Step one: disable ABS on your 701/690 before even trying

@@MrVisbokaal ive no idea cause i have the 2019 version which doesnt have all the TC and ABS maps that the new one has 🤷🏻♂️ but i think that mode 2 turns abs on the aft wheel only? If so it could be enough. My abs stabilizes the bike on its lateral axis when braking, that s why it has to be turned off. Hope it helps

If you're on a 2 stroke just shift down 2gears- release the clutch and you are perfectly going out of the corner, while maintaining your way to high speed. Just try it it's a lot of fun i promise 😂🤌

Years ago I used to visit a friend in San Pedro CA, actually in Rancho Palos Verdes with a great view. I'd drive my Ducati up in the evening spend hours talking... wine... well late night I would head down to the Harbor Fwy. The streets were dry and the beginning of the entry ramp 270 degree... too... but not about 180 degrees of it damp with dew and I'd be on the throttle hard... slide both wheels right up onto the fwy. Of course, traffic was light. Rule one never brake it, rule two no abrupt movements, rule three stay right where you are throttle, clutch and brakes and let it just slide right along with only the least control inputs... !

Supersports bikes aren't really much fun tbh and no matter how much I slip the clutch on the Ninja I always seem to get wheel hop. :0(

When I am riding my 690 quite fast and I break realy hard before a corner the rear of my bike starts sliding a bit even when the abs is on. I thing I have to try it with abs off.

Hi - what year is your bike and what year fmf exhaust did you use .. I'm trying to make the same set up.. I have a 2022 bike - do I need the 2017-2019 model pipe or the 2020 onwards? I know whatever pipe I buy will need modifying but let me know so I can order it ASAP! 😃

essentially just downshifting to the desired gear and dumping the clutch to cause an engine brake which will cause the rear to slide. can be done with all bikes not just SM's for those of you who dont have one. i do this with my triumph speed twin

Are the abs off? What speed/gear do you have in to corner? From 4-5 down to 2-3?
Turn abs and tc off. Which gear depends on the corner!

Yep, looks a lot smoother as well... With a decent slipper clutch feathering the clutch is also not needed, just bang it to the right gear.
Step 1: first practice this in an open parking lot so your not screwed if you don’t make a corner. Then worry about your hair.

How many gears does he drop, till the wheel locks? Or just one gear for engine braking
Depends on the corner, but most of the time 3 or 4 gears.

SM Pilots don't use rear break to slide their bike. It's all about front break, downshifting and clutch control

Hey! I don't quite get it, do I have to hold the clutch halfway in order to slide or should I release it immediately after downshifting?
P.S If my bike has a slipper clutch, does the procedure stay the same?
you dont need youre clutch if you have a slipper cultch. just brake, shift back to first, youre foot on the rear brake and turn in, all at the same time. If you want it to stop sliding you slowly get yourr foot and fingers of the brake and shift back to second gear and off you go

am I just bad at english or does he not really explain anything about the beginning of the slide? Come in kind of hot, downshift from 4th to 2nd, clutch out easy, rear brake easy. I do this exact thing every day on the street without sliding, what initiates the slide?
I find i get the most consistent results when using the front brake to help unweight the rear tyre and start the slide .
@@rab.. subtle, true and aligns with my experience, unweighting your rear wheel into a turn is exactly parallel to skiing - initiating a fast downhill turn in moguls
