What a wonderful surprise of Dee and Ryann! I love how Dee gets Ryann out of her shyness in front of the camera. The barn is a dream! So much potential, so many treasures. So happy for your family 🥰
You need to keep Dee in the videos she is awesome. Ryann did a great job with the spiders. What an awesome space and you are so right a gallery upstairs is perfect and letting other artist host workshops there is a great idea as well as hosting your own. Lot of love to you all.
As a massage therapist, I would love a space in the barn! Besides if you rent to wellness practitioners ( as well as artists) you only have to walk out of the chateau for your own massages! 🤗
Oh I love this barn! It’s the prettiest barn I’ve seen ☺️ I can see why you’re excited…I’m excited! Yes, so much potential. How lovely of Dee & Ryan to start clearing up 😊 You are so lucky to have found this Chateau, it’s perfect for you ❤️
🥰🇨🇦 Hi I'm Ren in Vancouver. I am happy to share your happy journey of restoration a piece of History. As an Acadian, France holds a special place in my heart and culture.. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.❤💯❤🇨🇦
The barn is stunning--studio space, atelier, workshops, retreats, yoga school, winery with attached pergola, amazing! Beautiful, solid architecture. And such wonderful helpers preparing a surprise clean up! Fantastic.💗
Steve and Sara, I am so thrilled for you, having purchased the most beautiful chateau with all the fantastic outbuildings. Can’t wait to follow along as you transform it all the home of your dreams.
@@ktkt9982 💐Yes, they did a splendid job 🧹tidying the Studio. Very kind & industrious of them. Great barn with loads of potential! So kind of Gran and Ryan to remove the cobwebs and sweep up. Little by little -so exciting. Well done Steve and Sarah🙏🏻❤️
I cannot add enough heart eyes emojis to express how much i love this place. I would have totally bought it for the barn too. As you were showing us around I could see so many potential uses for the spaces. If you hold big events I could see feeding people in the old cow barn porting with big harvest tables spread all around. And the out door covered area is just asking for strung lights and a summer party. I can't wait to see it all complete (in a few years I know) Great job Dee and Ryann just getting t cob webs out made a huge difference..
Definitely the best barn ever!!! So beautifully solid - everything used to be done to please the eye - not like today. It'll be a treat to see how you transform it!! All the best from Elmira 🇨🇦 ❤️
Your studio is going to be amazing! Light a fire, wash your brushes, no toilet, oh well can’t have it all.🇨🇦❤️the attic, those beams are beautiful, excited to watch the transformation.
The outer walls of your barn has so much character… it has that rustic but elegant charm… and such spacious interior. I’m excited for your future plans for the mix use of your barn. 👍 👍 Sarah, it’s so sweet of your Mom and niece to clean the room that Steve intended to be his art studio. 😃 😃
OH I do agree, the outside of the side barn was so sweet, then later when the back of barn, showing that beautiful, large, outdoor covered area! I got so excited and could see a artists conversing with others, while seating and enjoying the views.
That cleaning made a huge difference. Now some sanding and paint and Steve is good to go with his art studio! Sweet, nice, and genuine family ! Great out building, and the horses and cows had a swanky place to stay for sure.
How exciting for you, I can see how you must have fallen in love with the outbuildings, the stonework as well of the grounds and the Chateau of course. Brave ladies tackling those spiders, ugh, but what a great surprise and you can move your art bits in immediately when they arrive. All good for the winter, I think it’s going to be a cold one. WCL
This Video just made me feel like BEING THERE & HELPING CLEANING UP EVERYTHING & leaving it squeaky clean 🧼 and beautiful ! Thank you M&M for letting us be part of this BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY with you guys 😉
The outbuilding is lovely! It seems that these chateaux have outbuildings almost as interesting as the chateau itself! So many possibilities! Good work, Ryann & Dee!
One can only sense the excitement of what future plans lay ahead for your outbuilding(s) conversion. I'm so invested, from afar,in your dreams and hopes as well. Miss Dee, you have a spirit of good will and mischievousness!!! I appreciate how your "side kick" is following in your foot steps. How great watching the family pulling together.
It is stunning! I can see you work in there Steve, my whole house fits in there, so big! And part from some roof holes it is sturdy. And those two sweethearts cleaning it out for you, awwwww.
