  • I get this question a lot: What’s the difference between a Zoom Webinar Vs a Zoom Meeting? To help with selecting the best tools for online business, I’ve put together this checklist of all the tools I use. ►► www.timpeakman.com/tools
    As someone who has been using Zoom for a while now, I have come to realize that there are two main styles of virtual meetings that the platform offers: Zoom Webinars and Zoom Meetings.
    Although they may seem similar at first glance, there are some key differences between them that can greatly affect the outcome of your virtual event. In this video, I will be discussing the differences between Zoom Webinars and Zoom Meetings, and when to use each one.
    Whether you're a student, a professional, or simply someone who has attended virtual events, you've probably come across both Zoom webinars and meetings. However, understanding the nuances and knowing when to use each one can significantly impact the success of your online gatherings.
    In this video, you will learn:
    1. The main purpose of these two styles and how they differ in terms of scale, interactivity, and engagement.
    2. The setup process for both webinars and meetings, including scheduling, invitations, and joining procedures.
    3. The unique features offered by each platform, such as screen sharing, Q&A sessions, and chat functions.
    4. And much more.
    Whether you're an entrepreneur looking to host a large-scale online event, an educator striving to create an interactive virtual classroom, or a business professional seeking to optimize your team meetings, this video will equip you with the knowledge you need to make informed decisions.
    Enjoy the process, no matter the outcome.

    Can you create breakout rooms with a webinar? Pop into the breakout rooms and sort out the participants when needed?
    Can I still make the webinar interactive, with audio and video, to call someone “on stage”?
    The problem with meetings is, it’s capped at 100 participants.

      Hey Reign. Thank you for those great questions. So the normal upgrade to Zoom Webinar won’t allow for breakout rooms, but you will be able invite participants to switch on their camera and mic so they can interact. If you select the option for no camera and no microphone in a meeting, will their tiles still show up on the screen?

      Hey Michelle. Great question. Yes their titles will still show up under the attendees tab, even if their video and mic are disabled. But you have the option within the meeting settings to toggle this on or off. So the attendees can see the number of other attendees or not. Hope this helps. 🤓

    Thank you for the video. If I don’t check the box “require attendees to authenticate to join”, what’s different for my students? Or for me? Can they join without Zoom on their phone? Sorry to bug you.

      Hi Jin, don’t worry, you’re not bugging me, I encourage these questions. 😁 So I recommend selecting the “authenticate to join” so that your audience don’t need a password. They just sign into their zoom account to access the call. And yes, all attendees will need a one-time download of zoom to attend the meeting. Hope this helps. 👍🏼

    How can register for upcoming (future) webinars ? I need to register for limited seat webinar and couldn't find a option to join

      @timpeakman  11 месяцев назад

      Great question. So if you’re creating a webinar for zoom to use the registrations function. Once you have the correct subscription, log into your zoom account then click on the ‘webinars’ tab, then click ‘+ schedule a webinar’. Then inside the settings check the ‘registration required’ box. Then once you’re happy with all the other settings, click ‘schedule’ and you’re done. Hope this helps.

    if i want my live launch attendees to be private to eaach other, is webinar better vs a meeting? also, if ive already sent out the link to the meeting, and i upgrade to webinars, do i have to send them a new link?

    • @timpeakman
      @timpeakman  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Ralph. Great questions. If you want your attendees to be private to each other then you will need to use the Zoom webinar function and disable the chat. And yes, this will be a completely different link to a Zoom meeting, so you will have to update or resend that link to your attendees. Hope this helps. 🤓
