This movie have same case like ghostbusters 2016. But opposite. Ghostbusters good in rotten tomatoes but worst in imdb. That's why I'm so dislike rotten for now. From I conclude rotten always give good criticics to disney movies. Just like marvel movies and princess. This make me so suspicious about that.

If I want to be honest, I liked the movie. Sure, the dialogue was pretty boring, and the main human protagonist was very uninteresting. But the cliff hanger was an orc that would be raised by humans, and that would be a very interesting sequel. I wish the critics wouldn't be that harsh towards the movie, we could've get a proper better sequel.

If you actually look at worldwide box office though, it's budget was $160,000,000 and international box office grossed $391,683,624. Making the film the highest grossing movie adaptation of a video game ever as overall it grossed, $439,048,914 when you combine the international and domestic box office's. As to the costs of airing internationally. Even then, it most likely made an overall profit.
I wonder how long it will take for some Warcraft fans to realize this movie is based on Warcraft I: Orcs & Humans, and *not* World of Warcraft. :/

I think this looks incredible! I've only played WoW but I've been in love with the lore and settings bc of WoW. I cannot wait to see this... finally full-length storytelling instead of just the game openings. I can't conceive how long this has taken them but hell yes I'm going to see this in IMAX... anything less is almost disrespectful! :-)

I do not understand either i watched this movie 3 times in cinema it was that good. I loved warcraft 3 but never played WOW and to think fans disliked this stuff is beyond me you would atleast think they gave blizzard credit for actually doing this and bring warcraft to the bigscreen.
As a fan of the lore, Warcraft and world of Warcraft... the movie was a let down. It had good moments and fights... but the humans where just plain dumb or had 0 appeal. The orcs ar its high point.... the story Is rushed (by months or years at times) it ends messy and it tries to mix Warcraft 1 and 2 all in one... but letting out the fall of stormwind and the creation of the Alliance of Lordaeron plus killing A VERY meaningfull character that LITTERALLY commanded one of the forces in Warcraft 2.... it does not deserve a sequel... seen it 3 times 1 on cinemas... glad to see it on the big screen... sad it was this huge of a let down

It is a shame so few have gone to see this movie. Not one person I have talked to who has watched it disliked it, everyone is surprised it was so good. The fantasy ancient world is very well done, you feel for the characters, the pace is right and the villain is definitely intimidating.

The CGi of the orcs exceeded my iexpectations, DUrotan and Blackhand along with their voices look apsolutely Incredible. Garona is stunning. THe whole thing looks apsolutely incredible, hyped is not enough to express my feelings now!

+Henrik Vigda We will see more than just Orcs or Garona, we will actually going to see a female Dreanei in the movie as it was mentioned in the cast and crew Elena Wurlitzer as Dreanei mother, meaning we will actually see a full image of a Dreanei in the film. Perhaps the Dreanei mother would be either Garona's Mom giving birth to her at the start of the film. Or would just be a random Dreanei but the possibility of the former is high, due to the fact it was part of the sub-main crew.

The plot is easy to follow (Horde guys need a new world since theirs is dying and they teleport to the human's world, the humans and the other races from that world form the Alliance to stop the Horde), there's many good scenes, the cgi is good and I honestly liked it a lot. Surely there's some things us non fans didnt pick up but even so the movie was still very enjoyable to watch

I've never played WoW, but I saw the movie in cinema because so many of my friends who played the game were excited and after I watched it, I checked how well it was received and the critics did not do it justice. I enjoyed it. It was a good movie IMO.

I was hoping for that too. Arthas is one of the most tragic character of all time. From fairy-tale like Prince to the most evil villain ever who causes massive devastation of his own homeland.

As the Champion of Stormwind and having played an integral part in defending our great capital against the attack of Deathwing the Destroyer; I would appreciate a role in this film.
I feel as though, being a Champion, I should be played by someone of equivalent status. Gerard Butler perhaps? Idris Elba would also be a good classy choice.
It would be suitable for my character to have a wife who is as strong as she is sexy, sassy and intelligent. Emilia Clarke or even Jennifer Lawrence seem perfect here.
I look forward to seeing who you cast as Stormwind Champion and seeing how you portray my gallantry in the Deathwing attack in whichever sequel that event may be in.

