Miracle whip sucks.
It’s specifically the black and red spider that climbs walls. The yellow one attaches to the ceiling giving you a rope
The spider people were talking about is the red spider called the Crawltula, you can legit access most of the map once you get it
Ian learning the water block and then immediately solving the puzzles that were meant to be solved with said water block with a bed instead is incredibly funny. No need to fix what ain't broken

Free advice: summoning water blocks can extend the water forward or upward. Really good for climbing.

RUclips commenters who give advice really need to think about the advice they're giving sometimes, as that comment was talking about a spider you haven't encountered yet. Also wow that Applebee's joke is invading all the BLG series.

Also the way getting hit by that tektite made Ian completely overlook the game's attempt to tutorialize the use of water blocks, then traversing the whole are with beds and trampolines, was amazingly funny.
This series is comedy gold, watching Ian get blown up by a fish while trying to take a nap =)
For future reference, potential treasure chests will show up on the map in dungeons, so if you ever think there might be one in a spot, you can check that.

Ah, the water block. After I got that block, I never had to worry about climbing ever again. I'm sure you can break the game in many different way, but the water block was my way.
Spear Moblin tip!!!!!!
They will refuse to throw until they are a certain distance away from their target. If they can't get far enough away, they will just try to back up forever.
Additionally can be mitigated by binding the enemy to keep them perfect distance, or by lifting them onto your head, they won't try to distance themselves and just keep throwing stuff.
Day 147 of reminding everyone Ian drank Casey’s Nesquik. The water block is such a game breaking item. When I first got it, I used it to climb out of the pit at the entrance. Worked. Now whenever I have a sheer cliff I like put all the water I can nearby and see how close it comes to meeting the top.
Edit: The crawling spider is a different enemy than the one you have now. It is true though that when you get that other spider enemy you can reverse bind and it’ll climb walls for you tho.

@@MichaelPalin The honest truth? When it gets close to an hour mark (noon, 1 PM, 2 PM) I sit on the BLG channel page and just refresh the page for minutes. To ensure I’m always the first/one of the first to see a video, I venture to the part of town with the fastest internet. I take my Nesquik quest very seriously.

@@MichaelPalin She does sometimes. I think she did back on Day 3, and I’ll sometimes get replies from BLG if I ask a question or if I’m especially funny I suppose.
fun fact/tip: the first heal of a bed is faster, so If you get in and out after healing you can heal faster. its still just as good as a thing in the game thats its only use is that.
also you can just cheat EVERY puzzle with the switches by using the werid like boo thing

Man, that sucks that your replacement controller didn't work. I can confirm as someone who worked at GameStop that they're supposed to test the controllers before taking them in and if they don't work (depending on the issue) either refuse or send them to the warehouse to be repaired. At least, that's how it works in Canada, and I assume it's the same in the US

You don't have what people are talking about yet (unless I missed it). People seem to be really bad about telling you guys about things you don't have yet (in multiple games).
I love how this game handles progression because now that you have the water blocks you basically have a better movement tool. Ian didn't really experiment with it so I won't talk too much about it yet but it replaced all of my movement echoes. (I don't blame Ian for not thinking about it because I learned it from one of the trailers so I don't know if I would have thought of it otherwise.)
Maybe you can try holding the spear moblins above your head, I've heard that makes them much better. (I only ask because I'm curious if they are right.)
You can actually go over the gap at the start of the temple if you know about it. They don't force you to go through that section unless you fall into the trap.
22:43 I think this is the first time I've seen the game drop in framerate during your series. I wonder why because my copy feels like it runs slower during quite a bit of the game. It really feels like it was a switch 2 game that didn't get delayed with the console.
I get that pre-owned controllers are cheaper but I don't think it would ever be worth it with how terrible controllers are nowadays. If you bought a used controller and it breaks after 5-10 hours of using it you would have just wasted however much it cost because that could have gone towards a new controller.
Also I have a small controller rant I want to leave somewhere so I'll do it here. I had a PS5 controller that I only used for FF7 Remake for about 100 hours. I then didn't use it for 2 and a half years and when I went to use it again I couldn't play at all because the drift was so bad that the camera would never sit still. You want to know what Sonys solution to their stick drift is? Buy a $200 controller that has replaceable sticks. That's right, they don't even make the pro controllers sticks better they just make it "cheaper" to replace them. (In quotes because you would have to have 3 regular controllers break on you to match the cost.) I just learned while double checking the prices the stick replacements are only 1 for $20 so if both sticks break on your controller it would be $40 to replace both. Half the cost of a regular controller.
I'm just going to put a reminder for myself here to talk about something in this episode later so don't mind me.
