Stronger Together: Gender Equality project

On 7-8 April we organised a networking event in Athens, Greece for the Stronger Together: Gender Equality project in Europe, part of our youth leadership programme Youth Connect.
The project delivered a course on Leadership for Gender Equality co-designed by the British Council and Clore Social Leadership. It offered an opportunity for course participants to apply for micro-grants funded by the British Council and supported by Women on Top.
During the networking event, we brought together grantees from Cyprus, Greece, the Netherlands, Latvia and Poland to present their social actions targeting gender equality at community level and to connect and network with each other. As part of the event, we had a public discussion with key experts from the UK and Europe on Leading Change for Gender Equality, hosted at WOW Athens 2024, organised by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, in collaboration with the WOW Foundation.
