzz0/видео.html And finally a few photos of Barry and Andy: i.postimg.cc/jS6n3Jkv/Barry-Andy.jpg and i.postimg.cc/TwnPh8M0/82c126fc42a35d3b737867af41338199.jpg and the 4 brothers with their mother i.postimg.cc/FRNMbwkD/b9b2561eadffee11347573c97063c2f8-zpsd89478eb.jpg
🌸 they have a little brother fourth brother named Andy who is also passed....💔 if you look up pictures he is the carbon copy of Barry. and just FYI as a fun fact--- Barry has been married I believe this year is 55 years and staying strong
The third brother is robins fraternal twin Maurice.he was married to scotish singer Lulu who is still going. Songs to check from her are shout on ready steady go when she was 15. To sir with love and relight my fire-take that from the mid 90's.take that are a British band that asked her to ft on the record.
Barry is the tallest. Robin and Maurice are fraternal twins. Robin has the longest hair and Maurice is going bald. They had another brother, Andy, but he was a solo singer who died young.
Recommend you check out “Guilty” which is a duet between Barry Gibb and Barbara Streisand. Song was a joint writing project between Barbara and the BeeGees. I believe they even did the production.
If you like falsetto and harmonies you should try ''Ragdoll'' by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Frankie is about 12 years older than Barry and sang the title song to Grease which Barry wrote and I think he was an influence.
I'm thinking Barry is in his 80's.. his youngest brother Andy was my teen Idol.. Barry was in his 30's when I was a teen.. just have to say.. he was hot.. great music. .. Barry.. the twins... Maurice and Robin...they wrote such amazing music and performed a lot of it..
