    If you want to make notches on the Fast Feeds like the Andis Master. Step #1 close the blade. With a sharpie, mark the spot (on the clipper body where the adjustment arm is). Then open the blade, mark the spot. then find your halfway spot on the clipper body (mark the spot with the sharpie). Then in between the halfway spot and the closed point, mark a spot (Same with open all the way and the halfway point). Then with an engraver, clean out the sharpie markings so that those points are permanently engraved. (You can use this technique with Wahl Seniors as well. Enjoy

      Matt Giftedhands I heard you say that this was the first time using the fast feed that you normally use the andis master, they are almost the same if you want to zero gap your fast feeds buy a oster detachable blade #1 and take off the cutting blade off and put it on Thur fast feeds and adjust the the top blade and your set. But great face.

    @Matt Giftedhands took a shot at this today. Also working with Fast Feeder. Where I struggle is trying to blend the lines you have created into the hair above. In the video you mentioned to toggle back and forth on the lever as you try to fade, but in doing so, I found myself raising the line even higher resulting in a higher fade. Any tips on getting better at fading out that line? Thank you! Your work is much appreciated!

    • @thesuccessfulbarber
      @thesuccessfulbarber 5 лет назад

      Ive been cutting for 3 years and the best tip is make your lever open guideline as big as you possibly can. Like over an inch. Makes fading very easy

    Just like you did, I always see barbers use the 1 guard first, then go down to the 0, but they have to go back to the 1 because there's too much bulk. I think it would be better to start with the 0 open as a completely separate guideline or go higher with the 1 to leave more space for the 0. It all works out the same in the end, but requires an extra step that could be avoided.

    Hi,
    I am in search of some advice. My boyfriends birthday is coming up and my gift idea is a grooming kit because he talks about needing new stuff. Clippers are at the top of the list. Unfortunately, I know nothing about clippers O_o. Can you possibly give me some advice? I've done some research on my own about the Oster Fast Feed. I love how quiet they are and the smooth transition between blade modes (if that is the correct term lol). Also wanted to know how you feel about Scotch Porter Beard Care products or even if you have heard of them. Thank you so much for your help in advance.Many Blessing

    • @MattGiftedhands
      @MattGiftedhands  7 лет назад

      +Beatriss Calhoun hey sorry for he late reply. But awesome that would be a great gift!! I would look into some cordless clippers. Like the Wahl magic cordless clippers I use in my videos. The link is in the description of my videos. Oyster fast feeds are good as well. But for self grooming it'll be a lot easier to use cordless. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