The farm is awesome!!! The building is beautiful ... Well, the spiders have definitely taken up residence. This will be an awesome studio and so much fun to have the bread oven!!! Goodness I love the stable. What great spaces. This looks like it is in good repair. Love seeing the old things. This building is so amazing and so beautiful! Love the old doors and they can easily be restored. All the best to you all. Love the old timbers. Yes, the stone work is stunning. Great job ladies!!!
Wow that’s a stunning barn. I can just see the sewing/quilting/painting retreats there. Stay in the house and workshops in the barn/artist studio. Package deal. Good job Ryan and Dee
As a sculptor who built a 40 x 60 pole barn with a concrete floor, for my husband's machine shop and my studio, I know just how excited you are to have such a wonderful creative space. Love the barn! As you stated, the potential is endless. The "big dust-up" by Ryann and Dee was wonderful and demonstrated how just dusting and sweeping can be encouraging. Bravo! to two very sweet women.
Great job Nan and DEE so thoughtful and supportive. 👍😊 Beautiful 🤩outbuildings and they are in such great shape. You chose well. You are right so much potential.🌈 from Vancouver🇨🇦

when clearing cob webs from inside, use evergreen bows to collect the webs with, they can always be returned back to the bush, where as brooms and the like have to hosed down if you want to reuse them again
The out buildings are amazing, I can see why you love them so. It was so kind of your relatives to clean it up for you. Now you just need to clean the chicken coop and get some hens to complete the effect of country life in France. LOVE the temper beams in the barns.🇨🇦
Omg those are the best out buildings, and they are actually in pretty good shape. Yeah you need to at least patch the roof for now, but wow the spaces and potential hay even if you used for there intended purposes how intact they are. This property just keeps on giving!

What a great surprise pulled off by Dee and Ryann! Such a transformation! No wonder you fell for the barn. It is stunning; so much detail. Love your ideas for using it. Really enjoying your vlogs.
This round brush is called a 'tete de loup' or wolfs head, I was just given one by a friend shocked by my extensive collection of pretty webs ! Still haven't used it !
That is so cute. I don’t remember what we called them growing up, he probably just had nicknames for it, but I can see if I’m searching for them here in the US that they are usually labeled cobweb duster. Wolfs head is much more exciting!
These outbuildings are wonderful. So much potential!! I love the open space at the outside of the buildings. Depending Steve, you can after sorting out the floor, you can paint outside on a hot summers day, you can exhibitions of all sorts there. The gals did a wonderful job in clearing and cleaning. I would do a better quality staircase, a nice wide one so you can carry the artwork up or down. How about having a music evening during summer time. Regards to all and thank you for sharing your exciting and very interesting lives with us. Nice to see you warm hearted people so blessed. Au revoir for now.
What a great job Ryann and Dee did on the studio area. A loving thing to do. Great outbuildings and super ideas for their usage. I love old barns. Looking forward to being a part of your journey. It’s snowing here in Penetang. Hope you enjoy better weather over there. Cheers!
The barn is really beautiful! I think a lot of people would have just purchased the barn on its own to convert and live in, so it's awesome that it comes along with the chateau. The gallery idea is wonderful, as well as the mixed use artist workshops. I also feel that many artists in various fields would want to find inspiration there, and have their work displayed there too.
I love your barn. I think that your tractor area would have been the original carriage house before tractors. Then the stables and tack room where the horse harness or saddles would have been kept and maintained. The reason that the carriages were kept in a separate area to the horse stables is that the carriage paintwork (often 12 careful slow drying layers of hand mixed paint finished to a high gloss) was kept away from any animal fumes (urine and stable waste etc) that would have tarnished the paintwork and leather and metal on the carriage. The tack and harness are kept in separate rooms for the same reason. Carriages or horse drawn implements were very expensive to have and to maintain and were extremely valuable items. I have horses and carriages and would absolutely love to have a set up like yours. It's perfect and I am excited for you.
Carriages are works of Art. Till you utilize the space, how about a gallery of Carriages for a year to bring visitors to your Chateau with visiting carriage artists and their Carriages?
Wow - those "outbuildings" are far better than I expected. VERY cool - inside and out. Really looking forward to seeing how you proceed. Enjoying your channel!
That's what I thought also about the barn "Potential." The attic is probably the " hay loft." Where the stable is may be where milking cows were. The metal bowls attached to the stalls are what the cows push down with their nose to get a drink while standing.
