Good video for those of us learning about wiring. Thx bud. I’ll be coming back to watch for reference.

Using an atlas twin would allow you to keep the engine in dc moving. It has two reversing switches: one for reverse loop and one for main. Very simple and has been in use since the old days of cab control.

Yes - that would work, of course. It’s just two DPDT switches operating in parallel. Or I could add another DPDT switch beside the reversing switch I have already, flip both at the same time, but that would require running the DC power feed for my entire layout, both decks, through that second reverse switch- or I would create another polarity mismatch somewhere else. Not something I want to do right now. If it was a single deck, I probably would have done that. I could also get the same result with a 4PDT toggle switch, but again that means running my lower deck power through one side of the switch as well.

7:17 - Ahh, you've been shopping at Home Depot possibly, you're using FRP for your panel.
I've probably bought 250+ sheets of this while renovating staff cabins.

Yes, it's from Home Depot. Left over from a shower build in a hunting trailer last summer.
