I love this because they all showed their singing styles. Ruben was smooth as warm butter, Fantasia got a chance to cut lose and Kelly brought it back down with the sweet falsetto. Perfect!
Man, I LOVE the 3 of them together. Fantasia is just singing her FACE off. And then Kelly, another monstrous vocalist shows you the tender aspect of her voice and delivers the most angelic sound in the world. And of course Ruben's clarity and accuracy compliments them both. Such excellent singing

Almost 20 yrs later I still randomly watch videos from this special. They all were amazing. My 3 favorite idols. Wished they’d do something like this now.
aww that was nice, ruben put his silk smooth voice in it, fantasia, put her soul in it, although i don't think she needed to jump around, and kelly put her sweet angelic voice in it, it was beautiful, although kelly looks so tired, she was probably in the middle of tour or something, i know that girl lives on the road, she looks really exhausted, except for the duet she did with fantasia.

What's with the comparing. All 3 of them are winners and showed people exactly why they won. U can't compare. U got a powerful yet soft country/pop voice, a smooth r&b voice, and the powerful gospel voice. Mix it together it brings out the execllence in all three singers. this was a very nice performance
