Bought Tesla in 2020 after i retired. I sold all my old mutual funds that i had been saving for over 32 years in law enforcement. Tesla stock has made my life easier after retirement and I also purchased TSLY which gives me a div of 3500 to 6500 a month. On top of that I bought a Y is cash and truly its the best car i have ever owned, and that includes my Merc!
That is amazing I have 1500 shares of the stock and now I am interested in buying the ETF I’m just curious could you let me know about how many shears you have to make that per month

Don’t get me wrong, I‘m Invested in Tesla for quite a time and I‘m convinced what Tesla and Elon are doing. Also I believe that Teslas future is bright.

My prediction is the day they announce Optima the stock will not go up at all or will go down. This may be illogical, but it is consistent with what happens anytime Tesla announces good news.
Long term of course Randy Kirk and Elon Musk are right. Optima will help Tesla a great deal, very possibly more than auto, robotaxi, and energy. Nonetheless I believe because of the demonstrated stupidity of the "expert analysts" Tesla stock will go down while Randy is doing a happy dance.

I have just over 3k shares in the $170 range. I’ll be a teslanair in 2035…. Maybe 😂 We are all delusional thinking Tsla will hit $1000 per share after it already split multiple times. I certainly want to retire before I am 60 but I have been disappointed in life more than we can think. Hopefully everyone is correct and I can leave a nice legacy to my kids and hope they never have to work and deal with all the life BS my wife and I have had to deal with. We can only dream our kids will be set for life.
If you seriously think that it will take until 2035 for you to become a millionaire on Tesla stock. Your 3000 shares * $487, you must be really stupid for holding those shares.

Worse case I lose it all and will have to work for the rest of my life. Maybe I’ll pursue a career change. Something I would enjoy more than working in IT. Hoping all of us can make some money off this company. To retire you need 1.7mil. 1 mil isn’t enough nowadays even when living in a trailer 😂. Cost is high everywhere with kids. I won’t retire but it will be nice to not have to work.

well my exp is that everything announced by tesla the stock moves down the day that any deal is announced.

Hope you are right. However I think it will be a prototype only. It will take a couple years at least to get a plant up and ready to make these robots in high numbers.
i dont want to be mean but you dont know what they are doing or which capabilities they have. the optimus is build very simple. and the software is with ai another level which just need chips filled with copy and paste.

It does seem like crazy optimism to think that Tesla stock price can go up multiple times from here, but, it's gone up 16,000% since inception. Tesla is really just getting started with 2 state of the art factories ramping up and a third announced. Tesla has insane margins and no debt. It is entirely possible and reasonable that the stock price goes up 14,000% again in the next few years. Not guaranteed, but possible.
It not optimism its math. What does it mean to own all the gas stations? To own all the uber/lyft/truck drivers in the world? To own half the energy storage market? To redefine how the world refines lithium? To make cars than have nearly 30% margins?
I don't think this is going to happen at all. I think we will see a slow rise as the price of vehicles goes down. But no moves on new releases..maybe even go down. Not optimistic.

People get stupid and forget the dip we've had. I'm still in red but grateful the the share price has rocketed. I consider I'm lucky at this point. A bit more of a decent run and I'll be more than happy. I'll stick with Tesla but it's crazy not to be realistic. I believe so much value is added to the share price because of the Elon effect.

FSD has been a case of getting to the top of the hill only to realise there is another incline you couldn't see when you started. This repeats, always progressing but never getting a clear view of the end point. Optimus will not be launched for home consumers for many years. The gradual introduction to the factory/warehouse environment must come first. It's all ground breaking stuff and will bring rich rewards. It won't be as rasy as Randy makes it sound though.

I've owned both nVidia and Tesla for years, and there are some similarities. Tesla worked on EVs when nobody else was interested in them. Jensen focused on accelerated computing when most were interested general purpose computing. Both are disrupting huge markets with a major lead thanks to an early start. That said, I think it's somewhat hypocritical of Elon Musk to complain about nVidia's dominance when Tesla enjoys pretty much the same position in EVs for essentially the same reason.

Regarding Robotaxis, it's hard to think outside the box with new concepts. We think we in America are at the center of the world, and if it doesn't happen here, it is not happening anywhere. Your viewers should know that CHINA already has Robotaxis operating in at least 3 cities in China, it would show the world that driverless taxis are a reality in China. Baidu just rec'd a license for driverless taxi in Beijing. Passengers get into the car/ bus, fasten their seatbelts, and the vehicle starts is automated route. The steering wheel turns on its own, and there is no person sitting in the driver's seat.
At 2k p/s I will cash out & retire, maybe buy a M3 LR but I’m going to enjoy the ride. 90% all in TSLA shares let’s enjoy the ride it will get there 👍🏽
If Tesla is smart they will insure Teslas using FSD at a huge discount, and build statistical proof that the system is far safer than human driven vehicles. After that FSD will be adopted regardless of the regulators. Tesla can license FSD later on for non Tesla vehicles with the needed hardware.
Making a rod for their own back selling it for so much now. Makes it hard to bring within the reach of the masses at a lower price. Imagine how it would anger the people that had forked out so much in the early days.
@@Cybertruck1000 FSD started out fairly reasonable, but has gotten expensive. I reserved a CT with FSD at $7,000, which I'm okay with. 13K? not so much.

