I appreciate your interest. Unfortunately with the cost of materials these days I haven’t made them in awhile. Feel free to make one of your own. It’s a fun project
Your enthusiasm is contagious! Great idea. I'm wondering why you didn't just make it out of solid bar stock, which would have saved the need and time of welding caps on each end and filling the insides with lead shot
Thank you for watching. That’s a great question. That truck looks a whole lot nicer than it actually is and is currently being taken apart for a total overhaul. When I’m done restoring it the truck will no longer be sitting there. Much of what goes on in that shop would make a mess of the paint. Thank you again for watching any taking a moment to leave a comment.
Fantastic job Phil. How ironic my justification for my first Langmuir was to cut circles. I was making 4 in circles for my powder coating stands. Saved me a lot of money over the years.
Thank you Chad. Circles are a bit more of a hassle than their commonality suggests. If all I ever did with this table was circles it would be worth it. 🤣🙌🏼
Finally got a chance to sit down and watch this and it always a pleasure to watch you make that magic Chop! Another great video and such beautiful little useful third hands🤩 I should know, I bought one! 👍👍
Thank you! Super appreciate you watching and of course supporting the HoC with your purchase. I enjoy making these little guys and seeing what people do with them. Tag me over on Instagram 🔥👍🏼🔥
It’s called Pico Quench Guard. It keeps stuff nice and fresh with out rust or algae growth in your water table. 😉 (from their website) Environmentally-friendly coolant, lubricant and corrosion inhibitor. Table conditioner primarily for use in plasma and waterjet cutting/burn table systems.
Jason Becker Appreciate it Jason. Seriously means a boat load coming from you. 🙌🏼🙇🏻 Weighting them up like that was really about just using what I had on hand at first but it ended up working out so well I stuck with it for the production run. Looking forward to your version. 🔥👍🏼🔥
@@HouseofChop here’s a couple we did on the channel. I’ve got a couple more ideas but haven’t done a prototype yet ruclips.net/video/jqz-AK1qF9o/видео.html
Thank you! They are a good bit of work. Weight and hitting a price point for the customers is the only reason to make them this way. The solid stock would be lighter and costs would rocket. Those little suckers are heavy for their size. 😉
Tess are really cool, I’ll definitely pick one up from your website. Also, one thing I appreciate about you and your shop compared to most other metal fab RUclipsrs is how clean you keep your shop. My tools share the garage with our home gym and the kids stuff so I’m constantly having to clean up and/or work out in the driveway
Great Job!! I'll have to try and make one of them, as soon as I learn how to use my welders!! LOL!! One thing, can I get the drugs your on locally? Your WAY too happy! Keep up the great videos. Thank you.
Thank you Andy. Appreciate you taking a moment to watch and comment. You should absolutely build one. They are a great first project and a very useful tool to have around. As for the drugs they are absolutely available, enjoy what you are doing and f the haters. Makes life so much more enjoyable 😁🙌🏼
Awesome work Philip! put Copper BB's in mine. The Lead Shot is a good idea though, because you can use a much smaller size, (like #9) thus making it more dense which equals more weight. I think I will pick up a couple just to add to my Arsenal, and possibly get myself a House of Chop slap for my Shop. :)
Thanks man from one Philip to another! I’ve used BBs in the past they work great too. Like you said the #8 shot is without a doubt squeezing a bit more weight into those tight spaces but I do believe both work well. Thank you again for the view and the comment. 🙌🏼🙇🏻
I need your help. I have been trying to set my fronius torch up like the one your using now but the 2 Pyrex kits I have bought don’t fit. Can you link me to the exact setup you have?

OK - Gotta Ask - why did you make the "weight" hollow then fill it with shot? Why not just use Round Stock for the weight - and save a Lot of extra work?
The cost differential of the solid stock would make me have to put them at an unsaleable price point. If you were building one or two and could clip a small section it would absolutely really the way to go.
@@HouseofChop Didn't realize the cost of Round Stock would cost more than the materials you used plus (3 pieces to make the can then drill the hole and fill it and 3 machines plus the time it took to draw and then cut it out plus the costs of material) the labor that went into making them ($/Hr. added cost) Labor Costs something does it not? I "think" that if you put it all together, then the cost would actually be less. Would it not?
@@dc85337 Undoubtedly standing on a factory floor turning these things out and paying for labor you are 110% correct. There is quite a bit more being extracted here than just the finished product and that’s where the mathematics change a bit.

Can’t wait to get my hands on my third hand 😁
Neither can I! Super excited to hear what you think about it. 🔥👍🏼🔥
Is there a reason why you would choose to make the finger it self out of a material that melts at a lower temp than steel?
It’s in no danger of reaching those temps and the conductivity of the copper is the reason for using it. It is used to eliminate unwanted arc strikes.
Great video. Sweet looking third hands. Mahalo for sharing! : )
