It makes sense, but I've been poisoned by other game's nomenclature, where typically it's the "province" which is the smallest indivisible unit of geography.
Hey! Just wanna say I’m really enjoying the videos, I like that you’re thorough! I own the game but I think it’s really hard getting into thanks in part to the UI which I think is hard to understand. I’m a veteran of Total War and Paradox, but how did you get into the game? I’d love to learn, I just think it’s so hard to get into the UI.
Thanks for the positive feedback! I learned a lot from the comments I received, but mostly just playing and playing and sometimes reading the manual... I have no secret trick =)
Does exporting battles increase your chances of winning, given that you play tactically sound? I have this game and have found it impossible to extricate some forces from forest or mountain regions with my poor generals using the base game battle mechanics. Just wondering if it is worth it to invest in FoG2.
Salt mine eh? Didn't know you were building a paradox forum thread.
Who let in the comedians?!
The smaller areas are regions, and when you have at least half of the regions within a given province, you can create that province.

I would like to see what an exported battle looks like.
Great feedback, we'll jump into one then. The only downside is they take a long time.
Pontus empire has grown
Yes, chariots are useless in mountain battles. They are also useless if you export to FOG2.
I don't think I'll be building more of them, although they seem to have pretty good stats on the strategic map (as you said, not on mountains!).
1 year later.... Pompei doesn't end in a y ;) Cool series

Keep the normal ageing tokens....
I don't want to keep aging tokens.
Bummed that you aren't doing the export battles.
I'm happy to export the battles and play it out, with the only downside being it takes a long time to fight them (could be a couple of videos).
Found it haha
