4:29 You can select the layer, then in the search bar at the top of the layer stack type "Path" and it'll give you all the groups' Path properties - then you can easily hit the stopwatch button. Saves some time having to twirl open every group. :-)
Was about to leave the same comment. And another tip: To quickly click all of them, just click the first one then drag straight down while keeping the mouse button down, and all the stopwatches will get ticked as you pass them.

2:43 - you can click the hamburger menu on the layers panel and select 'Release to Layers (Sequence)' then select all the layers created within layer 1 and drag them above... saves you having to copy and paste / create new layers :)

it doesn't work for me - the "EXPAND " option doesn't work on 3d text in the new version of Illustrator (26.4) + they added an option in the 3d menu to "expand as wireframe " but it gives a completely different result ....... so new versions users can't really use this tutorial

Love your tutorials - Watched so many of them! Would just love, to get some of your shortcuts - for instance, the one you use with fitting a shape layer to the composition and cropping the "out" point to your marker to bring another example. Could you maybe make a little list, or just add them a bit more - would be awesome. Otherwise thanks a lot, for simple and very effective tutorials for great learning - and its wonderful, that you can watch them, follow them and listen to your own music while youre at it ;) Love it.

hey dude having big trouble trying to just make the part at 6:48 work, I get it's as simple as dragging those selected points and moving it up but the very act of just grabbing these points seems like rocket science SOMEHOW, any pointers or is there an after affects selection tool that I don't know about, thanks for your help
Select the points which you wanna to move, then hold "Shift" Key and use "Up Arrow" key to move.

Love the effect but @4:55 you pop open all the layers to show the paths. I don't know how or why.
U key. Hitting U on a layer will show you all of the keyframes that you've made. He highlighted all of the layers and hit U and it opened up for him.

You make great stuff but it's really difficult to follow a tutorial when you don't talk through it. You should consider doing a voice over on your videos, it goes a long way.

I'm having trouble extruding the text in after effects, when i animate the paths the front of the letter just comes off instead of extruding
