This song reminds me that we too are under the glass of the microscope. The lyrics are a sad homage to our own self destructive tendancies, enough to make you cry. Then the chorus comes to blow your mind. Just like the end of a hidden camera show, we are told to tilt our head back, as if directed to our secret audience. We are now aware that this world was a test. We were monitored this whole time, and we have failed miserably. The interdimensionals look down upon us in disgust. We spend our days robbing and murdering eachother. And in the end it seems we have brought Slugworth his requested gobstopper. No Chocolate factory for us.
This is a tragic video, most of us will die from disease, the song beautifully captures that feeling of inevitable doom and the pressure/hope of being in battle with these invisible enemies. I hope some scientist working on a cure from one of our many ailments watches this and cries ;).
