About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:
The MCCTv (FuzzyMemoriesTV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s to early 80s, mostly) recorded off of TV (in Chicago or other cities now too); things which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. If you have any old 1970s videotapes recorded off of TV please email: tapes@fuzzy.tv Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical preservation. For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or lend tapes to be converted to digital, please e-mail tapes@fuzzy.tv Thank you for your help! Развлечения
I miss Image Union! Too bad that we don't see programs like this on free TV anymore.
They really had some films there that were like nothing you'd see on network television. I was pretty young, but I always watched this program.
Too bad we don’t see ANY programs anymore. They’re all shit
RIP Artie Mentz. He passed in April 2021. He did that Elvis tribute right to the end.
I was wondering about if he was still performing. I like this film because you can tell, the aim isn't to make fun of these people at all. Just let them tell their stories. Artie comes across as a very sincere and nice guy.
We need image union now bring the show back
So good. Image Union was a major part of my interest in film and visual arts as a child!
One of the programs that inspired me to go to, and while I was attending, Columbia College.
In the 70s, my Grandmother had a porcelain Elvis status on her big wooden TV. After he "died",it became a Shrine.
I always enjoyed watching this show. I truly miss it and the creative spirit behind it.
Classic! My father (RIP) turned me on to this show. He would always imitate the voice at the end of the show. Thanks for the upload!
“People are strange”
Jim Morrison
Great doc , thanks for posting!
Loved this show and remember this episode. Thanks for uploading this. Miss this show.
I like that this film doesn't pass judgement on any of these people. I'm not necessarily an Elvis fan but I like his music in general. Funnily enough, I seem to have quite a few friends who are VERY much into Elvis, including one who performs as the man himself. Do I look at them as nuts or wacko? Not really, they just like Elvis way, (WAY) more than the average fan. This film presents these people as they are, and I have to applaud the film maker because this was made with a fairly objective POV, no sense of ironic humor or smirking conceit.
This show and "Alive from Off Center" were amazing and God bless Marty.
omg, Image Union. I haven't thought about his for probably 30 years. What a treat. Thank you so much, The Museum of Classic Chicago Television, for bringing back these memories. Your work is on this channel is incredible!
Thank you very much for bringing this back it very clear and taken care of, hope to find more soon
Awesome old doc. Glad this has been saved.
I loved this show as a kid!!! Thank you very much for this!!
Very interesting.
Wow! I forgot all about Image Union! Thanks so much!!!
damnnnnn youre bringing back memories. I forgot all about this show.
This particular show (minus the Kaufman stuff at the end) ended up on VHS as Mondo Elvis.
The later title of this was Mondo Elvis.
This feels like an [adult swim] fever dream.
Hey Officer Scarbonne 🖐😂
Judy and Jenny are definitely Presleys
Nobody bought the Yahtzee story then or now. LOL
This show is very despairing to Elvis and his fans. Not all of his fans are deviant from society.
I wonder what ever became of Officer Scavoni since way back then(0:05)
"Hey, what are we going to fill our next episode up with?"
"I don't know. Isn't the anniversary of Elvis' death coming up? Let's find a bunch of insane Elvis fanatics, like real wacko types, and let them ramble on about why they love Elvis. Even if they're completely nuts! Certifiable. Oh, and throw some impersonator in there for some filler. Bam! Another episode in the can. This stuff writes itself."
"People will watch that?"
"Dude, people will be watching this crap 40 years later, trust me."
One of the twins turned into a serial killer.
Watching late night PBS would be weird without stuff not suitable for younger viewers.
it's like hbo
I thought image Union was an hour long?
