For a micro that can't carry an additional cam, digital is a great option because DVR is usable (at least for me as an amateur). To bad that on this one the cam guards are visible on the side.
OMG, I'm dying, Bubby telling JB to fly better than, epic! Love it, super fun!!! The bantering back & forth is so fun, you guys are great! Driblet with digital, now that's a cool idea. What a great place to fly, sun isn't directly hitting the pilots, lot's of awesome challenges and your in nature, what could be better! Another great edit!!
I wish there was a 2.5- 3inch version of this! I need a new frame for my cinelog25 but i want to turn it into a little ripper with the 1404 4500kv motors and the vista
Nice job expanding options for pilots. I still feel the image looks washed out and colors keep changing. I'm glad I didn't switch yet from my dji set up. Excited to see what the o3 air unit looks like next to this
Bought this guy aa my first drone! Was surprised how fast it was for it's size. Was crazy durable but I smacked the frame holding the camera too hard and it broke the camera wire. Replaced the full size walksnail vtx with the 1s and my flight time almost doubled (not exaggerating, from about 3.5 min to a little over 6). For something this size I didn't need the range of the full vtx, 1 s was still crazy good range at 200 power ( can go up to 350 if I wanted).
Is there a 1S version? Get a 1S AVATA Whoop board going, finish tuning the OTA protocol, and rule the FPV space. Until then it’s DJI at 3” and above, and HDZ for whoop/1S builds.
The decased walksnail vtx is lighter than the decased vista... so light builds are also possible with it. DJI dosn't really care for FPV/freestyle etc. imo.
Has no one flown a Mobigital (75mm) or a Digitooth (3inch)? De-cased vistas are super durable for me so far having just as much fun. Thanks for awesome vids as always guys.
The last part with the glasses/camera can be true, however it depends entirely on the focal length and aperture of the lens. Adjusting those two can significantly change the blurriness.
I have a whole fleet of digital Micro quads down to 2inch and for me they are much more fun than a 5 inch and give me so many more opportunities to fly at lot's of different Spots. They all run with a full sized Vista.
Agreed! 5" are too hyped. Too hard to find good spaces to fly 5" when you live in the suburbs of a big city! Why do you think all of these reviewers fly in concrete parking lots? Because it's hard to find big large places that aren't concrete when you live in a city. With micros, I can go to any of 5 or do parks right down the street from me, only 5 minutes away, that blows away the only place that's good for 5"... And it's 30 minutes from me. All 5 parks are better places to fly than the 5" spot! Micro quads are highly underrated! 😎🤘
@@fpv-teacher I get it! I actually think that newbies should not choose which quad to buy from the hype of most reviewers, cuz they are so focused on 5" sometimes it's kinda craZy, but rather scout their area via google maps and then in person and find the cool parks to fly at near them. Then, depending on the size of that park and the frequency of dog walkers, etc., pick a quad that will be best to fly in that size and layout of that park. Is it surrounded by houses? Is it small in size, but no houses or few nearby? Is it full of trees to weave through and really huge, or is it really small? A lot of options, but then again, if they're a newbie it can be hard to figure out what quad might be suitable to a certain park. I just think, to make it simple, that Newbies should start out with a 2 or 2.5" quad because they can fly those anywhere! 5", I have 3, and I never fly them. Micro's, I have soooo many, and they are my constant go to! :) I'm in Portland, Oregon, where are you from?
@@KOrnhOliO1 I am from Austria and live just outside Vienna. You are saying it bro. I have my bag always in my car so that I can go fly if I see an interesting new spot. Just take the Lipos out at work and home.
From almost 2 years I fly 2.25" micro with vista and nebula pro on it. It's 170g with 4s 450mah battery and flies up to 5 min, for aggresive flight it takes about 2-3min. Recently I built very similar but with different motors drone that fly with DJI Action 2 on top, it's 249.5g and flies well, but not great for freestyle. 🐝🐝🐝
VIDEO IDEA: Attach a Super 8 Film Camera to a cinelifter or whatever drone will carry one and get some footage with that. You can get about 2 and 1/2 min at 24fps on one of them so it would be enough for a small rip around. I think it would be enjoyable to watch the build process and how the footage comes out.
I play gelblaster before moving to fpv drone hobby Gelblaster same like airsoft, but using small gelball instead of bb n its less hurting 😁 Both are good hobby
8:35 "Didn't hear any propwash there" he says as the quad just *shook* with the propwash. He may not have heard it, but the quad certainly did suffer a lot of propwash at that spot.
This Driblet was really heavy for the size of props or uses as an analog quad. It's got to be a behemoth with the Vista added. A person can build a lot better quad than this one is. It also uses 1106 motors, which aren't very efficient and not used much for quite some time now. 🤷🙄
Very cool Would love to see a full build video on the avatar system Especially for 6s quads because I am unclear about what pad to solder the power wire to????
Looks like I’ll have to dust off my Driblet. Used this little guy years ago learning how to fly and stopped using it when I went digital. Would I need a new bottom plate to use a 25x25 setup?
Just use a different frame. The Driblet was super heavy as an analog quad. With a Vista it's gonna be really heavy. It also uses inefficient older 1106 motors , which aren't used much at all anymore. Everyone's gone to 1202, 1203, 1404, etc. I'd get a new lighter frame, and upgrade those motors for more flight time. Then, use a naked Vista to cut the Vistas weight in half. Still really durable. You'll get the all important power to weight ratio way up making it much lighter with more efficient motors, and still get long flight times with super lightweight lipos. Plus, getting it much lighter, makes it a lot more durable.... Less weight = Less damage when you crash! 👍 Best of luck! 😎🤘
It just seems to lack power. The 3 inch variants like the toothpick seem far superior in performance, power, energy utilization, carrying capacity, etc.
This micro quad is like reheating an old dinner. An ineffective concept from years ago. Heavy frame and motors up to 2 inches? The world of micro drones has gone a long way and now you can buy or assemble yourself a much lighter and more effective micro 2-3S on 2-2.5 inch propellers. Just look at the micro 1S designed by Kabab, Mr. ShutterBug, Quad 66 or Angry Don.

annoying when people put size as the reason of "cant do this and that", smaller has less mass to accelerate
Smaller props are less efficient and though so as things shrink you lose out to that even though the mass decreases.
