I'm 68 years old now and used to do a lot of this in my younger days, Unfortunately I was caught in a roof cave in and my Friends had to dig me out, I have suffered from Claustrophobia ever since and have never ventured into an unknown cave ever since, I even get cold sweats just watching you guys doing this.
Having my first child 19 years ago made me claustrophobic among other things. I also picked up a bunch of phobias that I did not have until the day I gave birth to my daughter. I used to love dogs, then all of a sudden I'm terrified of them. Idk but wish I did know the science behind what I'm going thru
You guys need to bring a geologist with you a few times to decipher more of those unique fossils and makeup of these layers of stone and rock. Love ur channel gents!
@@CaveChronicles I don't know anyone specifically, off the top of my head anyway, but there's lots of videos of scientists, geologist, etc caving and studying things here on RUclips.
It's amazing! Wonder what's the longest they ever spent in a cave. Recently went for an 8 day jungle track and can't imagine what it's like to spend several days in a cave
Oh my goodness. I can not imagine finding something like that on my property. I’d spend more time underground than above if I had. What a lucky prop owner.
The fact the sink hole happened, means there's something unstable happening below ground. It can collapse futher with them in it, plus the ground appears to be saturated with water, further un-stablizing the grounds. Very dangerous exploration, but they are thrill seekers. Good luck.
Exhaust gases from fossil fuel power stations and transport increases SO₂ NOx and CO₂ concentrations in the air which accelerates the formation and expansion of sink holes as the acidic rain filters through the rock and dissolves it away.
I'm claustrophobic but I just keep telling myself you're walking through these caves! Thank you for taking me along. I appreciate your care not to harm any of the wildlife or the formations. Also it's nice to hear the wonder and appreciation in your voice. No foul language makes your channel a positive place to bring my grandkids for an adventure. THANK YOU!!
I’ve been watching you guys for a while, and man, I get crazy anxiety when you are doing those lay down crawls. I love your videos. It lets me see things I wouldn’t get to see otherwise
I get that anxiety too, but I think it’s why I like it. My crazy cousin used to lead us into places like way back when we didn’t have the sense not to follow him.
I watched this and remember when I was young. We used to do stuff like this, and my cousin would lead us. I’ve been in some tight places and watching your videos kind of freaks me out. We crawled through water and small holes. I’m almost 61, so there is no way in hell I would think of doing anything like this. I do like watching you guys risk your lives! lol! Be safe!
I think that cave is much taller than it looks, it's just filled with mud. All the water dropping down those holes is going down further and eroding below the main passage. If I'm right and it keeps eroding a second passage below, it's going to get sketchy walking above
As fascinating as these sinkhole/caves are, there’s no way I could ever get go down in one. The fear of getting lost or something collapsing makes me panic just thinking about it 😳
The level of anxiety I feel when I watch your vids is sometimes at an uncomfortable level but I can’t stop watching. Consistently exciting and interesting. Nice work guys.
Great cave, the colours on the walls and ceilings are beautiful. I like how you turn the camera towards you, as we get a better understanding of how tight it really is.
Having a sinkhole open up under or near my property is a top 5 fear of mine, especially because my house was built only a few dozen feet above the water table next to swampland. I know there has to be a huge wet carved out cave system nearby. If I find an entrance I'll send you guys the coordinates because as much as I enjoy the content. I personally won't indulge unless it's a well traveled cave. Love the vids though boys.

Hearing that the cave system was getting bigger only in the last month screamed red alert to me, because that means the cave is not stable and your interactions could cause a cave-in. Also, water constantly pouring in means flooding is also a real risk. You guys are insane to enter an unmapped cave under these conditions.
It's like it was created to be explored by such as yourselves. Many fairly smooth, walkable floors, many areas high enough to go through without much trouble and comfortably wide. Quite amazing!
The "roots" could be a couple of things. Some of them look like trace fossils; fossils of the tracks/tunnels made from animals or worms burrowing. Some do look like sticks or the sea-creature version of them. All super cool! What a neat thing to have open on your property. Thanks for the video! Keep it up.
Around 7:20, if you blow up your screen to see the back of the cave. Quite sure it’s rock, but kinda looks like some eyes staring back at you. 👀 Caving is crazy, you guys are brave. Great video, thanks!
Y'all need to be careful and block that entrance pff to the public. When going down you should take Oxygen. This is so cool i can't get over how smooth n flat the ceiling is. But that is what water does it cuts into stuff this was a very cool find and loads and loads of content down there be careful.
It's on private land, there shouldn't be public around it. If there is, saying, "why are you on my property," while holding a shotgun usually dissuades said public from returning. Also don't need oxygen for that type of cave. The air is moving around inside it. Very unlikely to have any dead ends with dead air in.
The zero effs given regarding those big ass jumping spiders…. I’m not scared of spiders but in that tight space? It would have given me pause or an aneurysm. Wowie! Beautiful cave tho!
@6:46 xD pause and click blue Yeah man I am scared or used to be of spiders, 🤔 that did have to be big spider from that perspective lol😳f that lmao I’d hit my head on the turn around, maybe The slow mo is even funnier lol
I'm pretty sure that the long worm or snake-like formation is either tree roots that got slowly covered and mineralized, then the root rotted away, or it's what's left of a marine creature's borrow that became crystalized. Either way, it's still cool as hell. People walk over unknown and unseen caves and pits every day in Karst areas, and would never have expected what lies beneath their feet. I live in a State with huge Karst areas with thousands of sinkholes and caves There's a river not far from me that flows on the surface, but then it disappears into a sink, runs underground in a massive cave for a few miles, pops back up, for a short ways, and sinks again and runs for a mile or so, then rises back up and runs on the surface again. Normally when it's dry, it's impossible to recognize, and the rises and sinks just look like ponds, but when it rains hard, the sinks become raging whirlpools, and the rises become fountains about ten to fifteen feet tall. I got to see it in action, and it was awesome. In one square mile on the surface in the area, there are over 2000 sinkholes of various sizes, and it resembles a huge block of Swiss cheese. Thanks for another great video!
The fact you guys saw “albino white millipedes” means they have been thriving down there throughout so many generations they eventually evolved to lose their pigment due to living in constant darkness. I can only imagine how old this cave system actually is, and how deep it may truly go. Super interesting
