Grew up watching Benny Hill. Watching almost every Friday. Right before Don Kersners Rock Concert. Watching this makes me think of those great days past.
No surprise that he went continuously 1955 to 1989. Repeats are still playing and still being enjoyed by the young and old. Talent like this only comes along once in a generation.
…And his cameo appearance in the film “The Italian Job” (with Michael Caine) was absolutely wonderful!! Wherever Benny Hill pops up a raucous good time is bound to be had. (You don’t have to be bound to have it!) 😂
A natural talent loved by many of us, i was very sad for him when i read that Thames weren't going to renew his contract after 21 years, he was ahead of his time, his life ended on the 20 of April 1992 on the same day that a new contract with Central Independent Television arrived watching Tv in his middle class London flat, he never had a family of his own , long gone but not forgotten RIP Alfred Hawthorne Hill.
My best friend in school would've laught. our selves hysterical with tears of enjoyment ! Jokes filled funny lines and skits and characters throughout the years ! Such great memories ! 😂😂😂😂
He was an excellent character study of all walks of life. Hilarious. Very unselfconscious in his naughty little bawdiness! He was the charming, chubby cherub-faced impresario - the center of a wide circle of confident talent. It looks like they all had a blast together.
Intelligent and trying to depict those human sides we are only able to understand when acted by him. And the way he feels graciousness and feelings is something that always gives me emotion.
I grew up watching the later series. I haven't seen these before. What an amazing character comedian. Truly one of the greatest.
There will never be another Benny Hill, there couldn't be in this day of age.

Awesome and he was even better in the 70s and 80s

Benny era di gran lunga il fumetto più creativo mai. Ci manchi Mr. Hill. Lei è stata la prima vittima della correttezza politica.
1965 ! And today’s so-called comedians haven’t learnt a damned thing. Still think about you Benny,RIP Pal.
Never new he was doing Fred Scuttle so many years ago.
What a wonderful talent ....hard to beat his natural ability to make people laugh ...gifted and one of a kind ...heaven must be laughing eternally😂😂😂
One of the greatest ever over 30 years making the entire world laugh

Deserved more recognition for his contribution to making us all laugh our heads off.
