Problem with mine is it's unresponsive. I've known this method and many others. No part of the controller board looks fried, it's cleaned out. Just does not register my input. Swapping pads I found it was the board mapping but am lost as to what is wrong with it
Kinda late here but try pulling the circuit film out and clean it with some 50% isopropyl alcohol and after it dries up take a No.2 pencil and carefully color in the button spots. The lil black spots. The use a cloth old t shirt or something an wipe em off. It may help and if it does it won't last but only a few days but it's the same way as any "fix" for ps4 controllers temporary at best. Also check the ribbon cables really quick and make sure you haven't put them in a lil rough and tore the gold connections check both the one on the back part or the controller and the one that comes from the touch pad. The best fix is buying a new one and these days they're hard to find without ordering it online from a reputable place like Walmart not GameStop. They gave me a refurbished PlayStation two times. While charging me for a new one an the only reason I knew it because the void sticker was tore off the 1st one and the 2nd one had dust caked in the vents. Good luck

@@Pk1da Nice 👍 idk what made me think of it. I might've seen it on here somewhere I'm not sure but I've known graphite was conductive for years so 🤷. It works ok for me for about 45 minutes sometimes longer 🤣 and you may as well order some ribbon cable too. I've found that when one of the pins ground out with one of the connections things get weird. Like L2 combines with R3 or X.. I'm sure they have pre cut pieces but I ordered some 24 pin cable a long time ago and used some of it. I just used an exacto knife and cut it to size. I have a completely custom controller now with new better quality analog sticks and mapped buttons lol. It's pretty much a scuff but probably better. But nothing beats just buying a new one. Good luck

Hey if you're like me who already did this and the r1/l1/r2/l2 button still doesn't work, it might be the green contact trace on the plastic that is not connecting well to the gray contact trace. What I did was to get a pencil and basically traced/drew a line going from the green contact trace to the grey contact trace (do it a couple times like you're shading with the pencil but don't overdo it). Now try to put back the rubber pads and see if the contacts have been connected by the pencil line you drew (pencil has lead in it so it can make a contact), just try and try till the button finally responds. Hope this helps.
My R1 works but my R2 does not respond ,I opened the controller and everything looks clean and it was working good all day till the next day it sudennly stopped
couple of months ago I opened up my ps4 controller to fix the stick drift on my left stick, managed to fix it and put it back together but I soon noticed that the l2 trigger didnt work, tried countless times to fix it and watched alot of tutorials, ive tested the controller while it was open and all the buttons work expect the l2 trigger, im gonna give up on trying to get it to work :/
Hey can I ask does it work but not work properly. If so you will need to buy a replacement trigger silicone part as this wears down easily also check if the silver spring is still there

@@arkhamegt7370 it’s probably the right side of the board you could try and test it by pressing the board with your finger instead of the silicone part it it doesn’t work then the board is broken. You will need to but a replacement or easier buy a new controller
@@JJrJavier keen eye for this sort of thing is all. I honestly couldn't tell you how many times Ive pulled mine apart but to after a bunch of times it seems to just fall apart when I grab the grips that certain way lol
@@aldrintahiri I was playing Bloodborne one rainy day and out of nowhere the R2 button stopped working. A few days later my brother tested the controller and the R2 button appeared to work only to stop working again a few minutes later.
L3?, did u mean l2 and the reason your R1 stopped is maybe due to contact pads are aged, worn out or when resembling u may have accidentally put something in a wrong position

yes try to clean the parts ive cleaned in the video especially the contact pads but clean gently otherwise cleaning it rough can cause some issues i think

Does anyone know how to fix the l2 and r2 button randomly triggering without any pressure?
Not sure but most games have advanced controller options and you should be able to adjust your L2 R2 deadzones so they don't randomlu trigger

@@austinayala it’s crucial to keep it’s because it is what keeps the trigger up so you can press it down. Without it the trigger won’t come back up.
