I agree with "ADL Hikes". You had an extreme adventure from mountain lions and SPOT search and rescue, to your personal on-trail relationship, and the final snowy push to complete. I know it's so hard to expose yourself, but please please continue. You owe it to your readers and the world to hear in your own voice what you went through. What it's like. If you feel this deeply then remember that your reader will feel those same intense feeling too. This is the art-form of a good memoir. Good, bad, happy ending, sad ending, it doesn't matter. It's your journey. What matters is you being truthful no matter how hard this is for you. People should know that a long trail is not just walking from point A to point B, but it's a life changing, and sometime a life affirming journey and sometime not. Please don't question yourself. YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.
Your up & down PCT experience mirrors your feelings in retrospect. That’s what makes your writing worthwhile. Of course you subsequently did a bunch more adventuring. Between your blog, UB’s videos, and hanging out w/him, I felt like I got to know you even though we never met. Good times 😎
ADL Hikes Thank you for being part of this adventure too... it’s been a bumpy ride like the PCT was, but it’s been equally as satisfying reaching milestones along the way. The biggest different is not knowing how long this ‘trail’ will take or how far it stretches! :)

Brian Watt Thank you Brian for being such a wonderful voice of support! I promise you I won’t give up, just like on the trail!
