Simon Fowler is underrated in my opinion , one of the greatest ever song writers.
I remember as a teen my Dad would say the music in 60s was the best. I feel now the 90s is my 60s.....
my god i miss the 90s
With all true performers, their voices rarely if ever change. There is something eternal to Fowler's sound. Haunting and poignant.
Saw them last night in Bristol. As awesome as they were a couple of decades ago when I last saw them
@@andygray1098 I hope they played 'Robin Hood' and 'Profit in Peace' - amazing songs that ring even truer today.
Well said mate
Incredible performance. Moseley shoals is one of the best albums ever written. A masterclass in song writing, vocals and track order. It is lost on the Spotify generation who pick out the odd song they like and don't get to appreciate the order of an album and the brilliance of something in its entirety.
Fuckin kudos to you sir.
I was born in 87 and when I was a young teen I got ahold of that album and played it to death.
This performance was just what I needed.
The order of thing IS important. Listening to a record in its entirety is muddled in the digital freedom these days.
Definitely. Hugely underrated album and still stands the test of time. Hugely underrated band. Remember playing it to death as teenager
Well said! 👏
One of the greatest male voices ever. He’s an absolutely astounding singer.
I may not be the first to say this, but.........this is just about as perfectly beautiful as a song can be .... thank you Mr Fowler 🙏🏼
I listened this morning and I started to cry. So much soul and love and sadness in the words and in the voice. Beautiful. Thank you.
Grew up listening to Ocean Colour Scene and listening to this song live on the breakfast show brought back so many memories. Amazing talent and brilliant performance.
Superb one of the best soundtracks of the 90's 👏
This guy has wrote some of the most beautiful songs iv ever heard..legend..see you in edinurgh on the 20th ocs 🤘
Still got that moseley Scholes era voice 90s why do I love it so much fucking class he's a top singer respect to simon fowler 🇬🇧😎👍
That album was a piece of work
WoW
My favourite song when I was 19…Hearing that again now…Nothing has changed my mind.
Strange how the lyrics connect totally different when played electric to acoustic…And when you’re hurtling towards 50!
Such an underrated song.
Beautifully performed 🥲
Seen these last week in Liverpool, played robin hood, lucky enough to have been sat on the balcony so could soak it up, sat there eyes closed listening to him and crowd, thought doesn't get any better does it?
The only thing better would be Echo and The Bunnymen singing Killing Moon. Fortunately I have tickets later in the year 😎
His voice just brings me right back to great times
Few performers improve as they age. Simon Fowler is one of them. What a fucking unbelievable voice
what a voice.. ♥️
Straight to my heart ❤️
breath taking, when he raised it up... amazing voice
Beautiful acoustic perfomance.
Travellers Tune and acoustic The Circle my favourite OCS tracks. Brings back memories of 1997, thanks.🙏
Totally magical from Simon. Love their full band and acoustic sets. Bravo 👏
What a tune! I love it played acoustically. Simon's voice is improving with age.
Pure emotional singing to a great song by Simon... not to mention it is a beautiful song, and a hit for he band!
Still a great singer all these years later!
Blimey , Simon's put on some timber , he now looks like a coach driver .
This is music!!! Nothing like the shite we have now. What a voice Simon 👏 🙏
LEGEND!!!! That is all ....
My favourite song from my favourite band of the 90s
Absolutely amazing,so good it brings a tear to my eye 👍🤘👌
Love Simon and OCS.
Brilliant... and a great little homage to the Inspirals at the end... two of the best bands of the 90s...
Can’t put into words how much I love this song!
Cheeky little inspirals but at the end there. Cracking stuff.

Imagine being 2 Guinness and half a bottle of Rioja deep and finding this. 😂 class, take me back! Verve, Oasis, OCS 🎉
And Slayer.
2 Guinness and half a bottle of Rioja? That’s some Tuesday lunchtime, mate….👍😉😄
@@graham1745 I’d say it would have been a Friday or Sat night.
Only drink 0% now. 🤌🏻
Are you actually serious vocally he’s ok but I fell asleep cuz it’s so boring you defend oasis and use the spice girls your actually boring unoriginal and just downright atrocious music taste
Brilliance
Fantastic
Damn i have just realised how old i have got :) 50 next year
My goodness me Simon, you're looking well travelled.
But my goodness me, you're sounding magnificent.
Jim Davidson has the voice of an angel.
😂😂
Brilliant
My favourite band grew up following OCS still the best long live ocs
Just aye🎼👍
This is how the song was originally written by Simon
wow
❤✌️🌍⭕️
Ian Beale's quite a chanter, hiy!
Simon always does that last line in every acoustic rendition. I think it was part of the original song but was probably left out by the record company or producer of Moseley Shoals as the single and album release sound quite "upbeat". Dunno. It's just a guess.
@@miko1975guitar I only found that out today. Although I doubt a chorus could be copywrited.
it’s taken from the inspiral carpets song, This is how it feels.
Wow, I didnt know Jim Davidson could sing!
Doesn't sound like the happiest of fellas 😂
Sad song mate, would lose its meaning sang any other way.