If it's good, then the talented people in Hollywood (the really good film makers) might get interested in the franchise, because this universe really gives them the chance to put some great and memorable stories on the big screen and have their name attached to something as big as the MCU.
But it can also bomb. With all the hype building, this movie has to be great, and i'm talking Avengers, Lord of The Rings, Matrix,The Godfather etc...

It's kind of a different approach, really. I love the movie, the ending set up for a sequel, but we probably won't be getting it, as many people say that the movie didn't make a lot in the US. Like, for pete's sake! This is just the beginning! I see a lot of people like me are waiting for the elves (both nght and high), pandaren and other races to be included, but how can that happen if Blizz is targeting just money? K, bye. The best scene of film is from 38 to 49 minute, I've shuddered! It could be the the best movie lately made. Version that I found is pretty good quality of sound and video (720p, I think). From what I've seen there are added German, Romanian and French subtitles. Here is a link above :)

As someone who's never played it, this doesn't get me interested. It looks watered-down. It looks like every other big CGI-laden blockbuster with plain dialogue and unconvincing acting. This looks like, 'We'll hook them with name recognition and coast the rest of the way.' Shame. I was thinking maybe this would give me a glimpse at what some of my friends enjoy playing.

The premise of Warcraft 1 is complex, (the game) and to translate that into a movie, they're gonna have to appeal to the mass public; not everyone players Warcraft. Believe me when I say this, even though you didn't like the trailer, the movie isn't gonna be anything like it. The whole "plain dialogue" thing is just so that people who don't understand Warcraft can watch the movie aswell.

Just watched this movie! AWESOME! Left you wanting more. The characters are remembered whether you are for the Horde or Alliance. If you've only played WOW you will still understand the Warcraft storyline.

the movie did feel a bit rushed, i felt like it should have been a 3hr movie atleast. if you can get with the pace of the movie its pretty damn good. luckily i knew a lot about the lore already that i was able to follow most of it.

Most likely - although this is not what happened in the game lore - I personally prefer the game's version to Draka (seemingly) just abandoning her baby in a river and leaving him to his fate - that's OK if you're a lonely, desperate member of a persecuted race who's trying to save her baby from the murderous pharaoh's soldiers, not the when you're the leaders of an entire warrior clan with the 2nd-in-command/warchief of the entire Horde as your best friend (although the movie could well offer a convincing explanation)

This is one of the greatest movie adaptations I've ever watched. I don't even play WOW but I never felt blindsided watching this movie. And the CGI was just eye candy considering from the time it was released. This movie is very underrated. It's just that it didn't gave me a satisfactory ending. Significant characters lost lives with the cost of nothing. But still a very great movie 🍿🎥

I just saw the movie, 3 years after it came out. Due to the critics I saw, I refused to watch it when it came out. Let me say Warcraft is an AMAZING movie in every aspect. It annoys me how the critics have treated it, and its director. Finally there's a movie that has it all: faithful to the original story, a solid argument with interesting and wholesome characters, secondary stories that contribute to the film and don't feel empty, decent effects, and finally, a perfect ending (that leaves you wanting more).
I'm usually extremely harsh with movies, especially the recent cringy ones that seems are made for kids with stupid jokes all the time, empty characters, romances that don't make sense, etc. But this is not one of those. Maybe that's the reason the critics treated Warcraft the way they did. It didn't sell as well as the "family friendly" ones. The new "conventional". It makes me so upset that their incompetence is keeping me from watching the second, and third delivery of this story, when nowadays the cinema is nothing but remakes and shitty movies.
Hopefully we'll have Warcraft II some time in the future, I will pay my ticket to see it at the premiere, as it deserves. If you are reading this and haven't seen it yet, please DO. Especially if your a Warcraft fan.

Alot of you are mistaken this for a world of warcraft based movie.. Your wrong this is strongly based on the original warcraft series about the beginning of the war between the alliance and the horde starting with the humans of Azeroth and the orcs. Turans and gnomes all those side races don't come until later if your wondering why you only see but humans and orcs. Trolls maby and night elves maby because they were the first alli to there faction.

This (at least in my opinion) is the least interesting of the Warcraft lore. Warcraft 2 and 3 I really hope come out, check out the lore for them (they'll most likely be the next movies) if you're interested.