First, wait until July 18 when the quarterly report comes out. Second there are lots of issues in the current economy that do not look good. I like Tesla, but I just sold it for $260/share last week.
There is no negative in taking a profit. I try to look at my stock positions as if it were the first day. Would I buy it now.
People talk about the Tesla bot like they know what it can do. They remind me of people who think they know what quantum physics is. "Oh you will never understand. Matter can be in two places at the same time. I can't simplify it enough that you will understand." When one Bot learns a task, will all of the others get the same download? Can I teach my bot how to do a task? Will it spy on me? Will it tell all of the others? Good video.. I hope you are correct.

Why doesn't Tesla use it's same automotive principle of constantly improving it's vehicles to it's powerwalls, chargers and solar division. Right now 2 chargers have bidirectional capabilities...it would be simple for Tesla to add this function ,but they don't. Same as the powerwall where there are better options, some powerwalls have LFP and built in plugs that allow for home generators to be plugged into the battery. We have been waiting on the PW3 for years...they can at least add the generator plug to the currant PW2 , so right now there are 3 better options then the PW2 that offer LFP and have that generator plug. Come on Tesla keep up in other areas. Love to hear your thoughts. I get my info from Solarsurge.

Great story. I believe it will be at least three years before Optimus is ready for mass commercial sales. So, the 8x is probably not coming before 2027 at the earliest - some of this is already baked in. P.S. why Joe Rogan? He's good at clips about scary predators and stereotyping...

Optimus is irrelevant in the mid term (1-3 years) especially as it relates to earning or stock move. The only thing that can have a major positive effect on the stock is solving the FSD and deploying huge number of robo taxis, this is unlikely but possible in 1-3 years.

The Tesla robots will not be for sale or lease until they have reached the level of capability to be trained for useful tasks. That will not happen as soon as you are saying.
If Tesla announces an Optimus event, the stock will immediately drop like a stone. Then it will slowly crawl back up. But the real run-up will only happen if a mainstream player (e.g., Ford) orders 500 Optimus bots.

The day Optimus is announced as official product, stock will go DOWN. All the wisenheimers at WSJ, CNBC will make the usual negative noises. A year, 18 months later, when orders begin to roll in from Amazon, UPS, USPS, Ford, etc, THEN things will pick up.

Beta fsd is already 97% good and only 3% not that good yet.
Since the most recent FSD update, I use it exclusively, minor predictable interventions required. Massive improvement from 30 days ago .

It all comes down to Macro issues. If China invades Taiwan over the next few years your projections go out the window. The supply chain from TSMC to other Chinese suppliers will disrupt Tesla’s supply channel. The global economy will be greatly affected by this conflict. By the way, I hold Tesla stock.
Frankly, I think Jensen is the better CEO. He's more focused and reliable. He's not trying to be some controversial celebrity, or juggle half a dozen companies, and rather than talking smack about others, he builds strong business relationships with them. Tesla's success depends on products that keep getting delayed. nVidia has a solid record of getting things done on time. I'm sure my opinion will upset some fanboys, but I'm not in the market to be part of a fan club.
To be fair, Elon isn't trying to be "some controversial celebrity". He's just trying to do his thing. The media makes him out to be controversial. People that believe the narrative spewed by the media simply out themselves as the lemmings they are.
I can't make the comparison as I have no idea about Jensen. However, as a manufacturer and marketer, and one who has studied business for a very, very long time, I think Elon's genius is beyond any other. The fact that he has successfully built so many great companies and now so many divisions of one company is tribute and all the evidence one should need.

Like the positive Arbuthnot far too optimistic. This is the same guy that time and again over predicts deliveries and earnings each quarter only to be brought back down to earth. Not trying to sound like a hater. I am fully invested in tsla, but I understand so many things that could and do have an affect on the price are out of the companies control.
Randy, you hit the nail on the head. Optimus reveal and order taking could happen BEFORE FSD release! It will be a turning point in history. People will start to understand when they see an Optimus robot walk off the line, pick up a tool and join a new robot line. A billion Optimi by 2035.
The stock will quadruple over a 2 month period for FSD solve. Stock will 100 X over the following 2 years after Tesla starts taking orders on Optimus.

I put $3 million in Tesla a few months ago, and I'm a slow learner, but realizing at an exponential rate how stupid I was to invest in Tesla. The company's best days are behind it as I explain clearly elsewhere. Can't wait to recover my paper losses and get the hell off the bullet train of disaster

They will, for sure. It is newsworthy. But the folks have more sense than that.
Statistics don't lie. Independent government data say Tesla are safest. That improves as we go along. It's not really something the media can lie about in the long term.
