    ITBs are really nothing more than running a carburetor on each cylinder. Except they're "dry." Meaning no fuel present like a carb. Japanese motorcycle engines used this technology over 60 years ago, culminating in the 1978 CBX, 6cyl, which had 6 carbs.....

      ITBs are Electronic Fuel Injection not carburetted. They are much more efficient both performance wise and economically.
