We were worried about being late, assuming that a hundred people would be waiting at the doors at 11 when the pub opens. (He was scheduled to play at 12:00.) We got there about 11:30, and we're shocked that we could sit right by the stage. Josh plays mainly Irish folk songs at that venue, but he played some of his originals for us. Imagine going to see Dylan and he mainly sings American folk songs from the 1800's. Don't get me wrong, I loved meeting him and listening to his absolutely heartfelt renditions of these standards. I just kept wondering if everyone there understood what they were missing: the best songwriter in Nashville, the man who should be the voice of his generation. If I live to be a thousand, I'll never understand why Josh O'keefe is more well-known.
The biggest thing to happen to music in the last 50 years is Josh Okeefe... and I seriously fucking mean that, well done lad this is incredible and groundbreaking folk music much love brother ❤️

Thinking about it i realised that 'we' could mean eveyone alive now but also every previous generation too. Hope to catch you perform again soon.
